Hey All!!  Hope everyone who's into football is excited about  kick off, in this exciting Super Bowl 50!!     So, I'm just over 40 with normal/dry skin. I've been blessed with intermittent hormonal acne in the past few years, which was kind enough to leave behind some bumps and scars. In the past several months I have  begun obsessing about my laugh lines and the creases  on my forehead.   I've now spent so much $$ on anti aging skin care products it's scary. I'd love help with anything anti aging and/or scar healing, but what I  desperately NEED to find is a really good night cream. I need something hydrating that I can put over my acne cream. I already use SR Luna and l'occitane's Divine Youth oils, and I love them, but I need a cream that I can wear over them once the oils have absorbed.      Any suggestions and/or advice is much appreciated!!

Today I started trialing the Dr.Brandt 3D Filler Mask.  Sephora generously sent this to me to try out.    The product is a white transluscent paste (not really creamy but not chalky either).  It comes with a little brush to apply it.  It is recommended as an overnight leave on mask.     From the Sephora product page: "This leave-on mask restores volume and youthful-looking contours, giving your skin an instantly smoother look. It’s specially formulated with a potent, age-defying combination, including hyaluronic acid , peptides , and an Adipofill'in™ Complex. "   For all skin types, this product targets the middle to lower part of face, smile lines and marionettes to visibly revolumize jowl and cheekbone contours.   Some Claims include - Smoother and more supple skin Less visible lines and wrinkles Plumper skin Product fills in wrinkles and folds.   Possible allergen for me - Shea Butter I already use Dr. Brandt Overnight Resurfacing Retinol Complex as one of my serums in rotation.  It has shea butter in it as well, but that hasn't irritated my skin yet.  So I am not too worried.   My skin condition: I am almost 41.  I have oily/combo skin that is currently dehydrated (skin sometimes feels parched and tight).  But I don't have wrinkles yet, and I think my facial contours are hanging in there just fine (for the moment).   What I expect this product to do: Although I am not addressing wrinkles and facial contours, I am definitely testing all the other claims.  I have highlighted the ingredients and claims that interest me.  Winter dehydrated skin is a great time to see if the hyaluronic acid plumps and makes my skin more "supple". This is supposed to address fine lines as well by smoothing the skin.  I am not sure if I have fine lines, but I will stipulate that I do just due to current age.   Usage: I read up on Sephoras webste and also Dr.Brandt's website to learn how to incorporate this in my regular skincare.    After I cleansed, toned and serum-ed, I applied this in an inverted V from my cheekbones down to my jaw (hugging my nose and the corner of my mouth).  Then I waited about 15 minutes for the product to sink in.  It didn't completely absorb and looked matte and pasty on me still (not sure how it's supposed to look).  I then applied my nightime moisturizer.  It reminded me very much of a matte primer - how they can look matte and leave a white cast.    Lets see how I feel in the morning.  :-)

Hi beautiful people,   I am planning on incorporating retinol into my routine but don't quite know where to begin. I just read up futurederm's retinol page ( https://www.futurederm.com/11-things-you-never-kne w-about-retinol-and-retinoids-until-now/) and gathered that I should probably begin by using it once a week for starters.   Skin type: Normal to dry skin. Late 20's. Main skin concerns: Hyperpigmentation spots/acne spots     Here are my specific questions on the subject, and I'd really appreciate some feedback from you:   - What would be a good retinol product to start with?  Should I start with something that's oil-based like SR Luna that has an ester form of retinol?   - How would I fit it into my routine, esp w.r.t. the exfoliators I use?    - Do I need to make any other changes in my routine, or be aware of certain things if I begin retinol use?   Here's my regime in full: Spoiler (Highlight to read) Night: Double cleanse, Serum (rotate between Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance or Clarins Mission Perfection), Eye cream (currently Shiseido), Oil (OH Youth activating or TH Replenishing Nutrient Complex or Dennis Gross Triple Peptide C oil), Moisturizer (Belif Aqua Cream/Korres Advanced Brightening Facial/any other) Morning: Cleanse (during warmer months), Serum (OH Vit C serum + Caudalie or Clarins serum above), Eye cream, Moisturizer, SPF (Algenist/Elta MD) Exfoliators:    2/3 times a week I use either SR Good Genes or Drunk Elephant Glycolic serum in place of my night serum and follow up with moisturizer. If I feel dry, maybe I'll add in the oil as well. Masks: a charcoal/clay mask once a week followed by a hydrating one e.g. Dr Jart Sleeping Mask Night: Double cleanse, Serum (rotate between Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance or Clarins Mission Perfection), Eye cream (currently Shiseido), Oil (OH Youth activating or TH Replenishing Nutrient Complex or Dennis Gross Triple Peptide C oil), Moisturizer (Belif Aqua Cream/Korres Advanced Brightening Facial/any other)Morning: Cleanse (during warmer months), Serum (OH Vit C serum + Caudalie or Clarins serum above), Eye cream, Moisturizer, SPF (Algenist/Elta MD)Exfoliators:    2/3 times a week I use either SR Good Genes or Drunk Elephant Glycolic serum in place of my night serum and follow up with moisturizer. Hi Beauties,   I just turned 27 and I want to start getting into anti-aging products. What are some good eye creams? I don't have bags, just a little darkness and slight wrinkling. I need something really hydrating because when I use concealer I look 100 years old because it really brings out the wrinkles lol. Please post some suggestions. I was looking at the Dermadoctor eye cream. Is this a good one?

