ive heard from time to time people getting things sent for free from Sephora beauty talk and I got one two years ago (nail polish) . 

But im curious how people are selected for this ?

I feel like the gratis you get selected for often have some sort of correlation to the threads you are active in. I was selected once a while back when a line of new DDG products came out and during that time, I was super active posting in skincare threads.

Hmmmmm I do remember I got the nailpolish because of a thread where we all voiced our distaste in the free polish we got at a rouge event ....

The letter for the last one I got a couple months or so ago mentioned that the gift was for participating in the various challenge threads. I did notice that a lot of people who started those threads and who posted in the challenge threads regularly did get chosen that time around.
