Q. Complicated skin is an understatement!
I've tried EVERYTHING! Murad? Kate Sommerville? Clairsonic?   I am looking for any advice on my never ending skin problems. I just turned thirty and for as long as I can possibly remember I've had problem skin. I get acne breakouts---the worst being hormonal break outs around my cycle. I get blackheads, white heads, large blemishes, small blemishes---you name it. Unfortunately it is not only on my face but also on my neck, chest and back. It feels like I have tried everything. From perscription remedies from my dermatologist, acutane and I am sure I have spent a small fortune on skin care products. I am currently using Kiehl's products. I have been using them since October and I have seen minimal results. I have heard good things about Kate Sommerville, Murad and the Clairsonic but before I change my skin care line once again I thought I would get as much advice as possible to avoid spending more money! Please! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Help! I'm looking for a good product to get rid of Keratosis Pilaris on my face!
I have keratosis pilaris on my arms and I've found something to take care of that. However, I have it on my forehead and have no idea how to get rid of it! My skin is relatively dry, acne-free with the occasional whitehead, and somewhat sensitive (it gets red easily). I worked for a company for 2 years that sells skincare so I have a decent amount of knowledge on skincare, but I still haven't found anything good for the KP on my face. Help please? I don't really have a price range.   Thanks!

Needing regime order help and input for a Tretinoin user..
I use a tretinoin (Tazorac, like Retin A) cream in the PM to help with my regular and cystic acne, but am still finding I still have a lot of scarring with darker pigmentation from a particularly bad summer. (Turns out my bc was GIVING me acne). What else can I add to my routine to help minimize these dark spots? I'm finding I'm more self conscious of them now that I'm dating more and am considering the Clarisonic and/or a peel but am seeking your help.   Right now my AM regime is REN Rosa Centifolia Purity Cleansing Balm (to help with the peeling), Kate Somerville Clarifying Treatment Toner, Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster, Perricone MD Photo Plasma, then makeup.   My PM regime is a mild cleanser (looking for a new one), Kate Somerville Clarifying Treatment Toner, Tazorac.  Where would my Truth Serum Collagen Booster fit in at night (this should be helping with the dark spots, right)? Should I be using a nighttime moisturizer?   Help please!  I'm 30 with combination skin.  Thanks guys.  I'm all ears.

Do Pore clearing products really work?
I have tried so many different products to clear my blackheads on the nose - from pore strips and clay masks to Clarisonic and face scrubs. Nothing seems to even remotely get rid of them. My regular skin care routine is washing my face with Ole Henriksen African Tea face wash with a Clarisonic, the Vitamin C serum, then OH moisturizer So far the only thing that has worked for me to get rid of the pesky blackheads is a comedone  extractor tool. But I fear it is damaging to my skin as I do it twice a week.    I feel like clay masks do nothing to battle them. Mario Badescu Silver powder has helped a little, but not much.    Any recommendations on foolproof blackhead prevention and extraction?

illumask anti-acne light therapy mask
I have been having some acne troubles and I went ahead and bought the Illumask.  It was on sale at Target for $25, but I had a $5 coupon for Ulta and some points, so i went there- $30-$5= $25, plus a free travel case (bc  I def needed that, right?).   I decided to try it tonight while watching the Ravens.  My family had a great laugh about it, so hopefully they're past it, but probably not...   For those of you curious if it works, I will try to keep up documenting my 30 day journey.  I even took a few pics, although I'm soooo not comfortable showing my face in its current state.  My face has about 5 blemishes right now, chin/mouth area, two are cystic and hurt, although better than yesterday for sure.   If I forget details or you have questions, feel free to ask.     I just got finished using it.  Directions are pretty simple:  start with a clean face, put mask on like a pair of sunglasses, push button.  It lights up right away, and goes off after 15 minutes on its own.  The counter starts at 30, and counts down 1 each time you turn it on.  There is no such thing as a pause , if you stop and start, it will deduct a use from the counter.     So 30 uses, 30 days, less than a dollar a day.  I don't know if it works, but what the heck...if it were $100, I'd say no until someone else tried it first, but $25 is worth it,     My first impression is yea right, but I'm hopeful.  Fifteen minutes went by pretty quickly.  I will say, there is virtually no line of vision- I can only see if the room is lit up, and only in front of me.  Forget walking down the steps or even typing...just takes too much effort.   Day 1:  Begin.  5 blemishes- 3 on day 2 of healing.   Day 2:  5 blemishes, sorta dried out, two still raised and red, although not painful. Day 3:  So far, healing nicely.  No more pain, but now I'm fighting the dryness.  I've had to moisturize throughout the day b/c layers of skin is starting to peel, which I'll trade for pain and red.  The two cystic are raised but have subsided a little.   Day 4:  Last night- my face was dry.  I used the mask and did my skincare routine.  The bumps are still there.  They'll be around for a while.  Nothing new coming in behind it, which is a good sign. Day 5-10:  Dry around the chin/mouth area, but no new spots to write about.  YAY!

