So for a long time I used FAB cleansers and Korres and eventually I switched to AmorePacific.  I definitely see a difference with my skin.  Granted I also tried tatcha cleansers and was unimpressed.  So i think with some research it may definitely be worth it for you depending on what you need.

What is your definition of high end? High cost doesn't equal better but I think there is a big difference between cleansers that are $20, $40 or $60, after that I feel like there are more differences in packaging etc that may not be worth it (generally speaking). I personally think the packaging, scent and texture is a big part of the experience so I don't mind spending ~$60. I will be more thorough and not rush cleansing if I enjoy using it. More thorough = better feeling skin, I think.

I guess anything above the 70-80 range... maybe even 60 is high compared to stuff I used in the past... but I'm after the Omorovicza which retails for 135 in Canada for 1.7 oz? A "regular size" jar. I find that to be expensive but I do love it! Had small jar... I am just wondering if I should keep purchasing it. Hoping to purchase during the 20% off.

@veronika23 Check prices in cult beauty look fantastic as well. They are cheaper with current exchange rate too. I ordered from both places before and it arrives just fine. I hv got to pay around 28$ duties for my 275$ purchase at look fantastic but still saved a lot.

LF often hv gwp's and % off as well.cult beauty gave away fs cleansing balm n they do cult beauty bags, next is due in December.

Omorovicza is European brand so it's cheaper in Europe by a lot than here Smiley Happy

Re: All about Luxury skincare! Come in and chat about your skincare, treatments, tools and products

I second the suggestion of Cult beauty! I can see myself buying all the beauty products they carry exclusively from them.

Re: All about Luxury skincare! Come in and chat about your skincare, treatments, tools and products

I tend to buy Omorovicza through cult beauty.  It's way more affordable in comparison to north america prices.  I'm not sure how the exchange fares up in CAN, certainly worth checking.

My honest answer is that I haven't noticed a difference. My absolute favorite oil-based cleanser of all time remains Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser Gelee - it's such a relatively cheap product but works perfectly and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. I'm happy to save money on cleansers and splurge on other skincare products. Smiley Wink @veronika23

@V - I am not expert here but in my limited trials I noticed a bit of difference between the 2 post cleansing. Some of the cleansers I have been using doesn't make my oily combo skin feel too dry post cleansing (even if my skin was too dry to cleanse) but at the same time I had felt much drier with other low end brands.

But I am more of a person to look for price comparison for the same cleanser across retailers. So I check that aspect before I splurge. Sometimes I found brands like Omorovicza being so cheaper from the uk or Europe so I buy those there to save a lot of $$.

Hope this helps.

P S: I use Tata Harper cleansers or Kat burki most of the time.

Cross posting from the deals thread...

I'm having issues uploading pictures today. Odacite has a special gift with the purchase of the new Synergie4 mask. No code is needed. The gift is a small mixing bowl, mini whisk and a brush for application.

Is May Lindstrom's Problem Solver worth purchasing?

I'm trying to find an acne mask for my brother as a Christmas gift but I can't find any mask that works well for him. I've bought him Glamglow Supermud, Tata Harper's Resurfacing Mask and Purifying Mask, Origins clay mask and Boscia clay mask but none of these seem to work for my brother Smiley Sad

What kind of acne does he have and what is he looking for it to do?  It may be that the kind of results he's looking for just aren't realistic from a mask.  I like Glamglow Supermud for a spot treatment for occasional small breakouts but for more serious cystic acne nothing replaced prescription topicals and pills and preventing the suckers from ever popping up in the first place.

@JoannaMC @jadeann @mpas @Mochapj @makeupobesessed Thank you so much for replying!! Now I really want to purchase May Lindstrom's Problem Solver Smiley Very Happy I think I'll go ahead and purchase a sample from The Detox Market before splurging on the full size. I'm hoping this will be my brother's "miracle mask" Smiley Happy

Re: All about Luxury skincare! Come in and chat about your skincare, treatments, tools and products

This works incredibly well for my cystic acne breakouts - I see immediate reduction in redness/inflammation and it gets smaller so quickly. I've tried a lot of the other clay masks available at Sephora and this is the only one that makes a difference with my acne.

I first purchased a sample from The Detox Market (they sent me a baggie that had enough product for 3 uses) and knew from the first application that I would purchase the full size. For the price, I think the full size container contains a very generous amount of product.

Re: All about Luxury skincare! Come in and chat about your skincare, treatments, tools and products

@prti, yes! I purchased it early this year without trying it first and I've been using it 1-2 times per week since. It have congested skin in my t-zone as well as the occasional cystic breakout and this has easily replaced all of the masks that I tried before it. The results, for me, are immediate - decreased size of existing breakouts and smaller pores.  I've also used this as a spot treatment when needed.

Re: All about Luxury skincare! Come in and chat about your skincare, treatments, tools and products

In a word - yes.  I bought this during the last barney's event without trying it beforehand.  I figured it might not be amazing but it will likely be a treat considering how everyone raves about it.  And it is amazing.  My skin is super soft afterwards.  Like mocha, I have been using it weekly and it last a very long time.  I've done glamglow and likely every clay mask sephora has to offer and PM is the winner by miles.
