Acne and acne scars, HELP!
Has anyone had experience with getting rid of or diminishing appearance of indented acne scars. The pocks aren't huge, but they exist and I would rather have a cream or gel some sort of application until winter when I have time to get some sort of laser treatment done. Let me know if you've heard of a good one or have tried one that works.   On a related note, I also have lingering acne and am looking to try a new product. The scars are currently my priority, though.

Desperate
Hey all. I have been dealing with acne for a long time. I've seen a derm before but last time I saw one they wanted me to do a daily antibiotic and that's not really an option for me. I would go see one now but it takes about 5 months to get in to see one in our area. I have been struggling lately with my acne. It ranges from cystic acne (main problem) to white heads to black heads and usually occurs on my chin. I know some of it is probably stress because I recently started going back to school. Last summer I switched to Neutogena's Natural collection and was having no problems then all the sudden it was cyst city. The only change I can remember around this time was I tried a BB cream instead of my foundation.   I switched back to my foundation and have been using Dermadoctor's Ain't Misbehavin' face wash and Origin's Active Charcoal Face Mask every few days. On my breakouts, I have been using Clinique's Acne Solutions Emergency Gel-Lotion Intensif Benzoyl Peroxide acne medication. It doesn't seem to be helping and may even be making things worse. I don't use a toner because I was told by my derm once that it can actually close pores and causes cysts. I also don't really use a moisturizer because I'm too worried something will break me out.   I'm kind of on my last line. It is starting to spread to my forehead and even some small spots on my cheeks. I'm just so frustrated. What do you guys recommend? I'm considering trying a sulfur spot treatment instead but am still looking for a moisturizer that will help keep things calm.

Annoyed with Acne!
Hey everyone, I'm beginning to lose my temper with my persistent acne! I've tried so many different acne treatments including Clearasil, Clean and Clear, Clinique 3-Step and medicated gel containing erythromycin (I can't remember it's specific name).   Nothing seems to be helping. I'm really reluctant to try proactiv or something like accutane since I've heard bad things about both. My acne is usually mild but consistent, but now I'm experiencing quite a flare up and I don't even want to go outside! Any advice you guys have would be great!

Climate change effecting acne...
So I've had fairly bad problems with acne for almost 8 years now. I've gone through multiple different skincare regimens and prescriptions...none of which have made an impact. A year ago I moved from Oregon to Ohio to attend college and noticed that with the humidity my skin got a lot clearer. I still had breakouts but they were mostly related to my monthly "gift". Whenever I come home to Oregon whether it be for Winter, Spring, or Summer break though, my skin instantly gets awful. I have tons of breakouts and experience dryness on a constant basis.  I'm currently using the prescriptions doxycycline (oral), tazorac (topical), and acanya (topical). I've also been using the Korres Milk Proteins Foaming Face Cleanser as well as Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer for Oily/Combination skin on a daily basis. (I would say I have sensitive, combination skin)   If anyone has any suggestions on how to better work with my skin in the climate change or anything please share! I'm so tired of dealing with the acne and scarring that comes with it. =(

Acne/Blemish Cream
Hi All:   I am wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for a face cream that would be used to prevent acne/belmishes.  I currently use a benzoyl peroxide cream from Clean & Clear, and it works OK, but I am wondering i there is something better on the market.  I use the bezoyl peroxide at night after washing my face.  I let that sink in for a few minutes, then apply moisturizer ater that.  If I skip the benzoyl peroxide for a day or two, I break out.  But even using the cream every night I get a few blemishes regularly, which is why i'm wondering if there is something better that would help prevent them even more.    Any suggestions woul  be greatly appreciated!

Weird Topic, but can someone give me a skincare routine and products to use
This is long, sorry I am really tired of having skin problems, I want to be able to leave the house without having to put concealer and foundation. I had normal skin in high school except breakouts on forehead when it was that time of month. However, once I entered college I started breaking out all over. And my mom said same thing happened to her and didnt clear up fully til she was 26. I am only 20 years old so I can't wait that long. If its not that time of month or not close to it, I just wear nars radiant concealer over blemishes and powder because it can be covered. However it does not look amazing, but heavy coverage foundations day by day breaks me out. So I stay away. I went to a dermatologist a year ago and he put me on medicine that made it worse with no results and then wanted me to go on accutane but my skin is not that bad and my mom is against because of the side effects. Right now I just use first aid beauty cleanser and derma e no more redness cleanser. And moisturizer. My blemishes are red and small and mainly on the cheeks. However, during my period it is all over my face but multiplied by 5x and no way covering it. So if anyone can give me a skincare routine recommendations with products to use (sensitive/dry skin) and possibly makeup.

