Q. Anyone have experience/advice with vegan acne?
I've been cutting out meat for a while, and recently went full vegan and now my skin is freaking out. I've never really had that much acne to begin with, just usually around my period. But now my face is covered. Does anyone have experience with this? I'm trying to figure out if this something I need to ride out or change my whole skincare regimen...   any advice is greatly appreciated!

Q. Makeup for Accutane users?
Hi everyone! I will be starting Accutane treatment this fall for acne in my T-zone, and I will need a new daily makeup routine to deal with dry, flaky skin. I'm very, very self conscious without makeup, so going fresh-faced probably won't be an option. I have very sensitive, very pale skin, and I'm worried that my usual makeup will look weird and fake if my skin is flaking. It would be amazing if y'all could help me choose some products for daily use! Thanks! This is what makeup I wear on a daily basis: -primer -foundation -concealer -powder -blush -highlighter -bronzer -nude eyeshadow -eyeliner (pencil) -mascara -lip gloss So if y'all could help me find moisturizing products that won't look conspicuous with dry skin, that would be amazing! Oh, and one last thing: my Sephora+Pantone Color ID is 1R02! Thanks so much!

Q. Oily, acne prone skin since quitting birth control. Skin regimen suggestions?
Hello! I have always had very oily skin (I can soak up 2 oil sheets and usually go for a 3rd by mid-day). I was on birth control for 10 years and recently went off of the pill. During the time I was on the pill I always used the Clinique for combination skin regimen with cleanser, toner, and moisturizer twice a day because I had occasional acne.   Since going off of the pill my acne has increased to the point where makeup isn't doing the job. It's definitely worse when I'm on my period, but generally I don't have a day where I don't have any acne. Right now I have cystic acne.   I tried the Murad acne solutions for 3 months and didn't see a difference. I recently quit that and started using Aveda, so right now my morning and evening regimen is just the Aveda foaming cleanser and their acne pads, along with the Clinique Moisture Surge, but no difference. I also use Origins Super Spot Remover.   Could someone recommend some better products that may help to clear my acne for good and to keep my oily skin at bay?

Q. Kate Somerville Product Question
I've been maintaining my complexion with ProActiv which has done wonders for my skin.  Recently though, I will get flare ups and my face will still break out with stubborn acne that I can't get rid of for days or weeks using ProActiv and other spot treatments.  I was wondering which Kate Somerville product would be best for acne prone/oily skin: The Detox daily cleanser or the Eradikate mark foam-activated treatment?

Q. Color corrector for pale skin and dark acne scars??
I've had acne for the past 6 years, and I just can't get rid of it. I have SUPER pale skin, and I've been told that green corrector only works for tan-ish skin. I've also been told that yellow is better for pale skin and acne scars. My acne is ALL over my face, mostly on my chin, and left cheek. I really need to know what color corrector to use!! Q. What is a good product in general for break outs?
I use to have great skin but maybe a year ago I developed a problem with cystic acne and I think it was BC related but I've been long off of that and my face does not break out as bad but I still do get breakouts more than I use to and I have some acne scars. I have combination skin and it is more normal than dry but I do get dry spots occasionally. I'm very on top of my face care so I don't know if my skin has gotten use to my cleanser I use now maybe? I was hoping to see if anyone would recommend a great cleanser or even a lotion? I can't honestly call my skin bad BUT when I break out I do break out. I've looked at the Kate Somerville Eradicate Acne spot treatment with the sulfur in the bottle but read it can dry out your skin but would that possibly be something good to try? Anything to get my skin nice again and I do use a pore minimizer and I do have a Glamglow mask. Both work but I'm hoping for something a little more.

Q. Why does all makeup make me break out?
Hi all, I'm 19. It seems if I go for a week without using makeup, my skin looks nice and smooth. But after even one day wearing it, I break out, and I'm talking painful bumps not small whiteheads. This happens with any and all makeup. I use Hourglass' Mineral Veil Primer and Urban Decay Surreal Skin Mineral Powder, in order to try to minimize the acne, because if I use anything with chemicals like MUFE, Dior, Lancome, or Mac, it is worse. I do use the Proactiv System, and exfoliate a couple times a week with a Philosophy wash. Like I said, they work so long as I don't use makeup :-( But simply abstaining from it is not an option for me. Has anyone had the same problem or has any recommendations for makeup or a skincare line? Much appreciated, thank you.

Q. Itchy rash from Kate Somerville Blemish Banisher kit? Anyone else have a bad reaction?
Ok, this is going to be long....hopefully someone can give me some advice. I found the Blemish Banisher kit on and picked it up in the store. My acne breakouts have been crazy lately and all the great reviews gave me so much hope that maybe this could be the thing to finally turn my skin around. The first night I used the kit, it immediately made my skin feel better. The next morning, the EradiKate had significantly reduced the size and redness of my cystic pimples. Fast forward a about four more days, and my skin is SO ITCHY and dry! I also first noticed a patch of little itchy bumps, like a rash, on my left cheek. Today I noticed it on the other side two in two different places. Tonight the itching on my face is bothering me so much I just can't use the kit whatsoever, even though I really wish I could apply the EradiKate again because it has been helping my pimples decrease in size a lot which is nice. Downside though is I am breaking out more after starting to use this, but not sure if it was caused by the kit or it was just going to happen anyways.   I do find the Detox Cleanser to be a little drying (once I rinse it off, my face feels more tight), and the Oil Free Moisturizer stings a little when I apply it. I wouldn't consider my skin to be sensitive to products whatsoever. Even though I have acne prone skin, nothing has ever given me a rash or adverse reaction. I've gotten dry skin from overwashing or using harsh products with 10% benzoyl peroxide, etc....but never this bad and usually it was during the winter and I just didn't moisturize enough. I've been using this kit as directed, and I think the EradiKate is the reason behind the dry itchy skin but the rashes I honestly have no idea how those came about because i don't apply the EradiKate anywhere near over on the sides of my cheeks (I do not have acne there)...   Has anyone else had a not so great experience with it? Should I only not be using EradiKate every night? Also, the EradiKate is supposed to dry up the pimples...but how do I remove all that dry skin afterwards (like going out the next day and not having flakes everywhere?)...simply moisturizing doesn't help. I feel like exfoliating would be the only thing to help but that would further irritate my skin. Not to mention, I'm breaking out even more..   ANY advice would be appreciated. Maybe I should just try Philosophy's Clear Days Ahead kit...I don't know.

