Do any of you mix your tinted moisturizer in w/ your face moisturizer, and if so how do you go about it? Need to simplify things as I got a whole new day-to-day routine I am trying to get used to, and where I am succeeding (& a struggle here & there ), I am slacking in other departments (skin routine, etc.) I let myself get slightly sunburned on the face day before yesterday ( just a slight pink.... but still), b/c I forgot to put on any cc cream or tinted moisturizer. Big Whoops! Thanks
Hello everyone, So I know that this topic has been covered many times before. However I am wanting your help to narrow down the BEST options for an effective eye cream. I've been using the " Bliss Youth As We Know It " eye cream for a while. I can't say that I have found it to be impressive by any means. I'm looking for a cream/gel that has ingredients that are truly going to help make my dark circles less visible. I don't have super dark circles, but they are fairly visible and while I do use corrector & concealer to conceal them when I wear makeup, I do want to treat them as best I can. If you can give me your top picks or give me some ideas on what to look for when shopping that would be great. I believe that if your going to spend a decent amount of money it's going to be on something that has results. I'm not one to be suckered into trying just anything after all :-). Thanks everyone !.
I was wondering if anyone has tried out any of the Glossier items? I am curious a/b the GLOSSIER PRIMING MOISTURIZER? It sounds like a dream, best of both worlds! You get a good moisturizer (that actually moisturizers) & then kinda like a "Blur" + Semi-Tint" to go along w/ it. They sell a tint too. Anywho it has Hyaluronic Acid in it and a butch of other goodies to combat redness, dryness, ruddiness, etc. I don't have a beauty book & can't remember where it is on the skin tip. It's dermatologist tested & hypo ( and all that jazz). I was thinking about trying it, but since I just read about it ( and haven't heard anyone talk about it ), I am skeptical / afraid I suppose. SO, what do you think / know about it? I just bought some of the Belli Anti Blemish (Lactic Acid) face wash from Ulta & some Mario B. Rose Spray & I am trying to check out a diff. Moisturizer (like maybe GLOSSIER) or maybe the E. Lauder EE Cream & was wanting some suggestions. I am gonna keep the new bottle of Clinique Tinted Moisturizer (old but goodie) but I am trying to amp up yet simplify (time wise) my skin care routine. I have a lot going on at the moment. Thanks in Advance
I've been using Fresh's Seaberry Facial Oil for about a year now and have loved it so much. However, it looks like recently that I've become sensitized to it. (I took it out of my rotation of skincare products, and the eczema on my face is clearing up.) I still have 75% of the bottle left, so I really would love this to just be a way for my facial skin to ask for a break. I have an appt with my derm scheduled (but it will be a few weeks). In the meantime, I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this with a product and was it temporary or permanent? If it was temporary, how long of a break did you give your skin before successfully trying it again?
Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone who has the Pedi can chime in with recommendations for their favorite foot cream to pair with it. I didn't have much success with the cream that came in the foot transformation set (I've had my Pedi for almost a year now) I really like the dry file and the acid boost product, but the cream itself doesn't work for me to keep my feet soft. I've tried Bliss' Foot Patrol which was ok, and Caudalie Foot Beauty Cream which I found too greasy. The best I've come across so far is something called Zim's Crack Creme, but my husband complains every time I have to use it, because it has a very intense clove-like smell. Since I put it on before bed, the smell soaks into the sheets and he claims he can still smell it hours later. I tried the search bar, but most convos seem to pertain to the Pedi itself. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks.