I've been using the Ole Henriksen line for about 5 years and I was very happy with it until recently. Some products, like the invigorating gel and the truth serum, still work for me but the red tea cleanser and the blue eye gel  need to go.  I'm in my mid-30s with a combo skin that gets more dry in the winter and oily in the T zone during summer. Most important concerns for me are fine lines, dark circles and puffiness. What eye creams would you suggest?

Hi Everybody--   I was wondering if anyone had ever used more than one sleeping mask at a time, such as one on top of another.  I have Origins Mega-Bright sleeping mask and Dr. Jart's Premium Firming sleeping mask and would like to use both, especially on my forehead.  However, I don't know if this is begging for an adverse reaction or not.    Has anyone tried this and lived to tell the tale, or should I just alternate nights?  Any suggestions are welcome!    Thank you!

I'm hoping you guys can help me find a new skin care routine that will work for my super sensitive skin since most of my go-tos have been discontinued. I'm in my mid-30s but am usually mistaken for someone in their late teens or early twenties when I'm not dressed for work.  The biggest issue is that my skin is SUPER sensitive (as in trying to use Algenists gentle cleanser and oil at night started out OK but within a couple of hours was red enough and burning badly enough that I not only needed to wash everything off but it had to be treated with cortisone cream.  I don't know if the skin sensitivities are just aging or related to my worsening RA/Fibro & meds, but either way it makes it crazy hard to find products that work.  To give you an idea, here are products I've used in the past and ones that I've tried and that haven't worked.  What I'd really like is a new routine that can keep my skin in great shape and help me with the early signs of aging that I am just beginning to see around my eyes.  Overall my skin leans towards dry (worse in winter & middle of summer because of central heating/AC) with occasional breakouts.  I've read some really good things about Drunk Elephant being exceptional for sensitive skin and so wondered about that, but also about Sunday Riley or Nude or almost anything else anyone could suggest....   Products I currently use: Acure's 100% Argan oil (at this point I use this as my main moisturizer because I haven't found anything else) Korres Milk Cleanser (loved the old formula, find the new just a bit more drying and scented) Origins Modern Friction Bosica's Black mask   Things I've tried in the past and liked: Chanel's Beauty Initiale (face cream & eye cream) Caudalie Lip & Eye Serum (liked the consistency but didn't seem to do much) Various Prescriptives moisturizers (but they don't really have anything anti-aging) Prescriptive's Vibrant C eye cream (which I also liked a lot but I think is more of a camo solution then actually helping long term and since I found myself usually using it at night, didn't seem like a good fit).   So I am really looking for new routine but particularly cleanser, eye cream, day and/or night anti-aging treatment (could be part of an oil or moisturizer too), and moisturizer and any help would be greatly appreciated as well as feedback from fellow super-sensitive skin who've tried Drunk Elephant, Sunday Riley, Nude, etc.

I started noticing vertical lines between my eyebrows specially since I have been more exposed to the sun/environment in the last 2 years, due to walking and biking to work. I make facial expressions especially when the sun is hitting my face. I am 36 years old and I try to take good care of my skin. I have been using Kielh's products for the last 10 years. I love the Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate, which used to help with fine lines, but I think it is time to move on and try new products. Any suggestions?

What do you recommend to reduce the appearance of laugh lines around the mouth?

I've had a pretty terrible reaction to the retinol cream that I started using. It made me have a really bad cold sore break out! I haven't had one in years, but this cream made it come back, and worse than ever! My skin also dried out and started to peel (which I know can be a side effect). My question is, is there anything similar to what retinol does? I'm terrified of giving this cream another try. I thought about still using it, but just not around my mouth area (which kind of sucks, since I'm trying to find a good anti-aging routine). Or just returning it, and forget about retinol altogether. I know this is what made me have a breakout. Any advice or suggestion on a good alternative, or any products/ingredients that work well for anti-aging? I'm approaching my late 20s and really want to focus on prevention, so I don't have a lot of anti-aging problems to worry about in the future.

