Hello BT! I went to my dermatologist and she prescribed me with Tretinoin 0.025% for night time, and 5% BP topical gel with clindamycin lotion for the morning. She said that I have combination acne (red bumps, white heads and cysts). Also, she mentioned to use oil free, non comedogenic products and a gentle facial cleanser. I plan on continuing my use with Cetaphil gentle facial cleanser but was wondering if there were products that you could recommend me trying as a new moisturizer since my Olay is not oil free. Also, any other products that you could suggest would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I am going on vacation in October and I plan on doing some serious make-up shopping. I would love to hear some suggestions on products to try. I love a glowy look and I love color. I have tried such brands as Urban decay,Kat Von D,Anastasia of beverly hills,Too Faced, etc. I am looking to buy foundation, primer, mascara, lipstick, lip liner, eye liner and skin care products.
I am looking for a wonderful face primer to put on before my foundation routine. I have oily to combination skin...very large pores on my cheeks by my nose (I need a primer that will shrink those) and I am acne-breakout prone. I have tried porefessional, it it breaks me out every time. Any recommendations on a lightweight primer that won't clog my skin but will also help mattify my skin throughout the day and will make my skin look glowy? Thanks!
I have acne, majority of the time, on my chin and around my mouth area and throughout the day I get an oily t-zone. It seems even if I do not pick a pimple it still leaves hyper-pigmentation, I have a lot of that. Could anyone recommend a whole new skin care routine that suits my needs? Greatly appreciated (I have used Murad, Clinque, and Ren T-Zone control cleansing gel before and all were unsuccessful)
There are 2 sets online - one for $19 CAD with two shades (coral and honey) and one for $34 CAD with 4 shades, including a new one watermelon - which you can't get outside of this set. I have 4 shades and the 4 set one only has one of the colours I don't have. The reviews for the 4 set both say the tubes are really tiny but comparable in price to the large tubes. http://www.sephora.com/love-that-flush-argan-infin ity-lip-cheek-creamy-oil-set-P388639?skuId=1627074 http://www.sephora.com/argan-infinity-lip-cheek-cr eamy-oil-duo-P388933?skuId=1627066
I have my face under control I use dr. dennis gross extra strength peel regularly and then put my proactive step 3 on after that before bed and this keeps my face clear but i always end up with pimples in my hairline and farther back into my scalp!! It's extremely irritating and I have thin hair especially towards my face so sometimes they are noticeable...Does anyone have any suggestions for something that could help this? Shampoo/Conditioner combo or some skincare that wouldn't grease/ruin my hair???
Alright ladies, lets hear it...I am not too keen on spending $70 on a mask I am not sure will work for me. What are your reviews on the Glamglow superclearing (white) mask/treatment?? I have blackheads that need to be cleared, acne-prone skin, with the occasional hormonal breakout & my skin is also oily-combination. I have heard RAVE reviews and so-so reviews. HELP!
I know that Sephora doesn't sell Illamasqua anymore, Nordstrom never has, and now I see that it is no longer on Bloomingdales website. Does anyone know where Illamasqua can be found in the States? I am definitely not paying international shipping from the UK.
Can anyone suggest a good make up line that looks natural and looks like your not wearing make up and that is not tested on animals and has all natural ingredients in it. I was using tarte until i found out that they sold the company to someone that test the make up on animals and no so natural anymore. thank you. Just a FYI this is what i already used Bare minerals= can't use because of the bismith ingredient makes my skin scratchy. laura geller= i got bored of and has to much shimmer for my face I was thinking of trying= Hourglass but they are very pricey too faced, or lorac what do you all think i should try or if anyone has any other opinions of other brands that they love.
I have oily, acne-prone skin with some dark acne scars along the cheeks. Between FAB's Face Cleanser, Boscia's Detox Black Cleanser and Murad's Face Cleanser, which is best? Or is there something better?