I was just wondering if any of you have used the BELLI Anti Blemish Face Wash consistently w/ great benefits from it ( I know they have it at Ulta & the single tube is S.O., and their site) ? I am not pregnant but I am having hormonal changes. I am having some breakouts & ( jaw line mainly but doesn't hurt or really turn red, etc.) & temperamental skin ( & I am going through a detox / Holistic health plan). I used a sample of it UST 1 time & loved the way my skin looked & felt instantly (& I am about out of my normal face wash). I looked into Juice Beauty but this seems like a better choice ( & price) for what I have going on ( hormonal imbalance & detox of body, etc. ). It has a bunch of research & screening behind it & it only has Lactic Acid instead of Glycolic, etc. I was also wondering other than the fact our bodies make this on it's own (Lactic Acid), what are the benefits w/ someone like my skin ( & detox)? Also, what is the difference in these acids when it comes to skin type / what's going on w/ skin? I have dry to norm. skin (more so dry but better), redness in cheeks (gotten better), " can be " sensitive skin, and hormonal changes. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Hi, I am trying to decide between the Tria and the Me Smooth. The most important thing for me is to use it on my face, but I would also like to use whatever I get on my legs. So even if the Me is quicker and easier for legs, if it doesn't work well for the face due to being larger I don't think it would be right for me. Has anyone used the Me for the face? Thanks for your input.
So to get down to it, I have red (cheeks) & uneven/ blotchy skin as some of you may remember from past post. OR there are my 2 horrid pic's of my bare face after washing (it's still there in my pic's, blah). It was a quick wash ( as in face wipe, water, and moisturizer) for someone to see what I was talking a/b... so maybe made it a bit more red/ yuck for reference (no judging, lol) . Or I can do an updated pic now if need be b/c I need help! Anyways, I have: 1. seen my Derma (2,3 times for this) 2. I am seeing a Holistic Dr. now & I am on a very strict Vegan & Gluten Free Diet. To Heal Me Inside & Out (organs, to skin, etc.) 3. I am using good skincare ( I hope) but I need something to help (not hurt) & cover/heal while I am going through this process. Something easy to apply/use b/c I don't wear makeup hardly ever (unless leaving the house for a hot minute), BUT I am just not digging how my skin looks at all... my self esteem is BLAH! - I have been on a No Buy all month ( until now ) b/c it's cost $150 just to get my Detox Kit & other needs. I spent close to that $ at the Organic Foods Store too. - I am using: 1. CleanseMax Advanced Naturals Detox 1 for Organ Cleanse & Tone & Detox 2 for general Cleansing & Detofixation. 2. Amazing Grass Green Superfood 3. Bach Original Flower Essence Rescue Remedy for natural Stress relief & healing (4 Drops 3 x's a day) 4. NORDIC NATURALS: Artic Omega-D 5. Designs for Health: Acetyl L-Caritine 6. And I have a Detox Drink I have to consume 1st thing when I wake that has: (I make it to use for a week) 2 Tablespoons of Organic Lemon Juice, Ginger Root (thumb size), 1 Quart of water, mix and add Organic Cayenne Pepper (Ground) into each drink when poured. 7. I also drink a half gallon or more of water a day. * I am slowly cutting back on my coffee & cig's too. I am in PHASE 1. 8. I also have no meat, & the only bread I have is Ezekiel Bread . Basically everything I eat is organic & fruits & veggies . 9. Working out & stretching, etc. at least 15 min. a day. * I also have to take Epson Salt & Baking Soda soaks 2 x's a week to absorb missing minerals. Also still taking my Biotin too . I was told I didn't have Rosacea. It went from dermatitis to inflammation, etc ( I had a cpl of allergic reactions & basically was poisoned by med's I have/had to take). Sorry for the mini month's life story but I need some advice & suggestions & wanted to let you know I am taking care of my insides as well. It's day 5 of Detox and a week and a day since change in eating, etc. So what would y'all suggest I purchase for this issue? I have got to do something. Thanks in Advance.
So I know this is an odd topic, but I'm super picky about my facial washcloths. They need to be dedicated for face and soft/gentle and not shed. I don't have so many so once I'm out til laundry day, I just use my good ol hands to wash my face. However, I use an oil cleanser at night and would prefer using a washcloth for this. The ones I like most I've bought from target. What do you use for washing your face? Any suggestions on where I can get nice washcloths at a good price?