I'm currently using Peter Thomas Roth Glycolic Acid 10% serum on my face nightly after a gentle, moisturizing wash. I don't get any stinging or irritation, but it does feel a bit drying. Most mornings the skin on my cheeks looks almost crepey. It plumps back up after my morning moisturizer. Not sure what the deal is, if glycolic acids just aren't a good match for my skin and I should abandon the treatment (I've used retinols before with success), or if it's just a little bit too drying and I should layer a moisturizer over the serum. If so, which one?    I'm in my 30s, so I want to stay ahead of the curve on this anti-aging thing. My skin tends to be on the dry side, but isn't otherwise sensitive or prone to breakouts.

I have moderately dry skin and sometimes it effects my under eyes and eye lids.  I'm looking to begin a light skin care as I was told you are supposed to start fighting signs of aging when you turn 20.  Any good recommendations for a hydrating eye cream? I don't want anything harsh because my skin is more on the sensitive side.  Thanks!

Hi! I've recently used Lancome Genefique line and Philosophy Ultimate Miracle Worker line and both broke me out in hives! I'm looking for a total skincare routine that won't break me out in hives.    Here's what I use now: GlamGlow cleanser Kate Exfolicate  Jurlique night moisturizer Tarte Sunscreen moisturizer.   I am really looking to add a serum, new day moisturizer with sunscreen, and eye cream. My Shishedo eye cream just ran out. But not sure it actually helped anything.    I have combo tzone oily skin. I've been feeling dry lately and my I'd like my skin to look brighter/glowey,and make sure to prevent wrinkles. Help!!

Hi there,   I'd like to know what is the best way to prevent getting more wrinkles and saggy skin around the eyes? Is there something out there that is effective in "lifting" the eyelids which are already a bit saggy?    Thank you kindly!

I'm 35 and am trying to decide between the ole cream lift (blue one) and the claudile restorative eye balm. I have a few lines under my eyes that won't go away, but don't usually have problems with dark circles. I just want those lines to go away. What do you all suggest?

I am 63 and still get white heads on my nose and chin.  Right now I am using nothing but Aveeno foaming cleanser.  I have always used Murad Complete Reform and Invisblur Perfecting Shield, if I use them now within a day or so I wake up with red bumps and white heads.  I am at a lose on what product to try now.  Any advice?

Hi, I'm 35 year old, no kids and I have a pretty firm and smooth skin. Right on my forehead though I have recently noticed fine lines. What is your advice on preventing them. What product should I be using?

I've decided to take the plunge and start using a retinol product for anti-aging (about to turn 30 with dry sensitive skin). I was hoping to find a product that does not test on animals and unfortunately the two best reviewed products , Algenist and Peter Thomas Roth, do. I am really having trouble finding one with good reviews and starting to think one just does not exist. I've seen the Dr. Dennis Gross line but every review I read says it is over priced and does little.   I'm not a vegan so that's not a necessity, I just don't really support animal testing for non-essential products like makeup.

I purchased SK-II FTE during the last Rouge event, and I have been using it faithfully for the past 2-3 weeks am and pm.  I've used nearly half of the bottle (small bottle) now, and I'm not sure that I am seeing any results yet.   For those who use FTE, could you please share:  How long did it take to see results?  Also, what did it do for your skin?

Help!  I have very deep vertical lip lines on my upper lip.  I have tried laser treatments and botox.  Botox helps a tiny bit, but nothing is really helping.  I tried retin a but it makes that area peel and look worse.  Can you recommend the best serum or cream to help in this area.  I was looking at Peter Thomas Rogh unwrinkle turbo or Kate Somerville dermal quench liquid lift advanced wrinkle treatment.  I would love your thoughts on  something that would help.  Thank you

From eye-cream to serum to oils? Although I'm 24, I'm worrying about aging already since my skin has become dry, feels tight, and I notice more lines around my mouth when I smile. Also, I don't ever use foundation or extra make-up besides mascara or eyeliner. I don't want to over-do it and actually harm my skin by piling on skincare products. So, I've been curious about whether I should start using an anti-aging skin care routine or just a normal routine for hydration? Also, I'm wondering if the amount of make-up usage is a factor in determining this?    Thank you!

What is the difference between the two different Shiseido lines >> Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Resist Line and Nutriperfect Line?  I am 61 and need some tightening and lifting. I have been reviewing a ton of products and I think I have settled on Shiseido, but I am unsure which line I should get.  Thanks in advance.
