I bought a bottle of the Firm&Lift with Retinol from Algenist during their Friends and Family event, which I think was in November. I just took it out of the box and the pump doesn't work. It's too late to return it, and they don't do exchanges, so I need to break into it. The top doesn't screw off. Pliers aren't much help, either. HELP! Any tricks/techniques that have proven successful in similar situations would be greatly welcome. Thank you. Adding: sorry, posted in the wrong category - no idea how to fix that. Advice on that matter is welcome as well.
I am 51 and looking for one line that can take care of my skincare concerns. I am starting to see fine lines on my forehead, and décolleté is starting to show my age. I have been treating dark spots and unevenness for about 5 years. I would like to continue to do so. It seems that my skin is getting drier. For most of my adult life I have had combination skin.
I am 30 years old and have prominent nasolabial folds and smile lines. They seem to be getting more noticeable. What can I use to prevent sagging or just make the area look firmer/tighter? I would like to try to keep it under 70 dollars if that is possible! Thanks
Hi girls, I am a beauty blogger looking for other beauty bloggers to connect with. I love everything about Sephora, you can tell by my VIB Rouge Status. My favorite brand from Sephora Currently is First Aid Beauty. I live in Massachusetts so I am battling the winter dryness and FAB helps with that! I am wondering what you guys think the best eye cream out on market is currently? I am only 22 and already seeing signs of aging! I NEED TO BEAT THIS STAT! Also, I currently have a giveaway going on at my blog, christinabeex3.com if any beauty lovers want to check that out.
Hello! I'm actually asking on behalf of my parents who are both in their 60s. After a recent trip to Sephora with a friend, I was sharing with my parents that I purchased eye cream and I asked my mom what kind of eye cream she was using. I was a little shocked to hear she had never used eye cream in her life. After a little more questioning, my mom and dad shared they both just use ivory soap to wash their faces and they don't moisturize either. I'd love some suggestions for skincare for folks in their 60s. I was surprised, even my Dad was interested in something for his eye area! Thanks in advance for suggestions!
I am 33, and realize I am past due on having a solid, healthy skincare regimen. My skin is normal to dry, and I am sad to say that I have only been using Olay Regenerist face wipes, and Olay Regenerist moisturizer. I have done extensive research on products I should be using, but am left totally overwhelmed and still clueless. I have the occasional pimple due to hormones and/or stress. Problem areas I would like to address: a few blackheads and enlarged pores, but most importantly, puffiness/small wrinkles under my eyes, and preventative measures for further aging/wrinkles. From what I understand, I need to be using a makeup remover, cleanser, toner, moisturizer with SPF, serum/night creme, exfoliating and masks 1-2x/week. I'm overwhelmed just typing all of that...! My questions: Is there an anti-aging makeup remover/cleanser all-in-one that is great for dry skin, or is it necessary to use two different products? I would like to use an over-the-counter retinoid for anti-aging...is this something I would use morning and night, or only at night? Would I use this in conjunction with an eye creme for puffiness/wrinkles? Or would the retinoid creme be sufficient as an eye creme as well? Is it okay to use on the neck area as well? Once I know what products would be best to get for my skin and problem areas, I'm also super confused as the order of usage of all the products...for example, does the retinoid and/or eye creme go over or under the moisturizer/night creme? I know you get what you pay for, but as I'm just testing the waters right now, I'm hoping to be more conservative in spending if possible! Thanks so much in advance for your help/feedback/advice!
I am looking for some great recommendations on a good serum that can help my forehead wrinkle. I am currently using Philosophy Time In A Bottle as well as Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate. Neither are quite doing the trick.