Q. Products that truly work to fade post-acne marks?
My skin is in a rough state after dealing with acne for the past 9 years of my life. I have been on a topical medication for 8 years (benzoyl peroxide 10%, clindamycin phosphate gel) that I apply every night. It keeps my acne under control however I still have acne and am never 100% pimple-free. Because I have had acne for so long and have unfortunately picked nearly every pimple I've had, I have red marks all over my face that make my skin appear 10x worse than it is. I'm considering laser at this point, but would love to hear of any tried and true products that people have used. I'm currently using a gentle exfoliating toner by Pixi, Ole's Truth Serum in the AM (although I've heard vitamin C only fades brown spots/hyperpigmentation and not post-acne marks), First Aid Beauty's Oil-Free Moisturizer, Ole's Aloe Cleanser at night with my Clarisonic, followed by Murad's post-acne lightening serum, then my acne medication and Josie Maran's Light Argan Oil. I have only been using the acne lightening serum for about a week so I am hoping that will start to work eventually.   What products have you tried that have successfully faded your post-acne marks?

Q. Troubled Skin - Please Help!
So I just turned seventeen and up until a few months ago I had nearly perfect skin, besides the occasional breakout, but for the last few months my skin has gone literally crazy. I'm probably being a little dramatic but I'm not used to acne and I want to get rid of it! I get hormonal acne every time of the month (which I don't really mind it's usually one or two spots on my chin). But for the first time ever I've broken out on my forehead and cheeks! I have normal-combination skin. 90% of the time it's normal, oily in the summer, dry in the winter. It's not very sensitive though.   I can't go on the pill due to personal reasons and I feel like I've tried everything but nothings worked! I'm eating healthier, working out, and trying not to stress so much (I'm really bad at that). I'm going to Sephora this weekend with a friend and I really want to pick up something for my skin. Any suggestions?    p.s. my breakouts are mild, and usually form white heads overtime but they take ages to go away.

Q. Effective ways to treat body acne?
As embarrassing as this is to admit, I have really bad body acne. It's not so bad on my face, but it's definitely a problem on my back, my shoulders, my chest, and even my neck. It's getting to the point where it's brought my confidence down so much that I try to avoid anything  that shows my back at all - swimsuits, tanktops, strapless dresses.  I'm already on birth control (I know that's a touchy thing for some people for it's honestly for my acne), I use the Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash, I try not to wear things that are too tight or potentially bad for my skin, and I even put my hair up in the shower when I have conditioner in it.  Last year, a dermatologist put me on doxycycline - which if you've tried it, you know what a living hell it is. It made my skin so sensitive to the sun that my knuckles burnt when I was outside for fifteen minutes. Also, you can't have dairy like two hours before or after taking it, and you have to wait about thirty minutes after taking it to lay down. It's needless to say that it was too high maintenance, so I stopped taking it. I'm really not comfortable taking Accutane because of all the side effects and whatnot, but I really need to solve this problem. I don't work out at all, and I don't always eat so healthy (I don't have any weight issues as a result of this, thank god, but I honestly have trouble running two blocks or walking up stairs), but I know that's probably factoring into my skin. I'm sixteen years old and I really need to get rid of this. I know what a schpeel this has been, but if anyone has any advice for this or miracle products (not including proactiv and accutane) it's   greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Q. Product similar or better than Proactiv?
Spoiler (Highlight to read) Spoiler (Highlight to read) Spoiler (Highlight to read)     HI,  I have been using Proactiv for about a year now, but realized how ridiculously priced it is. I was paying over $100 for a "three month" supply. Even though the 1 month supply was the just a tad smaller! Anyways, It didn't work amazingly that i thought it was worth it. So I am looking for an alternative and i am willing to pay a pretty penny for something that works.    I have Oily, sensitive skin that i usually break out easily.  Proactiv, and the Target brand of Apricot scrubs have been the only things in the past that have worked for me. Q. Reoccurring Pimple!!!!!
The only big acne issue I have ever had with my face is the pimple that occurs over and over again in the middle of my forehead, slightly above my eyebrows. Sometimes a cluster of littler pimples will accompany it, sometimes it is painful and swollen under the skin, and sometimes it is a normal, single whitehead. I have had this issue since the beginning of high school, and am now a sophomore in college. At some points in time it will disappear, but at those times I must keep applying acne spot cream to the area or it will reappear. However, currently, it has not gone away fully since February when I went down south to Georgia. It will shrink and become very small at best. Right now it is small with no head and sparse, little pimples beneath it. It is so annoying and makes me very self conscious because it is so noticeable!!! My skin is very dry and this area will start to peel and look cakey under makeup. Also, I have small texture bumps on the bottom of my cheeks near my jaw line which do not go away either, but they are not pimples. If anyone could help with this I would be so grateful.