Hi there! I really need some help on this one... I'm trying to find a new go-to cleanser to help me put away my acne for good! I'm 16 and I have oily, acne prone skin and quite a few dark acne scars on my cheeks. I really just want to get past all of it. I've heard a lot of people highly praise First Aid Beauty's Face Cleanser which, judging off the reviews, apparently helps with acne AND scarring which is huge for me, but a lot of other cleansers seem good too? I've just never heard about a bunch of them so I'm biased to the FAB cleanser. That's why I wanna know, is there something better out there for me? I've also contemplated getting stuff from Lush and Kiehl's, but I dont know.
In some seasons (mostly spring and summer) my skin gets really oily so I use powder to make it more matte. But whenever I use powder, I breakout so badly! Same thing happens with foundation, bb cream, concealer and any other coverups. Does this happen to anyone else? My skin's super sensitive. This summer vacation I stopped putting anything on my face and my pimples started to fade. I'm really happy about that but I still miss using powder since it kept my face from looking too oily and it evened out my skin tone. Does anyone know any really good and gentle powders I could use?? Please help!
I am getting tons of little bumps and pimples on my foreheard and on the sides of my face. How do I get rid of them? I have oily skin and use products that are supposed to help with oiliness and I use a Clarisonic aria everyday as well as exfoliation once a week at least. I am not sure what to do. They look so ugly! I also have problems with big ingrown zits sometimes.
hi there! I have a big time skincare regime question. I have oily to combination skin. VERY sensitive and very acne prone. I do not have a lot of acne anymore, but any little irritation of a new skincare or makeup product will cause me to breakout. I also have some dark spots and light acne scarring from the past. I am currently using "exuviance" facewash and night cream. Can anyone recommend a morning and night time routine with me including products that will help to keep my skin clear and help diminish fine lines, and dark spots/scarring? I would greatly appreciate it!
I am looking for some advice on concealing depressed acne scars. They are along my chin and right under my cheekbones (right where you would contour your face). Makeup actually tends to accentuate these scars more but there is no way I am a makeup free girl. Besides the scars, my face is very red and far from being flawless. I currently use Kat Von D foundation and am just wondering if there's something better. I love the coverage of it but of course aren't we always looking for something better. Does anyone have suggestions or experience with covering these types of scars? Its depressing when you finally get rid of embarrassing acne and then you're left with these horrible scars after you finally have a clear face.
hello im new to this board and i need some help which is better for eyeshadows. I like a natural look i decided between too faced chocolate bar or the tarte palette bow and go from qvc or ulta has it,too i don't like to much shimmer on my face i like the no make up look so can someone please help me choose. thank you
My daughter has been getting these very small, hard acne bumps in clusters around her face, especially her nose and eyebrow area. Any suggestions on what products will work with this type of acne? What is this type of acne? This is way different than the acne I (still) get. I am hoping to resolve this issue w/o the help of a derm, but I'm not opposed to taking her. HELP!
Dear All, Since I turned 40 I have been hyper sensitive about my uneven and oftentimes dull skin tone. As I have 6 children (who all bring their friends inside) + an 18 year old au pair (with perfect youthful skin), I can no longer bear to reveal my bare facial skin in the house. I have tried several Loreal options, but none seem to have the coverage/glow giving properties I desire (they do however work miracles for my teenage daughters). I've also tried Clinique's CC cream, but my under eyes still look dark, which is incredibly ageing; similar story with Estee Lauder's CC Cream. I love Estee Lauders Double Wear All Day Glow BB Cream for going out in the warmer months, but would ideally like something better priced for the house ... Any ideas? Do any of you wear a base in the house?
Ok, I just used the clarisonic for the first time 3 days ago. I'd been debating getting it for 2 years now for this very reason...but finally took the plunge hoping it would help me with my large pores/blackheads on my chin. I used the sensitive brush, and planned on using it just once a week until my skin got used to it. But now I'm wondering if I made a $150 mistake...I've got huge, cystic like bumps coming up on my chin, and even one under my eye on my cheekbone ( I NEVER break out there). What gives? Should I stop using it or just give it time? What was your experience with clarisonic?