NOTE: This item was gifted to me by Sephora. Oh my, where to start? I'm 54, so I obviously already use some anti-aging skin products. I currently use WrinkleResist Eye Cream, NutriPerfect Eye Serum, and Bio-Performance Corrective Serum, all by Shiseido, and FAB Ultra Repair Cream. I continued using these products while trying the Needles No More, which I applied twice a day, morning and night, before applying the above products. So, some observations about Needles No More: It is lightweight, non-greasy and absorbs readily, but I didn't find it particularly moisturizing or hydrating. It has a pleasant minty scent (very similar to those puffy little after-dinner mints) and leaves a vaguely cooling sensation. I never felt any tightening, though, and never experienced any irritation or sensitivity, either. Generally I was pleased with the treatment — there were real improvements especially around my eyes. I was pretty impressed until after two weeks of use, I suddenly couldn't get anything out of the bottle anymore ! I thought, "Seriously? It's empty already?" I tried for several days to get it to come out again. Shook it, took the little pump top off. T he bottle is brown, so you can't easily see how much product is remaining, and y ou can't open the bottle because of the way it's molded, so it's not like you can just use something to get the contents out, either (sneaky!). I had the bottle in its box on my counter, so that it was sort of half-in, sitting at an angle. For whatever reason, that seemed to make it work again! But that seriously annoyed me, because at this price point, there shouldn't be any packaging failures. I'm lucky I kept it around for a bit. Can you imagine tossing it because you thought it was empty? Luckily it continued to work after that episode, so the bottle lasted a total of about 7-8 weeks, which is similar to most other treatments I've used. Anyway, my overall impression is that Needles No More works. But no, it is not a miracle cure with results like botox. I think the fine lines around my eyes are definitely less noticeable as are some of my forehead lines. I have a rather deep line between my brows that is still visible. I think perhaps that the really "set in" furrows might be beyond the serum's range. I can say that they feel less deep when I touch them, but they have not disappeared. I purchased a second bottle when Sephora gave out the $25 off a $50+ purchase around the holidays, and I have only recently opened that one, so I don't know if the bottle issue was a fluke or not. I think you'll like the results with the Needles No More, but it's not going to take 20 years off your skin. However, I think it's an effective product with better results than a lot of other serums I've used, and the price is in line with other products. For those who question the validity of this review, I've included before and after pictures of me in all my bare-faced glory. "After" shots are 7 weeks after beginning and were taken in the morning after using NNM and regular routine. Before: After (1): After (2): The Angle:
I'm only 20 and have noticed significant wrinkles around my eyes, mostly from smiling. There are so many products out there. What are your suggestions for wrinkles caused by smiling? I have tried samples of philosophy-time in a bottle for eyes, bobbi brown-hydrating eye cream, & alienist - eye repair. All have only made minor improvements.
My total hearts is near the number of the beast…YIKES Please help me pass it thru without seeing that 'triple digit' number next to my hearts. I know it might not mean anything to others but to me, this number means a lot. Thank you.
I'm 48 years old and feel like my makeup routine probably needs some updating from what I've always done and always used. I want a natural look and to not look all made up. Any suggestions? Where do I even begin?
I have sagging, wrinkled skin on my neck. I have lost weight this year and this was a result. My face doesn't look too bad, but the neck skin is very unsightly. I have heard of using "fillers" to plump up neck skin. They work on my face, but the neck skin is too loose. Please let me know the very most effective neck treatment available without surgery. If there is something that works, even if it is very expensive, would I be able to try a sample before buying? I am not near a Sephora store, so I would need to have it mailed. I am looking forward to your help (desperately!) Thank you ,
I'm needing to step up my game with moisturizer (I use an oil-free SPF in the mornings) or moisturizing at night--with a really good wrinkle cream. I need it around my mouth, on my forehead, in between my brows, and under my eyes. What can I use that will work--but that won't make me break out? I have sensitive skin and live in Colorado where it's very dry, especially in the winter. Thank you so much!
I love the Maracuja Eye Treatment and I've wondered if anyone here has tried the Neck Treatment since it was available on QVC for awhile. My only hesitation is the actual Maracuja oil broke me out as I have sensitive acne prone skin and it really got some mixed reviews on QVC. I see no reviews on youtube either. I like the eye cream because I have an allergy to rentinol and this didn't have any in it. The cream I haven't had any reaction to versus the oil.
What is your all time favorite face serum? I'm using jack black and I'm loving it! Check it out its a men's product filled with peptides! Big 2oz bottle I've had since October a bang for your buck for sure! i have to say I will continue to repurchase this product for as long as they make it. I've seen woman's serums half the size triple the money and have the ingredients of this serum! Sinks right in non greasy I have no lines on my face and I'm turning 40 next week. Check it out ladies.
I admit it; I have never regularly moisturized my neck / décolletage. Seeing as my 26th birthday comes next month, I feel it is high time for me to begin caring for this feature since it is an area that can really show your age if not sufficiently looked after. I can already see creases formed from where my skin folds when I bow my neck downward, and this displeases me. I imagine that it will only go downhill from now as I move through my late 20s and proceed into my 30s. So I want to hear about everyone's routine for moisturizing and caring for the skin in this delicate area. I am unclear as to whether I can just use my regular facial moisturizers, if I should look for something more firming and toning or specifically anti-aging, if I should be doing any other sort of targeted treatments, etc. If you have any tips or recommendations, please weigh in! For a little background, I have a pretty good skin routine going for my face, and my regular moisturizers are Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet, Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil, and Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream for summer days when I require less intensive moisture. Thank you!