Im struggling with acne again, My clear streak is over for now.  Im watching to Today show and they showed the Illumask for acne or antiaging.  I looked it up and they sell it at Ulta.  Its $30, and it lasts for 30 days.  Has anyone tried it for help with acne?  They say its comparable to the derm, but Ive not done that either.  Any advice or recommendations for this or something comparable?

Another try!
I decided to start a proper skincare routine a few months back and had a lot of help from the community here to choose products to begin with! At the end of every day I've been using the Ole Henriksen makeup remover, FAB daily cleanser, FAB facial radiance pads and Ole Henrksen moisturizer. Once a week I use the FAB red clay mask. But recently I've been under a lot of stress and breaking out a ton. I'm getting a lot of large, red, under-the-skin bumps which last forever, and smaller bumps due to clogged pores. My skincare routine is not cutting it - I'd like to switch up the products I'm using. I think I'd like to start with replacing the FAB bits because I really love the look, smell and feel of the Ole Henriksen stuff

Skin Care Reaction: Algenist Cleanser
Just over a week ago I purchased the new Sephora Great Cleanse set. I was excited to try out the algenist cream/ oil cleanser, but I am having a reaction to it. I'm breaking out in huuge deep blemishes that are painful to the touch! I'm not sure If I should just not be using the Algenist or if my skin is just freaking out because I'm trying something new, and will eventually settle down if I stick with the Algenist.   What do you think? Have any of you had that kind of reaction? I've tried the Algenist eye cream and haven't had a reaction to it. I feel so-so about the face oil as it sometimes can give me a slightly stingy sensation.

Blotchy/Acne Prone skin?
I've never had many acne problems (besides the occasional breakouts) until after I turned 19. I'd been continuing on with my skincare routine (mostly Origin products, no makeup) and one day, my skin just got really blotchy - red blotches on my skin (not exactly acne). Now I get more breakouts around my cheeks, and I still have these red blotches on my cheeks. It's only after these blotches appeared that I started using BB creams to try to cover them up. I purchased the Luna and started using the Body's Shop tea tree line of products on my skin, but nothing has really changed. Any suggestions on products please? thank you!

Uneven texture? Acne-prone?
Hi, I have very temperamental skin. I haven't always taken the best care of it and it's suffered great amounts because of it. I'm finally at a point in my life where, as far as my beauty and self-care goes, my skin is my top priority. I'm having trouble digging myself out of this hole though. My main problems is an uneven texture. Aside from those small little bumps (that I'm still waiting on going away), I always have extremely uneven texture. I was wondering if a cleanser, serum, oil or moisturizer would help target that problem more? And if anyone had any recommendation. I have flakiness around my mouth and jawline. I was previously very oily, but since consistently moisturizing twice daily that has gone away. My pores are still very easily clogged though and my cheeks break out very easily because of it. Otherwise, the rest of my face (as of late) has been relatively normal. Again, just very uneven texture. Any advice, recommendations, etc.?

Calling all Skin Care Guru's...
I apologize in advance if there was already a post done by someone with a similar situation!   I have fortunately never had any problems with breakouts or acne, even around that time of the month. With that being said... I've developed bumps along my jaw line and my chin/lip area. It's not sore and it doesn't hurt... it's just... noticeable.     These are very different than the normal bumps/redness I'm used to from the rosacea on my cheeks - and I'm not certain how to treat them.   Currently the only skin products I use are FAB daily cleanser and Kate Somerville Eczema Therapy Cream to treat rosacea and moisturize. My skin is also extremely dry and very sensitive.   Any suggestions??
