I just received new order of Clair Light 01 concealer. I did not know the # for this concealer had changed although the name for the color stayed the same. Wondering if the 01 is as grey as it appears on outside of the tube. I hate to open it if the color is different than it was the last time I purchased Clair Light 02.
Just started using Kate Somerville products about a week ago... used the Eradikate treatment which I dip q-tips into, and for the past few days I have been using the Eradikate line cleanser and have used the foaming face mask twice. Here's where it gets complicated: I have combination sensitive skin with cystic acne. I only get a few at a time usually, or just one, but they are always big and horrible. A couple weeks ago my cystic acne turned into impetigo, a staph infection on my face. This has been healing for awhile now and I waited to start Eradikate until it was all closed up. Eradikate has not been clearing up my cysts at all. I really, really wanted it to work because of all of the raving reviews, but the size does not shrink At my last derm appointment where I got 3 cortisone shots for a couple of cysts, he asked if I would try accutane, but I said no. I have physical health issues and do not want to complicate things with accutane. Here's the other thing.. I was an idiot and have not been moisturizing since starting Kate Somerville's products. I was leaving the pink sulfur treatment on overnight and knew that my skin could possibly dry out, but figured that just a few days without moisturizing would be ok. Now my skin is dry, scaly, bumpy, and looks horrible . Tonight I used the glam glow hydrating treatment mask (only for 5 minutes because it burned my skin), then followed up with using Kate Somerville's daily moisturizer for the first time. TLDR: I am wondering if there is something better for me to use for my sensitive and cystic acne-prone skin than Kate Somerville's line. I thought that it sounded great from all of its reviews but I'm seeing now that I may have been wrong. Tomorrow I plan to go to lush and pick up their full of grace serum to try to restore some moisture. Does anyone have good skin care recommendations for sensitive combination skin? I would consider exchanging my Kate Somerville products if something is more fitting. Thank you so much.
Hi! I have been using the Dr. Gross daily pads. I was not noticing that much of a difference until a night when I forgot to do the second step. Now I only use the first step and I love it. I am looking for a similar product so I don't waste half of my purchase. I am mainly using it for acne scars. Thanks!!
We're blabbing about everything else these days, I figured I'd check in and see what people are watching when it comes to TV shows and movies! It would be foolish to think that this thread could remain spoiler free, so let's be courteous to one another and be sure to spoiler your spoilers. If you don't know how, it's that super adorable little yellow button on the toolbar, located to the right of the bold/italic/underline/strikeout buttons. DONT FORGET: If you happen to be the most recent post, your first sentence or two of your post will show up EVEN IF ITS IN A SPOILER. So please take care if you're going to go dropping spoiler bombs. Anywho... I just saw the movie PHOENIX last night and it was absolutely spectacular. Like Academy Award spectacular. If you're fortunate enough have showings in your area, I cannot urge you enough to go see it. So whatcha'll watchin' these days? What are you anxiously waiting for to start back up?
I have an issue with closed comedones. It does not look good when I apply makeup and I have been using several things to try to get rid of them. I use the Belif Problem Solutions Cleansing Foam and the Moisture Bomb cream. I also use Paula's Choice Resist BHA and their Skin Recovery Antioxidant serum that has Retinol in it and COSRX AHA. I don't know if there is any product that isn't harsh since my skin is sensitive that you can recommend to get rid of these closed comedones.
I'm looking to freshen up my facial routine. I have always had sensitive skin and in my early 20's had a lot of difficulty finding products that wouldn't irritate my skin. I am 29 with combination skin I guess, overall my complexion is decent but not perfect. I get blackheads/my pores are obvious through the t-zone, I get white heads and small pimples a few times a month, my skin tone is somewhat uneven and I am prone to redness. I am also prone to dehydration in the winter. I have been using a Kiehl's regiment for the last three or four years, it works but it's not improving my skin anymore. I recently introduced a Ren mask, Glamglow Supermud mask, and Tarte Marcuja Oil into my routine. I love them. I want to change my cleanser/toner/daily moisturizer. I picked up samples of the Boscia black thermal cleanser, their green toner, and the charcoal moisturizer. I'm not really happy with the results. I don't see improvement, and actually I feel my pores are more obvious and imperfections worse than with the Keihl's products. Can you help me up date my daily routine?
I have combination skin. I still break out in acne around my chin, especially around my period. I also am very very fair, so will have discoloration from acne for months after. So I have oily patches, but then will get dry patches too. I am a HUGE Sunday Riley fan (Good Genes, Luna). I was wondering if anyone with a similar skin type recommended UFO or Tidal Cream as part of their routine (or both!) Thank you!
I've been maintaining my complexion with ProActiv which has done wonders for my skin. Recently though, I will get flare ups and my face will still break out with stubborn acne that I can't get rid of for days or weeks using ProActiv and other spot treatments. I was wondering which Kate Somerville product would be best for acne prone/oily skin: The Detox daily cleanser or the Eradikate mark foam-activated treatment?
What should I use for adult acne? I am in my upper 20's and have tried everything, Pro Active, No Zit Sherlock, Derma Doctor and even over the counter brands at target. It's all below my nose, so I'm told it's hormonal. My skins dries easily, but I am just looking for something to clear up my acne!!! Help!
Can anyone suggest a face serum that's good for acne and anti aging? I tried the Clinique serum but it didn't do anything. Hopefully on the cheaper side but I'll try anything. My skin runs on the oily side.
I'm 27, light skin complexion, have fairly sensitive skin and is majority of the time oily. I'm prone to regular acne blemishes, ranging from regular papules and pustules. Moderate Nodules at times, the occasional cysts, I have whiteheads on my chin majority of the time and at times 1 or 2 blackheads along with large pores on my nose. I would consider my acne mild or moderate and often get papules on my neck and jaw line as well, on top of everywhere else on my face. Another concern of mine is my uneven skin tone and texture do to previous acne, leaving me with red spots, as well as acne scars on my cheeks. My face is majority of the time "dull" do all my skin problems. I'm very active, I workout on a daily bases adding to my skin resolution frustrations. I would love to begin adding anti-aging product/products to my skin regimen as well. I'm looking for ANY product/products that would help clear and prevent further breakouts. Along with helping my uneven skin tone/texture, acne scar problems and anti-aging concerns. I would like to wake up with clear, even and bright skin for once! Please help me with product selection, how to, how often and when (AM/PM) to use each product for a new skin regimen. I do own a clarisonic MIA facial brush, so any tips as far as when and how often to use that as well is appreciated. Last but not least, any advice on what type of makeup I should be using for my skin type and any product/products suggestions would be great. I want to look and feel as beautiful as I do on the inside..thank you for your help!
I have very fine thin hair. It hasn't ever grown very well. I need advice on how to grow it out! I'm currently using alterna products and it has helped a little but not enough for me to repurchase the products. I need advice asap!
Hey everyone! I am a sufferer of milia on my cheeks and sometimes chin. I do use my prescribed Tretinoin cream. However... if you ever used it you know it can cause dryness and peeling. i would like to find something that will still help me prevent the milia but not totally dry me out. I'm also looking for a good foundation that isn't going to clog me up. I currently use the Bate Minerals Hydration Gel Foundation. It's great, but I'm wanting a bit more coverage.
Good morning! I just purchased an Hourglass Blush. Typically I use Nars and apply it with my fingers, but the case on the Hourglass is too small. What type of brush do you recommend? Thanks in advance for your advice! Michelle
