What is the absolute best facial wash, I need it to clean DEEP and REALLY GOOD!!!! I have a couple of pimples and blackheads on the side of my nose. (not pretty) I would like a BUNCH of beauty tips for hair, makeup, face, body etc.
Hello! I'm looking for a new acne cleanser that won't be too harsh and will be more hydrating than traditional acne cleansers. I have tried ones by Murad and find them to be too harsh for my sensitive skin. I have combination skin, but my skin seems to be lacking moisture more lately so I think I need to change my skin care routine. As of right now I'm using: Morning - *Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser ( I really liked this, especially during the summer but it seems to make my skin tight feeling after using it) *Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum *Josie Maran Argan Infinity Cream Intensive Creamy Oil (As a substitute eye cream) *Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer Nightime - *Lush Ultrabland *Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleasner *Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum *Josie Maran Argan Infinity Cream Intensive Creamy Oil *Korres Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial I'm considering switching to Ren but other opinions would be gladly appreciated Thank you so much! http://www.sephora.com/clearcalm-3-clarifying-clay -cleanser-P265700?skuId=1587724
Hello. I am 21 years old and I have very bad scarring on my face from acne since puberty. I have been able to finally control my acne. I was wondering, which beauty treatments or lasers I should buy from the Sephora website to help reduce my scarring? Maybe something to use at home when I do not have time to go to a medi spa/doctor
Hey ladies, About 2 months ago I had the worst breakout ever from my Givenchy Foundation. So many little pimples and those little suckers took forever to get rid of. I was on the brink of tears! I eventually gave up and stopped using stuff and they magically went away after 2 terrible weeks. I was wondering if any of you ladies had a terrible breakout, what product broke you out, & what made them go away. xoxo, Kelly
Hi there fellow BTers :-) I was recently contacted by one of the mods in regards to trying out some Clinique products in anticipation of the release of their new Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel. I actually hadn't tried much Clinique skincare before, so I was pretty excited about the opportunity. I was able to try out the Acne Solutions Cleaning Foam, Clinical Clearing Gel, and Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. I have to say that I'm pretty happy with all three products. I think I was most wow-ed by the Moisturizing Gel. Anyone else out there who has oily skin probably knows the pain of trying to find a good moisturizer that doesn't make you feel like a greaseball after it's sat on your face for a few hours. I've noticed when using this (especially in conjunction with the Clearing Gel) that my skin stays pretty matte well past lunch time. Has anyone else tried these products? I've only been using them for just over a week, so I can't speak to the long-term effects yet on my acne, but I will say that my skin generally feels less oily and congested. I'd be curious to see if anyone else out there has had similar results/feelings.
...and feeling kinda guilty about it, so please leave your encouraging comments below! I've posted randomly over the last few months about my skin going crazy after going off BC pills after 11+ years. I think I finally have my breakouts under control on my face, but my back and chest and shoulders are awful. I played around with the idea of upgrading my Mia2 to a Plus in order to get the Body Brush feature, but decided to try other products and routines before dropping $$$. Well, today I was getting a Brazilian and mentioned to my Esthetician that my body breakouts were out of control. She zapped my back/shoulders/chest with the high frequency machine, and a few minutes and $220 later, I walked out with a Clarisonic Pro. So, the Pro has 4 speeds, plus the Body Mode. And it comes with a 3 year warranty and the extender handle. And it's Fuschia. But I'm feeling guilty about dropping a couple hundred bucks today. Can someone please assure me I needed this?! LOL
Alright ladies, enable my next purchase. I've been using Effaclar Duo to treat my blackheads/sebaceous filaments and the occasional pimple, but it wasn't the perfect treatment and my tube expired. So, what should I get? I know Kate Somerville Eradikate is highly recommended for spot treatment, but I would prefer to get something that multitasks for both of my acne skincare concerns. I've tried the Murad Pore Refining Serum, but I wasn't crazy about it.
I moved to CO in August, and immediately my skin started breaking out and hasn't cleared up. It is often cystic, clumpy, have whiteheads, and I have bad scarring. I bought the Clarisonic in December and have been using the cashmere brush twice a day but my skin is still bad. I bought philosophy's clear days ahead kit and it didn't really help. I am debating buying proactiv or Kate Somerville products, and the therapeutic sulfur masque acne treatment masque. Please HELP! I'm tired of having this skin. What products have worked for you (face washes, toners, moisturizer, etc.) ?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what would be best to get rid of the marks and dark scars. I recently just started having this problem and I believe it is due to stress. A lot has gone on in my life over the past two years and its starting to affect my confidence. I want to be able to go out without having to cover this.
I received the wrong sample at my local sephora and I didn't notice til I got home. Turns out, it's the best mistake ever!! I am IN LOVE with this product but can't seem to identify what it is! What it looks like: Clear gel-like serum. Very light/thin when applied... like the watery consistency of a serum What it was labeled: Murad BHA/AHA Acne Serum (there is no such thing) I am positive it said Murad and BHA/AHA because I remember wondering what the lettering stood for. I am almost quite positive it said serum because she also wrote "serum before moisturizer". But there is NO such thing on Sephora. The closest thing is the BHA/AHA acne cleanser, which apparently has microbeads in it (this one does not) and the consistency of the product is too thin for a cleanser. Any ideas, ladies??