Clarisonic Mia or Mia 2?
I'm in my teens and my graduation is coming up. I have chest, back and face acne. I want to clear it up before my graduation (hopefully). I have oily skin that is like dry and sensitive at the same time... and acne prone. o-o I read that it helps with acne so i'm willing to invest in it. (: I don't know which one to buy, i know that the Mia is like $30 cheaper and the Mia 2 has two speeds. Is it really necessary to have 2 speeds? Which one is better for both face and body? Is the timer necessary? Do they both do the same job? Help me please! I'm kinda in need of help for clearing up my acne. It's making my self esteem low and confidence. :c

Toothpaste breakouts?
I was going to post a pic of my lips so you ladies can tell me, "Yes, do that!" or "No! For Heaven's sake, no!" in regards to lining or concealing but I'm experiencing breakouts right along my lip line.  I'm still waiting for the first one to go away and now a second one appeared this morning.  These pimples are practically on my bottom lip!  I've had a lot of breakouts in my life but never on my lip line before. Age 21 never used to get pimples now suddenly breaking out.
Hey guys    I just turned 21 years old and have never really had pimples throughout my whole life except the occasional one or some on my forehead because of my bangs...   But the last year or so I've been noticing that I've been breaking out a little on my cheeks but mostly around the outside of my chin to the side/botton of cheeks.. and some on the upper lip as well.   They aren't horrible pimples, in fact, they are just bumps that you can see on the skin nothing too red - it's definitely not ACNE but it is DEFINITELY breaking out.    I'm not sure why this is happening all of the sudden... Not only do I get frequent white heads but I also get little black heads on my cheeks that I never used to get or in places I never used to get..   I'm really good at taking care of my skin and have a good regime and I exfoliate when I need to and use trusted products. I just don't know where this is coming from since I'm already 21 - hoping someone has some advice!

Cystic acne: Your advice?
I'm in my 30s and have cystic acne on occasion.  The most frustrating thing I think we'd all agree on is how dang long it takes to make them go away!  I'd love to hear from those of you who've dealt with these.  How do you make them go away?  How long do they stay for you?  What do you use to cover them, especially since they don't break the skin like a pimple but are just raised lumps? Thanks, and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I also use a Clarisonic. Now I have three cystic pimples on my cheeks (I NEVER used to breakout on my cheeks), two on my chin and I came home today and found I have a new one on my forehead. I also have t ton on tiny under the skin bumps on my chin. What is going on?? My skin wasn't even this barowen I went to the derm the first time! Is there anything you would recommend? Is this my acne solution regimen??
Well, every so often I try something new for my acne and I always go up to my husband a week or so after starting it and say "my skin looks better, doesn't it?!" and it turns out to be a fluke and my breakouts continue.  However, I am hoping that I have finally found the perfect balance this time and that I may have discovered my skin solution regimen!   I have tried a lot in the last 8 years since beginning my 20s with major cystic acne problems.  Dermatologist (Doryx, clindamycin), Clinique Acne Solutions foundation and 3 step system, Proactive, the natural route, Clarisonic, etc.   Here is what I do now: AM -wash face with honey.  Yep, that's it, honey. -MURAD Essential-C Day Moisture SPF 30 (-my makeup routine includes Smashbox primer, Dior or Revlon foundation, concealer, NARS loose powder, I haven't changed this)   PM -wash face with Origins Frothy Face Wash -Origins A Perfect World toner -Clarisonic 2x a week -MURAD Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask 1x a week -PeterThomasRoth DeSpot on chin and cheeks -Josie Maran Argan Oil with tea tree oil added all over face   I'm hoping this continues!!  I have small whiteheads occasionally but no huge painful cysts, and those are the ones that scar and ruin my face for at least 8 months.   Good luck to everyone else searching for their solution.

Q. Break out after getting eyebrows done...
I've been getting my eyebrows done since I was 12, but I hadn't had any issues with breaking out because of it until I turned about 18 (Now, I hardly break out at all...until I get my eyebrows done). Now I'm 20 and, two years later, I'm still breaking out EVERY time I get them waxed, threaded, or even tweezed. I have small, red white heads in the area around my eyebrows (mostly above and on either side; not so much underneath them). I've tried cleansing right after and applying spot treatments, asking the person who does them to not apply the oils afterwards, and even switching up my skin care regimen. What is going on? It's so frustrating because by the time I clear up, it's time to get them done again. Any advice?

Q. Stopped using Clarisonic....skin much clearer.....
I'm dying to know if anyone has had a similar experience!! I used my Clarisonic Mia faithfully for 6 months. It seemed my face would get worse, then clear up, get worse, clear up.....and so on. I stopped using it in mid-March due to a nasty sunburn I got while in Florida, here we are, it's almost May and I haven't touched it once....my skin hasn't looked this good in a loooong time and of course I'm thrilled, but did I waste time and money on the Clarisonic?? I don't doubt the brush itself, the company or any of their products but my mind is boggled anyway! Toward the end of my Florida vacation, the sunburn healed and my face seemed clearer...so I kinda tested the whole situation and stopped using the brush, trying to see if there was a correlation. I'd love to hear some input on this, the Clarisonic is collecting dust..... Spoiler (Highlight to read)
