Hi there. I need some recommendations and /or advice. I have sensitive combination skin. I need a recommendation for a good serum.

secondly I meed some advice on some contouring products and tools. My skin is medium toned with yellow undertones mac nc40/42 and bobbi brown warm natural in skin foundation.

what products. Can you recommend for a beginner for highlighting and contouring? And in bobbi brown stick foundation would my shade be warm natural or a differ met shade?

i am also considering to purchase a nice small palette suitable for travel including blush and some shadows. What can you suggest?

I would recommend the Too Faced Natural Face Palette:upload_7942846474536510447.jpg

What is nice about this one is that it comes with cards that show you how to use the products to create different looks, so you can learn about contouring and what looks good on you!

Thanks for your replies . About the serum I want something that will help with moisture as well as antiaging. About the contouring I don't mind powder or liquid just something that's easy and provides good results!

Hi Crescent312, what results do you want from the serum? For contouring, I'd recommend GUERLAIN Terracotta Bronzing Powder in 07.  It's a great shade for a deeper skin tone. For a highlighter do you prefer a cream, liquid or powder? For the Bobbi Brown foundation stick, I would recommend using the same shade you have in the foundation.

For the serum, I recommend Ole Henriksen Truth Serum® Vitamin C Collagen Booster. It has antioxidants to help protect your skin from environmental damage. It contains sodium hyaluronate which helps hydrate and lock in the moisture. Nars Albatross is a great all purpose highlighter.

I second the rec for the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Vitamin C Collagen Booster.  I've been using this for years and it totally turned around my complexion!

For contouring, we have similar skin -- I may be a little more fair but prefer products that really show up, so I think what I am using will work for you.

My favorites after trying tons, are MAC Sculpting powders --

Dark (great for med & olive skin, not too orange, not too pink/red): "Shadowy".  I also use "Sculpt" for days I want it to be really subtle, or when I'm very pale in winter.   If you want to start out really subtle with your sculpting, you could try that color first.  They are only like $16 on the MAC website, so I bought both.  (They do NOT come in a palette, just the pan, but you can order the palette to pop them into.)

Light: MAC Emphasize.  I love this - it's pretty LIGHT, but it's semi-sheer and not to SPARKELY.

As a second choice, Kevyn Aucoin's sculpting powders (esp the dark one) are good as well.

Sorry, none of those three are sold by Sephora :smileysad:.  I wish they were.

In terms of palettes and travel-friendly, I made my own with zPallette (which you can google)... turns out not only is it great for travel, but it keeps things way more organized in my vanity area on a daily basis.  Also, I got to recycle all the plastic compacts I had piled around - Origins recycles all brands.

And one more question what can you suggest for me to use to stimulate or increase the growth and thickness of my eyelashes?
