Age Spots?

I have a few spots on my face I got after being outside w/o sunscreen & getting burned... Idk what exactly it is, since they're red, not brown like normal sun damage. What would help it? Something like clinique's dark spot serum or something else?

Thanks for any help!!

xoxo, Charlotte

Sounds like you've got some hyperpigmentation, which is your skin's natural inflammatory response to burns, sun exposure, zits, etc. Depending on the freshness of the burn and your skin type, it can be red and/or brown. Any number of skin lighteners or antioxidant serums can help. If you navigate to "Skincare" on the toolbar on the top of the site, then "Face" on the left, you'll see they've made it easy and listed "Dark Spots & Uneven Skin Tone" as one of the selections on the left. You can shop through the products, any number of them should help you, though I personally like Philosophy's Booster Vitamin C Powder, which is a powder you can add to your own lotion of choice.

Also, adding a chemical exfoliant to your skincare regimen will help speed the healing process. AHA or BHA exfoliants (like glycolic acid or salicylic acid) lotions and gels will help exfoliate the overly pigmented cells on the top layer of your skin. And don't forget sunscreen in the future! The damage may be done, but we don't want to make it worse!

And as frustrating as it may be, taking only a day to get the spots, it'll take at least 6 - 8 weeks for even the best products to be effective. Take it from a fair-skinned girl who seems to get spots from EVERYTHING (acne, sun, etc.), I know!