I went to a Dior counter inside The Bay this weekend, looking for a blush, and the rep made me feel like crap. She kept saying that my skin was so oily and full of blackheads and toxins with this look of disdain on her face, like if I was the most disgusting person in the world. I know I don't have great skin, but I pamper it, I use quality products, and honestly, I'm not embarrassed by the way my skin looks. And it's the second time that I see a Dior salesperson, and it's the second time that it happens. Was that really necessary? I go to Sephora often. I go to Mac, to the drugstore. I get my makeup done, I ask for advice. No one ever made me feel like that. Ever. Sorry, I needed to vent!
I have this brown spot above my lip which makes me look like I have a mustache which I don't. It seems I started to get this brown spots after my second child. I just need something that will remove this brown spot please let me know what product would work?
Hi everyone! I'm getting more and more tempted to buy a Clarisonic system, but it can get a little bit confusing. So I'm asking you, all of Clarisonic lovers, which one should I get?? I'm in my mid-twenties, with dry-combo skin. I don't have a lot of acne, but I get a few pimples here and there. I would also like to use it for my upper arms, where my skin is awflully dry and kinda bumpy (I've always been like this, even as a child). Thank you very much in advance for your answers and please excuse my bad english, I'm french
Do you agree with her views on skincare products? I'm on a hunt for my Summer night serum & moisturizer. I think I'm going to purchase the Perricone Blue Plasma even though it stinks so bad of fish & I hate fish. I've been researching products a lot and one of the sites I was on was Paula's Choice. She is not a fan of the serum... Actually the more I read through her "beautypedia" reviews, it seems like she's not a fan of a lot of products. I also got a feeling she was mainly trying to push her own products and Olay. Examples: - She's against treatment cleansers since it's just "washed down the drain". I have to disagree with this. When I use a treatment cleanser, although they can be drying, I do see improvement in my breakouts. - Witch Hazel is bad. I find witch hazel to be an important ingredient when choosing a toner. She think it's just as bad as alcohol if not worse. Products she gave a "poor" rating to: - Anthony Logistic's Glycolic cleanser got a poor rating because it doesn't contain any glycolic acid. - doctor dennis gross's A/B pads since we can just skip step 2 by simply splashing water on our face to deactivate step 1. - Dior Capture Totale One Essential Serum because it's not a "miracle serum" since it's primarily just "water, slip agents, and alcohol" - ExfoliKate - Just about every Ole Henriksen product I love - Origins Checks & Balances, Charcoal Mask & every other decent product from them - Most Murad products I do agree with a few points she makes, like companies need to stop putting active ingredients in clear vials so the sun doesn't break down the properties of the treatment. Also jar packaging is a big no-no for her. I understand that some creams are too thick to be put in a pump, but what about those airless jars that Bosica & Dermadoctor are using? I hate sticking my fingers in jars & the air does break down the active ingredients over time... Overall though, I don't think I'll be going to her site when I'm researching a new product I want to try.
Hi, I am hoping someone can help me find the right moisturizer with SPF. I have used Simple Light Moisturizer for a while, and I'd like to find something with a higher SPF, preferably something 30+. I have really sensitive skin (my dermatologist thinks I might have rosacea, but she's not sure), and for some reason my skin is very reactive to physical sunscreen. I tolerate chemical sunscreen much better. Mineral and plant oils tend to be a problem too. I also have oily, acne-prone skin so I am looking for something that is not greasy or heavy. Any recommendations for a gal like me? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
What would be the best makeup and skin care products for combination skin (oily, with some dry areas, sensitive, breakouts, blackheads)? Oil free is a must. I'm 22 and have always dealt with breakout prone skin.. I just really want to get a routine that works.
Baltimore has had unseasonably cooler weather, so I've been becoming paler a lot sooner than I normally would this time of year. I'm still wanting to wear my skirts, so I'm wondering what ur HG self tanning products are...? I recently found the tanning mitt that Sephora sells in Walmart. I like the mitt, it helps spread the tanner much better.
