I recently have been having horrible flare ups and my skin is very sentimental to harsh acne treatments. I tried the Clinique acne three step solutions and it made my skin a lot worse. I currently use Fresh soy cleanser in the morning and Purity 3 in 1 cleanser at night, Lush tea tree toner, Clinique spot treatment and try out various lotions. Any recommendations that works better? I don't work well with salicylic acid cleansers

Fyi, I just stopped by ulta and saw that they have Tony Moly masks in stock. The associate said they'll be getting more products soon! She's not sure when it'll show up online! :-D I love their panda collection. It's hard to find the panda eye patches but they work wonders!
I was just getting ready to purchase my usual Josie Maran body butter and to my surprise there was five new scents, amazing! Have any of you tried these new scents? Are you loving them? I'm ordering each one. Bad on the wallet but great on my hands lol. Do tell? Donna
We're blabbing about everything else these days, I figured I'd check in and see what people are watching when it comes to TV shows and movies! It would be foolish to think that this thread could remain spoiler free, so let's be courteous to one another and be sure to spoiler your spoilers. If you don't know how, it's that super adorable little yellow button on the toolbar, located to the right of the bold/italic/underline/strikeout buttons. DONT FORGET: If you happen to be the most recent post, your first sentence or two of your post will show up EVEN IF ITS IN A SPOILER. So please take care if you're going to go dropping spoiler bombs. Anywho... I just saw the movie PHOENIX last night and it was absolutely spectacular. Like Academy Award spectacular. If you're fortunate enough have showings in your area, I cannot urge you enough to go see it. So whatcha'll watchin' these days? What are you anxiously waiting for to start back up?
Ok ,, so I've put this off and I should have done this months ago but I was in a deep depression and also not ready to face you all. As you know my husband (mygreathair12)) passed away several months ago. In his last days his only joy was beauty talk and Sephora in general. He loved you guys so much, you will never know what you ladies ment to him. I know that he read the thread you guys made for him as often as he could. I wasn't sure if I should keep using our account we had together with his screen name. Somehow it comforts me to keep his spirit alive still. I was so unsure if I should do this but I felt like I had to say a special thank you for all you did for him. I feel like I can't say enough but I'll end this here.,,,Donna
Am I going crazy or does it seem like everything is slowly becoming OOS on Sephora.ca. Pretty much nearly the whole website looks like this on my computer. The Burberry makeup still had lots of items in stock last night and now today all the makeup is OOS. Same with many other brands. Any other Canadians seeing this on their Sephora too? Accidentally posted under skincare/acne LOL oops.
Help! Im going into 9th grade and am looking for a better makeup/skincare routine, as of right now i wear an elf primer, maybelline acne fighting bb cream, a crappy concealer, and a smooth minerals press powder, any ideas as to what i can use to cover the occassional breakouts (and a better concealer) ps- i have a fair skintone (im a redhead) and a normal skin type
I've recently bought a Clarisonic Mia 2 and been using the acne brush and cleanser, I only use it once a night and was wondering what moisturizer I should use to help clear my acne and acne scars? I also been noticing some dryness on my forehead so I need a moisturizer that will help.
Back in May I purchased the Kat Von D foundation and tried it one time. It broke me out but I figured it that time of the month so blamed it on that. So I continued to use my Makeup HD product.. Well I ran out last week and this week finally started to use the Kat Von d and even with primer and setting spray it will not look right. Its way to shiny and the color is too light on my face, plus I broke out again. So it’s been over 90 days since I purchased it, would I still be able to return it t to the store?Anyone know? thanks!!
I found a bottle of PTR Retinol Fusion PM that I had stored in a cool, dark spot a year ago. Dumb me!! Could I still use it, or do I need to suck it up and spend money to buy a new bottle? Thanks for your help!
For the first time in my life, I'm experiencing an acne flareup -- mostly between my eyebrows and on my lower cheeks. It's out of control. Any products work especially well for anyone? I greatly appreciate your suggestions and will heart every one. Thank you for sharing!
hi everyone! i have dry to combination skin and for the past couple years my face was totally clear. but starting earlier this spring, i got these tiny colorless bumps all over my forehead. i cant seem to get rid of them at all and now theyre spreading to my cheeks too!! ive done tons of research and have tried both cleansing and hydrating them but theyre not budging. i know this isnt a dermatology forum, but my dermatologist was no help. have any of you had this problem and do you know any products thatll help me? thank you! <3
I've been coloring my hair for many years using Loreal products. Until about 6 months ago I was using a very very light shade of blonde. My natural hair color is dark blonde. In the past 6 months I've switched to a darker blonde permanent hair color (level 8 or so). The problem is that the color doesn't seem to "stick" to my hair for very long at all (like maybe a week or two). All my hair is now pretty much back to super white. I'd like to get away from the super white blonde because it is frying my hair, I think it is aging (and who wants that?), and I'd like a more natural shade. Should I switch to a non-permanent color in dark blonde? Will I need to touch it up more often? Will it allow my natural color to grow out more w/o lightening all my hair? I'll add that I am outside a lot in the summer, swim in chlorine (I try to use a swim cap religiously), and wash my hair about every-other-day. I don't use any special shampoos other than a purple one about 1x a week to chase away brassiness. TIA for any suggestions!
