blackheads everywhere!

I have a lot of blackheads on my forehead, nose and a few on my chin. I've tried a lot, but I can't seem to get rid of them! Is there a mask, cleanser or anything else I can try to make them disappear? I recently bought the clarisonic mia and I'm using it with philosophys purity made simple. It has helped a little, but I want these blackheads to be gone!

I would try using Dr. Brandt Skincare Pores No More Cleanser with your Clarisonic.  It dissolves impurities, refines enlarged pores, and clears blackheads and whiteheads while controlling excess oil.  It really gets your skin super clean.  You can find this product here:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P9523&categoryId=B70

You may also want to consider using Dr. Brandt Skincare Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner which is an effective blackhead and oil extractor that you leave on for 5 to 10 minutes twice a week.  This product helps loosen blackheads by absorbing dirt and excess oil. Your complexion is left smoother, clearer, and more refined.  You can find this product here:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P236007&categoryId=B70

I hope this helps you. :smileyhappy:

The use of the Mia should help alot, it won't happen overnight so don't panic if you're not seeing an immediate improvement.  I would suggest switching to a cleanser with glycolic acid (Perricone makes a bar) or salicylic acid to get maximum benefit from the Mia.  You still might want to use a clay type mask once a week or so also.  Murad makes has one called Clarifying Mask and there's one available in drugstores from Queen Helene..it's green but I'm not sure what it's called.

Though it is not sold at Sephora, Mario Badescu Silver Powder a couple times a week is a miracle worker!

A couple products people seem to love and are inexpensive:

Aztec Secret Indian Healing clay, you mix it up with apple cider vinegar, which is good for your skin too. There are different recipes online including things like honey so you can tailor it to your needs and experiment.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask: A reviewer mentioned this one already, just a really nice fresh green clay mask.

Here is my other tip though, and bear with me. Shave your face, your whole face. Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe did it. The little clear baby hairs on your face are a different type, and won't grow back thicker. Makeup goes on smoother and face looks brighter without them too. woman-shaving.jpg

I feel silly just writing this, but I shaved my nose. I feel like the razor kind of snagged any blackheads. Plus it preps your skin wonderfully for a peel or mask.

It really isn't that different from any other physycal/abrasive exfoliator, so give it a try, or if you want the classy version, go to a salon for dermaplaning.

Last thing, for scrubs, I prefer ones that are very finely milled (eclos makes a nice natural one wiht salt, also drugstore) or mild levels of chemicals. I'm a fan of a sample I got of Amore Pacific http://www.sephora.com/treatment-enzyme-peel-P232931?skuId=1161694 but I think it is too soon to really call. At $60, I recommend trying the $10 options first.

I would try a BHA gel or lotion like one from Paula's Choice.  It's amazing at dissolving blackheads and exfoliating the skin to prevent more.

I use Purpose as my cleanser which has no soap.  After all these fancy cleansers - I went back to basics.  I use this with my hand held cleaner brush thing.  It took a few weeks but the blackheads on my nose has improved.  I've been hoarding so many different cleansers and products - I simplified and my skin thanks me for it with no breakouts.

I really love using Origins Activated Charcoal mask.  It's really quite inexpensive (you don't need a lot, and the tube is really big), and my pores are always noticeably clearer after using.  Also, using a peel or treatment with glycolic acid in it will help to keep dead skin from blocking your pores.
