47 with pitted acne scar and oily skin

I am 47 years old and I have very oily skin with one pitted acne scar.  I also have large pores. I attempt to fill the pit with Loreal Studio Secret before applying Smashbox Photofinish Light.  I am currently using Dior Forever foundation and dusting with an oil control powder.  The filler I attempt to fill the pitted scar with appears to shrink before the end of the work day making the "crater" much more noticeable.  Also, it becomes necessary to begin blotting within 2-3 hours following application of my foundation.  Could you please recommend 1)A product I could use to help make the crater less noticeable 2)Primer for large pores and oily skin 3)Foundation for OPEC 4)Powder to set.....basically I need help from beginning to end!!

You could try Soap & Glory Fill Monty. I also hear good things about Benefit Porefessional. Korres makes a powder foundation that keeps my skin free of oil, and they have a setting powder as well. I really like Boscia's black mask. I feel like it really helps with my skin issues. I have adult acne off and on and blackheads. After one use my skin is so soft and looks beautiful. I've also started using Soap & Glory Fab Pore Peel.

Also for the acne scar issue have you had or considered getting a photo facial? Some salon/spas offer various facials that can drastically reduce the appearance of scars from acne, dark spots etc. It's probably worth checking into if it is a source of daily stress.

Thank you so much Elizbeth and HelloSherri!!  I appreciate y'alls recommendations!!!  I believe I found the youtube video you were referring to Elizbeth any plan on ordering the Ben Nye tatto cover.  During my search, I saw several videos promoting dermaflage and was wondering if anyone has tried it?

Also, I would appreciate any additional input from readers and/or experts for both the crater and foundation suggestions.

I was watching a youtube video a few weeks ago about acne scars/pits and how to disguise them.  The guy in the video used a silicone (clear) primer over the scars, the trick was he layered it, putting on several applications and allowing each layer to dry.  I think any brand would do, whether its smashbox, mac or a sephora brand.  Then he used a very dense, heavy coverage concealer, like the kind one would use to cover a tattoo. He put I think. maybe 2-3 layers of the concealer over the area he had primed (this is only the area of the face with the scars/pits). After that had dried, he used foundation and powder as usual.  The before and after effect was actually quite amazing.  It takes time though.  Hope this helps and goodluck!