I recently went to my local sephora store and one of the cast members told me that there might not be a vib rouge november 2015 sale because apprently people were taking advantange of the past rouge sales and returning everything to get the full refund. does anybody know any details regarding the november sale?
Spoiler (Highlight to read) Spoiler (Highlight to read) Spoiler (Highlight to read) HI, I have been using Proactiv for about a year now, but realized how ridiculously priced it is. I was paying over $100 for a "three month" supply. Even though the 1 month supply was the just a tad smaller! Anyways, It didn't work amazingly that i thought it was worth it. So I am looking for an alternative and i am willing to pay a pretty penny for something that works. I have Oily, sensitive skin that i usually break out easily. Proactiv, and the Target brand of Apricot scrubs have been the only things in the past that have worked for me. I have been to a dermatologist and had no luck I am open to all suggestions!! *PS i do not know how to get rid of the spoiler tab??
Anyone tried this? I have been too busy to enduldge in facials and figure that I can have this on-hand and do this at home... Not to mention the savings, if it actually works! I couldn't resist a Nordstrom and caved in!
Jeffree Starr has been posting a lot of beautiful colors in his lipstick library recently and I'm getting squirmy for want to purchase one. I'm a huge fan of the Kat Von D ones (I own 11) and was wondering who out there uses Starr's lippies? Some of the colors are quite similar (Underage Red vs. Red Rum, Posh Spice vs. Bow n' Arrow). I've done a search and can't find many swatches side by side to compare the two formulas ( esp. Underage Red and Red Rum). It's gets expensive to ship and if I don't like the color I can't return Jeffree Starr's lipstick, have any of you purchased both? And would it be worth the money to buy both, or would I be buying dupes?
Okay I have a MAJOR issue. I have super dry skin, so I use moisturizing masks, super hydrating moisturizers, illuminating primers and dewy foundations. My skin looks super dewy and healthy for the first fifteen minutes. After that it goes completely matte and gross, no matter what I do! It's almost like it has dried up, or my skin ate all of the makeup. It looks ESPECIALLY gross under bronzer and under eye setting powder(which I can't skip.. Concealer creases like crazy) What do I do?
Is it just my computer, or are the pictures just super elongated today. When I saw NC's blush photo, I thought that is a really long skinny shape for a blush, and then I noticed several of the WAYWT photos are super long/tall. Some pictures are showing normally.
This isn't available in the U.S. until next year, but I found it on Amazon for $27 and just ordered it. I'm really intrigued by the science behind it and I'm hoping it works well. Imabeautygeek has a story on her blog and if you're interested, I suggest reading it. Here's part of her review: avène triacnéal expert's anti-bacterial molecule The key to Avène TriAcnéal Expert's formula is something called Diolenyl, a devious new Trojan-horse molecule that functions like ant bait for P. acnes bacteria, the nasties that cause pimples. Avène's umbrella company Pierre Fabre designed Diolenyl to resemble skin's triglyceride lipid molecules, which contain a sugar that P. acnes bacteria sees as breakfast, lunch and dinner. Diolenyl's sugar component is similar, with a diabolical twist: when zit bacteria starts munching, it activates two agents within the molecule. One is an anti-inflammatory ingredient to protect the skin and the other hamstrings acne bacteria's ability to multiply. Sneak attack! Ingredients: Spoiler (Highlight to read)
I am on here and noticed Burberry kit. I looked and noticed face foundation is formatted for light skintones..Why don;t all of these kits offer foundations for darker skintones...have the same products but for the face offer a different variety of colors for one to choose from..this really upsets me..I would love to try these but I am not going to purchase a kit that offers a foundation created for light skintones..sometimes the lipstick is off, but they do seem to put in a universal shade..
Hello! Please help... I am using N125 for Make Up Forever HD. Is there anyway you can help me to choose a shade that will fit from Giorgio Armani Luminous silk foundation? Also, I have a very very sensitive dry skin.... I tried a drug store brand of liquid foundation this morning. My work starts at 8am, and I noticed this summer, after 4hours, my face starts to get oily, specially in my T-zone area of my face, and I noticed my foundation starts to sink or clog into my pores, and in my forehead. Although I find Make up forever still OK with me. So is it normal to have a oily skin during summer? Please help me and if theres anything that you can suggest for other foundation. Thank you, :-) Aimeelin
I used to get told all the time that I had beautiful skin. I recently started developing red, scaly patches on the sides of my mouth (perioral) which one doctor told me was caused from drool. The doctor gave me a cortisone/steriod cream that cleared it right up but then it came back three times worse. I still have the red, flaky/scaley areas but now I get little whiteheads too. My doctor prescribed me Clindamycin Topical Solution but it's only made it worse. Any suggestions?
