Kinerase Daily Exfoliating Cleanser

I know that Sephora is discontinuing this line, but my local Sephora still has quite a bit of it in stock and it is at a big discount.  Also... for those of you that aren't aware that Kinerase has their own website -- they are currenlty having a 25% sale on all products (through March 20, 2011).  Just google Kinerase and you will find their site.  I don't feel it is appropriate to put a link to their store here in the Sephora Forum. The product line itself is NOT being discontinued... Sephora is just no longer carrying it.  I always get sad when Sephora discontinues a product line.  :smileysad:  I still miss the Cargo line of cosmetics (but I have found another source).

Anyhow... I was looking at Kinerase's Daily Exfoliating Cleanser to add into my skin routine -- maybe 2 or 3 times a week.  I currently use Kinerase's Gental Daily Cleanser, but think I could benefit from a an exfoliating cleanser as well.

Here is my questions... okay 2 of them.

Question #1) Anyone have direct experience with this product and care to share,

Question #2) I have heard that it is beneficial to exfoliate PRIOR to using a chemical peel as long as it is a gental exfoliant.  Is this true?  I don't want to overtax my skin.  I do NOT have sensitive skin, but then again your skin can't too much, ya know?   Currently I am using PTR's Unwrinkle Pads and really like them (thanks tenngal for recommending them). If this one is too harsh I will reorder Philosophy's scrub -- which is super gentle (I just don't care too much for the scent of it).

Thanks in advance for any input!

Hi there, I know this comment is way past over-due as I just saw this post now, haha. I recently picked up the Kinerase daily exfoliating cleanser as well as the daily gentle cleanser and must say it is actually gentle...and my skin loves it. My skin is combo-oily and I use a clarisonic every other day (I don't use the exfoliant with it), and really, this exfoliant is amazing..my skin is brighter and it doesn't bother it at all (no redness, no itching or flaking, no damage to my skin). I would say give it a try, I have had no bad experiences with it :smileyhappy: (I definitely know your annoyance with the discontinuing of products that we like...lol it's very irritating)

Hi, i don't know if i'm much help because personally i think all chemical ingredients are too harsh and unnecessary for achieving healthy skin. In the long run they will ruin and weaken the skin.  The korean skincare industry is 12 years ahead of the us (stated in recent us magazine) and most of these us commonly used chemicals are extinct there. For instance, the very famous japanese brand Shiseido and korean brand Amore pacific; neither of those line have products containing the harsh chemicals. Each step of their skincare is about nourishing the skin. An excellent exfoliator product from amore pacific is Treatment enzyme peel. It's a powder form where you add few drops of water and use it like a face wash. No harsh chemicals, no harsh and scratchy beads/grains and skin is left refreshingly clean. The only chemical type product i use is Clinique's pore serum but hopefully i can find something less man made ingredients. Even for acne (pimples) i'm using boscia's natural willow tree bark treatment instead of the chemical salicylic acid.
