Is Kate Somerville OK for acne prone skin that is just beginning to age?

I'm 37 y.o. with combination skin that occasionally breaks out if I use the wrong product.  I'm looking for an anti-aging product that helps with hydration, discoloration, fine lines, and skin texture.  I also want a product that imparts a dewy glow without making me look like a disco ball.  I've already tried Perricone and Caudalie without success.  I’m considering trying Kate Somerville’s glow kit once it is in stock (Quench, Exfolikate, and Deep Tissue Repair Peptide K8).  Are these products OK to use for my skin?  If not, any recommendations?

Hi, thesuperficial.  I have tried Kate Somerville anti-aging products, but no matter what I try I always end up coming back to the PTR Un-Wrinkle products (I'm going to list below) because they are so effective.

I have oily, acne prone skin and my personal favorite anti-aging products are in Peter Thomas Roth's Un-Wrinkle line.  I would recommend the following products:

Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle is a potent, neuropeptide-packed serum that blasts deep wrinkles and expression lines.  This formula's exclusive, patent-pending blend of 6 powerful, 100% active anti-aging peptides and neuropeptides (highly concentrated at 23%) is combined with vitamins and skin moisturizers to create an unparalleled wrinkle-fighting solution. The serum not only noticeably reduces the appearance of deep wrinkles and expression lines, but actually helps prevent them from forming.  Also, this double-duty treatment helps boost your body's natural collagen production, improving skin elasticity and minimizing collagen loss. The results are renewed resilience, greater softness and smoothness, and an overall younger look and texture.  Research results show that this product visibly reduces the appearance of deep wrinkles and fine lines, from the first application, while helping to keep crows' feet, brow-furrow wrinkling, laugh lines, frown lines and other skin creases at bay.  Users have reported up to a 52% reduction in wrinkle size in just 28 days.  I have gotten great results from this product, which you can find here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P141102&categoryId=B70

Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Day SPF 20 is a fantastic anti-aging moisturizer with sunscreen.  This moisturizer reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles, boosts natural collagen production, nourishes and provides UVA/UVB protection.  It promotes and maintains a soft, smooth, youthful complexion.  This moisturizer delivers a powerful, patented, wrinkle-fighting blend of peptides and neuropeptides and it works great under makeup.  You can find it here:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P245422&categoryId=B70

Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Night which is a nighttime wrinkle-fighting moisturizer works well when applied in conjunction with the Un-Wrinkle (serum).  You simply apply the serum first and then this moisturizer over top.  It is an exclusive patent-pending nighttime wrinkle-fighting moisturizer that does a great job.  This blend of 8 powerful anti-aging peptides and neuropeptides are combined with SYN®-TACKS* (a new cutting-edge dual-peptide), a mega dose of retinol, glycolic acid, vitamins and skin moisturizers.  It's formulated to promote cell turnover, repair daily environmental damage, minimize pores, retain moisture and revitalize your skin while you sleep.  It also reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles by instantly plumping your skin, leaving it soft, smooth and younger looking.  You can find it here:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P196004&categoryId=B70

If the skin under your eyes is very sensitive and the above products irritate your undereye area, then I’d stop applying those products when you get to your orbital bone and apply Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Eye which is an advanced patent-pending deep wrinkle and eye expression line concentrate with 6 wrinkle-relaxing and anti-aging peptides.  It reduces the appearance of deep wrinkles and helps relax and diminish the appearance of expression lines.  It also firms, brightens and moisturizes your delicate eye area, while soft-focus properties help reduce the visible signs of aging.  It helps boost natural collagen production in all skin types, particularly those who have early signs of aging or more mature skin with deeper, more defined wrinkles.  Research results show up to a 52% reduction in wrinkle size in just 28 days.  I absolutely love this eye cream and I think it'll do a great job on repairing your under-eye area.  You can find out more about it here:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P184605&categoryId=B70

Hope this helps!
Have a great day!

Kate Somerville products are fine for acne prone skin.  From what you have described, I think the Glow Kit will work well for you to hydrate, exfoliate and provide anti-aging benefits.  Kate Somerville also has great products to treat acne.  One of my favorite spot treatments is the EradiKate Acne Treatment