So after researching under-eye skin care, I am finding some controversy over whether we really need to purchase moisturizers specifically for the eye area or not. What I am reading states that a good daytime face moisturizer or serum should be sufficient for the under-eye area. The products specifically formulated for under-eye are just twice as expensive for less product. Is this true in your opinion? I have fine-lines under my eyes at age 46 that need moisture in order to resist the 'concealer creasing' that occurs throughout the day. There's got to be a good daily moisturizer that does the trick without having to spend a fortune on these little bottles of eye cream/serum. What do you think?
Has anyone had experience with this? I used to get my eyebrows waxed regularly but haven't gone in a while, since I started using this serum. I hear horror stories of people ripping off chunks of skin when waxing and using specific acne medications including retinols. Is PTR’s weak enough where I don’t have to worry, or should I stick to tweezing? I would just prefer to not permanently scar my face.
What are a few awesome products from Sephora for a complete skin care regimen to help someone with post-acne scars/discoloration or dark spots/oily skin in order to brighten up and even out the skin's tone and texture? I don't get acne anytime during the month EXCEPT when it's "that time" of the month, so that is not my main concern. It's more about the acne I had when I was younger and the discoloration and unevenness it has left on my skin. Just looking for something to brighten, even out, and smooth my skin out! I'm thinking exfoliator, peel, moisturizer, cleanser? Thoughts? Thank you!
Hi everyone! I have acne, acne scars and annoying white bumps on my face. It's awful and I NEED help. My acne is not bad--It covers with makeup and I love to wear makeup so it isn't a huge problem. Of course I try to decrease it but it doesn't drive me so crazy anymore. I mostly have them on my chin. Forehead is clear and cheeks were clear until I started getting these awful bumps. I don't even remember when it started I just remember putting on my makeup and looking in the mirror and being ilke "WTF." Every time I go to sephora or a skin care person they say I need to EXFOLIATE! I do now... but they are still there. I want smooth skin that will look even more flawless with makeup. So I have finally decided to buy a clarisonic. (Do you guys recommend this for my condition????!) I am thinking perhaps the deep pore or acne clarifying brush will be best but want to hear your experiences!! I don't really have oily skin...it's normal. Couple of blackheads on my nose here and there. So please help!!! Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do? Did the clarisonic help???
Hello - My favorite lightweight moisturizer was discontinued (Shiseido The Skincare). I seriously hate moisturizer that is heavy on my face. Especially, because I put tinted moisturizer over it. I also don't understand the need for the moisturizer to have an SPF AND the foundation to have an SPF. That's a lot of Zinc that seems like overkill to me. I tried the white lucent moisturizer. It is lightweight but I am not in love with what it does to my face. Can anyone recommend a fragrance-free moisturizer that is lightweight and contains no SPF protection or very little?
I've probably spent the last half hour searching through BT's data base, as i'm trying to decide what skin care items that I want to invest in, when November's 20% off sale rolls around. I've found bits and pieces but nothing concise. My first question is Sunscreen. What kind of skin-protecting product works well under makeup? I just (Sept. 21st) turned 27. (But I still look much younger) And in turn, I'm taking a good hard look at my life as well as my skin care regime and changing what I do not like about it. I've never really used any type of sunscreen product under my makeup. And even though my foundation is spf 15, I do not feel like that it enough. Secondly, Anti-aging skin care products. I'm thinking of trying Murad's "Essential-C" line. I'm trying to start preventative anti-aging care and to heal my skin from my past of dermatillomania. I figured this would kill to birds with one stone? Also here's where the few life questions come in... (location: Ontario,Canada) I want to upgrade my highschool credits ( i graduated when i was 17 but didn't know what i wanted to be when i grew up and honestly just know actually came to a conclusion - it just took me 10 years to figure it out lol) Has anyone upgraded or got new credits before? What site did you use? I think I have to get chemistry, biology and probably math. I want to go to school to become a Vet Tech. Snowboarding. Any advice for a beginner snowboarder? I have never even gone before. I do not have any equipment. I am starting from scratch, so please be gentle lol. Well that's it! I'm not sure where to post this..
