Little background info. I am in my early 30's, combination skin (more on the dry side) having trouble with breakouts around my chin and nose. Currently I am using Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam, Clinique Toner #3 and Cliniques Dramatically Different Lotion + I've tried several different products and nothing seems to be helping clear me up. I am becoming a little frustrated spending $$ and returning and trying different products. I've been told that the breakouts are hormonal however they don't just happen at that awful time of then month, it is consistent so not so sure about that. Just wondering if there are any others in a similar situation and what has worked for them. Seriously considering going back to Proactiv but hesitant.
I used to have really good skin. I would only get like two pimples. Then my girlfriend broke up with me, and everything started falling apart. I've been extremely stressed. I got over ten pimples in one day. I've never felt so bad about my appearance. Foundation recommendations would be nice as well. I recently bought a really great foundation, but it is sheer and that was what I needed before but now I need something that will cover up all my pimples. Nothing too expensive. My health has been keeping me from working regularly so now I have to be much more careful with spending my money. Thanks in advance,
I know there's loads of posts out there but I kind of wanted one a bit more tailored to my skin and personal issues! My skin is always kind of dry in the winter, definitely not oily in the summer though, so it's normal I guess! I recently started a topical prescription (Benzaclin) but it makes my skin super dry! It doesn't really need to be oil free (I also find they don't work as well), just something that isn't too thick (I didn't like the FAB repair cream)! Thanks
Anyone have any experience with the Tony Moly snail gel products? I have been looking at a moisturizer and see they also(saw it at Ulta the other day) have snail gel face masks as well and I am very curious if they really work like I've been reading, or if it's just all hype. Putting snail gel on my skin, face or otherwise, kinda creeps me out but if it really works then I think I'd be willing to give it a shot...
Hi! So the first oil I tried was back in November, the Drunk Elephant Marula Oil, for my dry skin as I was purchasing a few other items from their line. However, it broke me out in little bumps on my forehead that are only now going away (I decided to stop using it at the beginning of January)! The next one I tried, and am still using, is the Herbivore Lapis facial oil but i'm breaking out in weird places (I started this mid-January). My question to you guys is: How long should I trial a facial oil before ditching it? Is there an adjustment period where my skin will go crazy (especially since the Lapis is for balancing oil)? Instead of trying it for longer or switching to a new oil I figured I would ask you knowledgeable people! Thanks in advance
I suffer from acne and have been wanting to invest in a good quality mask that'll do a lot more for my skin than a cheap drugstore one would. I just want to know how this mask has worked for any of you who have tried it... does it actually help with clearing acne? How often do you guys use it? How long do you keep it on? If anyone could basically tell me about their experience with this mask I'd really appreciate it
Hello! Me again I'm still working on getting the best skin care routine for my skin and keep it clear, so far no such luck. I've learned about low pH cleansers being better for your skin, acne prone specifically, so I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations? I was looking into the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip but apparently Silicone is bad for acne prone? If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, even for other products in my routine, that would be stellar!
My skin is in a rough state after dealing with acne for the past 9 years of my life. I have been on a topical medication for 8 years (benzoyl peroxide 10%, clindamycin phosphate gel) that I apply every night. It keeps my acne under control however I still have acne and am never 100% pimple-free. Because I have had acne for so long and have unfortunately picked nearly every pimple I've had, I have red marks all over my face that make my skin appear 10x worse than it is. I'm considering laser at this point, but would love to hear of any tried and true products that people have used. I'm currently using a gentle exfoliating toner by Pixi, Ole's Truth Serum in the AM (although I've heard vitamin C only fades brown spots/hyperpigmentation and not post-acne marks), First Aid Beauty's Oil-Free Moisturizer, Ole's Aloe Cleanser at night with my Clarisonic, followed by Murad's post-acne lightening serum, then my acne medication and Josie Maran's Light Argan Oil. I have only been using the acne lightening serum for about a week so I am hoping that will start to work eventually. What products have you tried that have successfully faded your post-acne marks?
So I have been using my Retin-A because my skin was breaking out, and I was getting large cyst acne. So my acne has cleared up, mostly but now I have the dry skin, peeling, redness and some dark spots left over. What is a good moisturizer that will help with the dry skin and not cause any more acne. Also what is a good dark spot corrector or treatment to try and get my skin looking even again!! I am currently using Clinique dark spot corrector and clinique moisture surge. I feel like both are not working for me though. Thank you
hey all, so lately i have been getting really bad breakouts i have tried proactiv but it just irritated my skin. I have really dry skin but i have a oily t zone. I also have several acne scars that i would like to try to minimize or possibly clear up completely! right now i am using cetaphil because its quick and easy but i am ready to try anything at this point! any recommendations would be great!
I have acne on my forehead from using the wrong toner for my skin. I was using a toner that has alcohol in it. I went to Sephora and the lady recommended that I change the products I am using because my skin is very sensitive. She recommend I use Kate Somerville Gentle Cleanser, First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads, and a moisturizer. I also purchased a Foreo Cleansing Brush. I have been doing this routine for a week. I like these products, but have not seen any improvement with my acne. She said the radiance pads should help clear it up. How long should I wait before I see results? Thanks!
Best spot treatment for normal-dry skin? I am 19 years old, my skin has always been oily but recently switched to more normal-dry so I'm wondering what is a good acne spot treatment that won't dry my skin out?
Hey everyone let me just make a long story short, so I have tried anything and everything under the sun when it comes to skincare but nothing has seemed to work. Been to doctors, tried natural products such as LUSH and didn't do anything. Its been far too long since I can remember not having acne skin. When I went to Sephora last they told me I should get Ain't Misbehavin' cleanser so any thoughts? GIVE ME A SKINCARE REGIMEN Any help will be appreciated. I have acne skin, oily, light-medium skin, and a little bit sensitive.
I am looking for a moisturizer with SPF that will not make my face look shiny and greasy after application. I have combo skin that leans towards more dry. I don't necessarily need anything that is oil control which tend to be the more matte looking moisturizers. I have tried Murad's matifying moisturizer but it makes my face look too dull. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Hello! I've heard raving reviews about the Clinique starter kit but seeing that the main ingredients are Salicylic acid i'm skeptical about whether it helps inflammatory acne (red bumps). I have normal, acne prone skin but since it is finally winter my skin is incredibly dry! Opinions or personal experience? Thanks!
Surprisingly, it seems my breakouts are more concentrated on the outer parts and sides of my face which are more dry. This makes me think my skin is out of balance. Has anyone had success with using cleansing oils/beauty oils for their acne?
I just purchased Eradikate Acne Treatment online and it just came to my door today. I saw online where it said to not shake and allow the pink to come to the top of the bottle. Obviously during shipping the box was flipped around and I think the product mixed a bit. I have it setting upright at this time hoping it settles back to the bottom. Has anyone ever had this happen before? Did it still work effectively?
