Foundation

I have fair to medium skin with freckles.  I have brown hair and brown eyes.  I am 40 yrs. and foundation seems to look very noticeable and can not find a color match. foundation makes pores around nose larger and "sits" on my face .  Would like something to even out skin tone and maybe help reverse age : )   I have tried mineral powder .. can not get color correct and looks powdery.  have tried a few from clique ..best so far but noticeable.  tried bobby brown and it sits on top of skin .

Hi Suzannelouise I would recommend trying Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation.  It gives a nice medium coverage and comes in a wide range of shades.  To get the smoothest, most natural finish apply a primer first.  I would recommend trying Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer SPF 20 With Dermaxyl™ Complex it's an anti-aging primer that corrects and prevents future damage.

Have had same probs here, too!  Either shade wrong or it sort of feathers out on face and settles into lines.  I do, however, find Lancome's Dual Finish foundation matches and doesn't settle.  Very lightweight.  You may also want to go watch Lisa Eldridge's videos on YouTube about setting a foundation.  She names brands that pass her test for authentic looking skin.  Plus, she teaches how to properly match shades to your skin.  Love her!
