Clarisonic
What happens if you drop your Clarisonic in the toilet? This didn't happen to me, but I had a very close call! I'm guessing that you keep the handle, wash it off, and immediately replace the brush head. Has this ever happened to anyone?

In addition to washing it off, I'd disinfect the handle. I wouldn't use something like bleach to do this, even though I scrub my counters with it since bleach might weaken the plastic that the handle is made of. Maybe a good antibacterial kitchen cleanser, used full strength.
I haven't had this happen to me fortunately because my sink isn't near the toilet, but I have had stuff fall out of the cabinet above the toilet and immediately threw it away. Ick!
Great that you didn't have the unfortunate experience.

Oh No cheekygirl!!! I have dropped so many things in the toilet, I can't even begin to tell you! I'm in fear of dropping my Clarisonic anywhere, especially THERE. I always keep my toilet seat down (not easy if you're sharing a bathroom) but somehow I still manage to drop things in from time to time. I've read and seen so many stories about all of the bacteria and ...... stuff that is propelled from the toilet bowl when flushed, and it goes really, really far, doesn't just limit it to a tiny area. ICK!
You were wise to get rid of the brushhead. I think the best option would be to use rubbing alcohol on the Clarisonic, I'm wondering if you can briefly submerge it in an alcohol bath...wondering if that could cause a problem. Heck, if it survived a toilet water bath.....might be okay.
Your best bet would probably be to get in touch with Clarisonic directly, that way you know you will get it clean without doing any damage that might not be apparent now but could show up later on.
Probably the worst thing I ever dropped in the toilet was a gorgeous gold bracelet that was a gift. What makes this so nightmare-ish?? It wasn't my toilet. It was a toilet in a bar!!!! How freakin' disgusting is that!! (pardon my language) We got the bartender to fish it out, he ended up using a coat hanger. He later told me that nobody that he knew of ever dropped anything in the toilet until I did (kinda hard to believe with all of those drunk people) Then there were about 6 people within a few months who did the same thing. Weird, huh?
Let me know what Clarisonic says, if you don't mind. Good luck with this.
