Thoughts on the NEW Sephora Pro Airbrush Blender #78 Foundation Brush?!
I picked this brush up the other day along with the new Nars foundation - after I attended a "Flawless Foundation" class at Sephora. I LOVE those classes, I can't say enough good things, besides I wish their were more, more often!! I am really enjoying the brush - it blends flawlessly, uses less product and its a serious multi-tasker!! I am able to get ready so much quicker with this brush because I don't have to get wet, its large enough to cover your face quickly, and soft enough for the eyes, etc. Has anyone else picked this brush up - or have you attended class? What do you think?! I made a demo video and review of the brush for those who want more info!!! http://youtu.be/7kaBWczCqOc

Skin Clearing
I am 21 and suffer from minor breakouts and oily skin in my t-zone area. I have been using Proactiv for almost 10 years now and I am noticing that my skin seems dependent on it. I want to step away from that, but I am nervous in doing so.   What your skin care routine and what products do you use and suggest?   I've watched my share of Youtube videos, but I'm at a crossroads on what to actually try.    Thank you!

illumask anti-acne light therapy mask
I have been having some acne troubles and I went ahead and bought the Illumask.  It was on sale at Target for $25, but I had a $5 coupon for Ulta and some points, so i went there- $30-$5= $25, plus a free travel case (bc  I def needed that, right?).   I decided to try it tonight while watching the Ravens.  My family had a great laugh about it, so hopefully they're past it, but probably not...   For those of you curious if it works, I will try to keep up documenting my 30 day journey.  I even took a few pics, although I'm soooo not comfortable showing my face in its current state.  My face has about 5 blemishes right now, chin/mouth area, two are cystic and hurt, although better than yesterday for sure.   If I forget details or you have questions, feel free to ask.     I just got finished using it.  Directions are pretty simple:  start with a clean face, put mask on like a pair of sunglasses, push button.  It lights up right away, and goes off after 15 minutes on its own.  The counter starts at 30, and counts down 1 each time you turn it on.  There is no such thing as a pause , if you stop and start, it will deduct a use from the counter.     So 30 uses, 30 days, less than a dollar a day.  I don't know if it works, but what the heck...if it were $100, I'd say no until someone else tried it first, but $25 is worth it,     My first impression is yea right, but I'm hopeful.  Fifteen minutes went by pretty quickly.  I will say, there is virtually no line of vision- I can only see if the room is lit up, and only in front of me.  Forget walking down the steps or even typing...just takes too much effort.   Day 1:  Begin.  5 blemishes- 3 on day 2 of healing.   Day 2:  5 blemishes, sorta dried out, two still raised and red, although not painful. Day 3:  So far, healing nicely.  No more pain, but now I'm fighting the dryness.  I've had to moisturize throughout the day b/c layers of skin is starting to peel, which I'll trade for pain and red.  The two cystic are raised but have subsided a little.   Day 4:  Last night- my face was dry.  I used the mask and did my skincare routine.  The bumps are still there.  They'll be around for a while.  Nothing new coming in behind it, which is a good sign. Day 5-10:  Dry around the chin/mouth area, but no new spots to write about.  YAY! Day 20:  All is clear- dryness has subsided significantly.  Just trying to reduce redness now.

Smooth skin but red underneath- little to no pimples
In the past I had very bad pimple breakouts around my mouth and on my chin, with little acne bumps on my forehead. I knew it was from my eating habits and the amount of cover-up I used on a daily. I finally decided that I wanted to take care of the issue by starting within my body, so I started drinking lemon water and green tea throughout the day every day. My skin was getting smooth and soft but still very very red underneath. So I continue to wear cover-up (BB cream from Tarte to be exact). When I wear cover-up my skin looks good and smooth. My daily skin care routine is now washing my face with warm water and Spectro Cleansing gel for acne, then using oil-control toner by Olay, then applying my BB cream. My face doesn't get as oily as it once did now that I'm using oil control toner. After the day is over I wash off my makeup with aveeno makeup removing cleanser. When I go to bed some nights my skin is dry and almost looks flaky on my forehead so I apply Vitamin E, A and C moisturizer I got from GNC. Then in the morning I repeat my routine. I have been doing this for almost two months now and I don't get breakouts anymore, still I can't rid the red face! I am starting to get discouraged. Can someone please give me any advice? Am I over doing my routine? How often should I use toner? Should I switch my facewash? Is it something in my body causing the redness? HELP I have a wedding in 6 months!

Uncharacteristic Winter Breakouts
Ok ladies, I need some help! Within the last week my skin has freaked out. I have a substantial breakout on my chin, and a few on both sides of my nose and under my nose. These breakouts are very painful and I haven't had any like these in YEARS. I haven't changed anything in my skincare routine and am thinking it may have something to do with the cold, dry weather in my area of the country. Has anyone experienced this? I've been looking at the Josie Maran Argan Exfoliating Cleansing Powder because the areas freaking out are very dry. The product description says the product is gentle and has antibacterial properties. I was also thinking about one of the glamglow masks, but since both of these products are pricey I thought I'd post here for some advice first before taking the plunge.    I'm open to any suggestions if anyone has any!   Thanks!   My current skincare routine:    Cleanse - Fresh Soy Face Cleanser Moisturize - Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + Serum - Keihl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate I have a Clarisonic Mia+ that I use in the evenings only, but have stopped fearing it may be too harsh for my skin right now.

prescription acne medication
I've been dealing with hormonal acne for a year now and have been using some different medications, and I wanted to know what has worked for others who've had acne of the hormonal sort.   Last year I started with some topical treatments + Doxycycline and it seemed to work well. I took it for a few months and it cleared things up. A few months later though, it came back but I went tot a different derm b/c I had moved, and he only prescribed topical treatments b/c he didn't want me dependent on antibiotics. Didn't help though. When I moved back home I saw my original derm and he wanted to put me on Doxycycline again, but because I no longer had health insurance, I couldn't afford it (he said it was like $500+ w/out insurance!) Anyway, instead, he prescribed Sulfamethoxazole/tmp, which I've been taking for just over a month. It's easy on the wallet, b/c my grocery store fills this prescription for free...but, It's hard to tell if it's helping that much -- my acne hasn't gotten worse, but I don't think it's gotten that much better either. :-/   Has anyone ever taken sulfamethoxazole? What has/hasn't worked for you in terms of prescription medication? I'm sooooo sick of feeling obligated to cake on foundation (Kat Von D. That's how much coverage I need!) every time I leave the house.

Best toner and moisturizer for oily skin?
I have oily skin and I use Cetaphil gentle cleanser to cleanse my face every morning and at night because I have pores and blackheads and it works well to get rid of the excess oil. Then I use an astringent toner  by a Japanese brand called Kracie and BB cream in the morning. At night I wash my face with Cetaphil again and apply a "wrinkle essence" lotion along with a "milk" that are also by Kracie and just makes my skin very oily with a shiny t-zone.