Hi Ladies! I'm in my late 20s and have had pretty decent skin for years, but in the last few months I have started breaking out with these big unfamiliar bumps that don't look like the whiteheads I'm used to. I used to use First Aid's facial radiance pads and the Kate Somerville moisturizer - it was working pretty well but I wanted a slightly heavier moisturizer for the winter. I went in and had a two zits so the girl recommended I try the Murad month package. So I did, and since I know they said you break out at first, I've given it over two months now. Well...my minor zits are gone, but just when two of these bubbly zit type things resolve, I get another. Help! I know I need to switch products...but to what?
Hello! I just bought a jar of coconut oil the other day and have been researching all of the different uses. I want to start using it with my clarisonic as a cleanser and maybe even as a moisturizer but am worried that I will breakout. I'm not super prone to acne but have my occasional pimple. What is your experience with it? Do you think it causes or treats acne?
I have a bit of T-zone acne due to peri-menopausal hormones. I have also noticed significant new wrinkles around my mouth and fine lines around my eyes. Every time I try to use something for the wrinkles it seems to cause a break-out. My acne treatments seem to work fine, but what can use for wrinkles that won't cause break-outs?
So, I have acne, and all I want is clear skin! My acne is not heavy, I guess it is pretty mild. I want my pimples to go away, but I don't want something that is going to make my skin really really dry. Any recommendations?
SOS! My skin is having mini-breakouts , tons of blackheads on my nose, and minimal scarring from popping pimples. My skin is usually clear and I didn't use any skincare products on my face because it's usually okay. What do you ladies recommend? I have combo skin and I just want the little bumps and blackheads to go! Thanks in advance dolls. xoxo, Kelly
Hi everyone! I have some little bumps under my skin that don't seem to go away! I used to have acne, but it's calmed down and now I just get a 1 or 2 here and there. Right now I am using a Vichy face wash everyday and mask a couple times a week. I used to use a vichy gel water based moisturizer in the morning and night, but I felt it was too much oil on my face along with makeup. Now in the daytime, I use the Laura Mercier foundation primer, as it is oil free, though it does not really cover up these little bumps. I also use benzol peroxide at night which seems to help a little bit. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could be adding to my skin routine or changing?? Should I be using a moisturizer in the daytime and at night, and only use the primer instead when necessary? I'm 23 and I want to be done with this and have nice clear skin! Thank you!!
Ok, I just used the clarisonic for the first time 3 days ago. I'd been debating getting it for 2 years now for this very reason...but finally took the plunge hoping it would help me with my large pores/blackheads on my chin. I used the sensitive brush, and planned on using it just once a week until my skin got used to it. But now I'm wondering if I made a $150 mistake...I've got huge, cystic like bumps coming up on my chin, and even one under my eye on my cheekbone ( I NEVER break out there). What gives? Should I stop using it or just give it time? What was your experience with clarisonic?
Hey Beauties! Here's the deal. I normally have pretty much flawless skin. I'm 25 and I occasionally get one or two pimples, but not anything bad. However, I recently switched to Boscia's Tsubaki Oil, and my skin has decided to purge. At the worst time. I have four pimples around my nose, one on my cheek and two on my forehead. Since I don't ever really get acne, I'm not exactly sure what to do? Should I keep using the Tsubaki Oil or chalk it up as a loss? Is there anything I can do today to reduce the appearance of these by tomorrow? I have oodles of skincare products, and I'm willing to run out to the store to buy anything else I might need, but I have a date tomorrow night with the boyfriend, and I'd really like to look my best. Please help! Thank you!
My friend is getting married in six months, and I'm her MOH. She was asking me how to get rid of back/chest pimples before her wedding, since she has really sensitive skin and gets flare-ups of those at times. I only get the occasional chest pimple and it usually goes away if I leave it alone. Does anyone know of any products or tricks to get rid of the little suckers?
I have a small patch of dark marks on one of my cheeks from constantly popping pimples there. (I only get pimples on one of my cheeks for some reason, and they're usually painful if I don't pop them...I know, I know...it's not good to pop zits!) Are there any products you've used to get rid of the dark marks that have really worked? I've already tried Clinique's even better clinical dark spot corrector without success. I'm young and I know they'll probably fade over the course of several years, but I like to go makeup free sometimes, and the dark marks are extremely noticeable and I cannot do so (the patch of dark marks looks like a bruise under certain lights). Also - what's the best way to cover up the dark marks for now? I use a full coverage foundation, but the foundation is obviously to even out my skin tone on the rest of my relatively normal-toned face, so it often does not fully cover the dark marks. (The marks are actually right in the hollow of my cheek on the one side of my face, so it looks like my jaw/cheekbones are more defined on one side, which often looks quite odd.) Maybe I'm not using the right/right shade of concealer to cover it, but does anyone have any suggestions?
