Fixing Mess-ups in a Rush....

I often find myself in a hurry to get ready and tend to smear my eyeshadow or mascara, and then have to fix it. I always seem to be left with dark circles under my eye, or at the corners. I do not wear any liquid foundation or anything, but was wondering if there is a good product out there to conceal/brighten those errors quickly before heading out the door? Also, be foundations (just bare minerals in medium beige), I don\'t know what color I should choose...
Also, I am heading to Germany on Monday and am placing my final order today, anyone have any killer travel product/travel in general tips?
Thanks!

I use my toner and a qtip to fix smears. I have a problem with loose powder when I do my eyeshadow. I find that the toner is a quick way to get it up, and is a easy fix.

Hi danispeed - you got some good info from the other gals already don't really have a lot to add other than I like Philosophy Purity Made Simple Makeup Remover/Face Cleansing Wipes, they're not too smelly and seem pretty gentle. I've tried a number of wipes that are so odorous & perfumey, couldn't even use them. There is a great set of Philosophy Purity Cleanser and Wipes, just ordered it myself.
Other than that, I hope you have a wonderful trip and hope you have great weather too, I hope you make it through airport security quickly and easily and have a safe, uneventful and on time flight! Enjoy!

Hi danispeed,
Beautytester has great tips for you! I'm not sure how mine will compare!
Definitely having some cotton swabs is the best way to clean up quick mistakes with liner mascara, even with lipstick too. Life savers! I also like to suggest bringing makeup wipes along to for quick fixes and to remove makeup before you cleanse your face. These are So helpful to myself when I go on trips.
Yes airplane flights can be so dehydrating! The facial mist idea is a fantastic one, I also recommend that you bring a good lip balm or gloss and even some small eye drops. I'm not sure if you are taking a direct flight or not but I had an 11 hour flight to Europe once and wow did I feel parched by the time I landed!
For your foundation I would really suggest you do go to a store and get matched if you can. Otherwise the colors are not too hard to choose from if you just know your skintone (golden or pink, olive or neutral). Do you already use the Medium Beige? You may even like a tinted moisturizer so you have quick coverage and hydration in one. ![]()
Stick to a palette instead of single shadows, a shade of lip gloss that flatters almost any shade of liner (and you can have multiple colors!) and roller ball perfumes and mini cleansers are the best way to go. They take up less space and usually fit TSA travel requirements. Have a fun time! ![]()

Best fix, cotton swab. I always manage to get mascara on my eyelid when I'm applying or blinking, so I dab the cotton swab in water, squeeze it dry with my fingers, then smudge the smudge and it's either gone or look like I have a darker shadow near the lash line, which is fine with me. If it's on the bottom lid, I basically "tightline" with the damp cotton swap. When I wear make up, I always bring cotton swap with me. You can lighten the area using concealer or lighter shadow, but I prefer take the smudge off with cotton swab then apply using small shadow or flat eyeliner brush.
As for foundations, it depends on your skintone and you should really go to store to get a second opinion and try it on. Look at it under different lighting before you buy.
As for travelling, I always bring a shawl type (big) scarf cuz the plane can get cold and it's easier to carry/store than a jacket; and I always bring a facial spray because long flights are especially dry and stuffy and going to the bathroom to apply moisturizer or refresh yourself is inconvinient and unsanitary, facial spray does the job. If you've got a couple product for which there's no substitute, take a travel size with you. If you are not particularly attached, why not go with the flow and try some local goodies? =)
