Help, I have heat rash

Hi,

I recently moved and am suffering from heat rash on my face and shoulders. Can anyone recommend some solutions? Right now, I try to avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest times of the day. Also, I wash my face and allow it to air dry.

It's really giving me a hard time. Please help!

Re: Help, I have heat rash

I agree with the cortisone cream, plus, what helps me greatly when this happens is chaffing powder/gel you get at Wal-mart or any drug store. It puts a protective invisible coat over it so it doesn't get irritated as easily. Here's what I use, by Monistat. I use it especially on my neck and shoulders when I get heat rash.

I also use it on my face when needed. Use a very small amount on your face, but as much as u need elsewhere (after u put cortisone cream on ). Makeup goes on great if u use only a very small amount of the chaffing gel on your face. Works sorta like a primer.

Hi @missalysia , I'm sorry you are uncomfortable!

Some solutions I found on google are:

  • Apply cool packs on the affected area (no longer than 20 minutes per hour)
  • mild cortisone creams or benedryl
  • Lanolin (like Eucerin healing lotion)
  • Creams with aloe or menthol

I wonder if that green sunburn relief gel would work?
