I typically wear a single shadow all over the lid and have only recently been experimenting with actually using a darker color in the crease. However, most of the matte brown shades i've tried in the crease tend to look too dark / harsh for me. So I'm looking for suggestions for a crease shade that is slightly darker than my skin tone and will go well with a simple champagne / taupe everyday shadow. I have fair skin with yellow undertone (ex. I wear the shade Gobi in the Nars sheer glow foundation). My go to everyday shadow colors are Stila Wheat, Urban Decay Sin, Mac Naked lunch and Burberry Pale Barley. I'm open to any brands, but I tend to like Stila, Urban Decay and Mac. I would particularly like a Mac suggestion since I'm placing an order withe them anyway (I was considering Soft Brown but I really think it's too dark for me - I was instead looking at Kid or Omega as possibilities).
I'm really interested in this long wearing foundation because I work long hours as a nurse and wear a mask in the operating room so that adds a challenge to wearing foundation 😀 I am a NW 20 and in Nars sheer glow which I'm wearing now I'm Santa Fe. But, I think it's a little dark, or its oxidizing in me. I am cool toned skin , but i also like wearing neutral toned foundation to toned down the redness on my cheeks. The concerns i have about the foundation is 1.1 looks very light but 2.1 looks too dark. The one in between looks too warm. Many help would be appreciated. Laura
We're blabbing about everything else these days, I figured I'd check in and see what people are watching when it comes to TV shows and movies! It would be foolish to think that this thread could remain spoiler free, so let's be courteous to one another and be sure to spoiler your spoilers. If you don't know how, it's that super adorable little yellow button on the toolbar, located to the right of the bold/italic/underline/strikeout buttons. DONT FORGET: If you happen to be the most recent post, your first sentence or two of your post will show up EVEN IF ITS IN A SPOILER. So please take care if you're going to go dropping spoiler bombs. Anywho... I just saw the movie PHOENIX last night and it was absolutely spectacular. Like Academy Award spectacular. If you're fortunate enough have showings in your area, I cannot urge you enough to go see it. So whatcha'll watchin' these days? What are you anxiously waiting for to start back up?
So I received a deluxe sample of this from one of those VIB/VIB Rouge promo codes. I am pretty sure this broke me out horribly about 2-3 weeks ago, my skin is still recovering. I started breaking out in little bumps all over my cheeks as well as some painful cystic pimples. The FAB radiance pads are really helping, but I was wondering if anyone else had a bad reaction to this? If so, did you end up figuring out what ingredient in this you don't react well with? I just don't want another break out like this again! http://www.sephora.com/soothing-cleansing-oil-P387 642?skuId=1642545&icid2=search_search_p387642_imag ...
I have oily skin and black heads and I need a good face wash that will work for oily skin and blackheads. I usually have to blot my face kid afternoon so anything that is good at soaking up oil would be great!
Hi, I just cant decide if I should use the gimme brow or anastasia wiz pencil and powder to do my eyebrows with. I tried all , and still not sure, although I didnt try the gimme brow the way I read you can use it to shape your brow also. And not sure about the light or dark shade in it as my hair is a medium brown, but eyebrows are dark brown.
Okay, this isn't a problem (I don't think) but I'm hoping someone can help explain it to me. Anytime I use a mask on my face - usually some kind of clay - once it's dried it looks as though it's sunk into my pores. Even dry, it's a different color on my nose and chin, where my pores are larger and more prominent. But when I wash it off, there's no mask residue left behind. Is it soaking up oil? Does this mean it's working? Thanks!
I have these red acne marks on my cheeks that I have had for a very long time. I've used many things but they don't seem to work. I also have these dark spots on my forehead that I can't get rid off. I'm currently using sheer transformation by ole henriksen but it does not seem to work. What products can I use for my brown and red spots?? Thank you!
Okay I have been getting these weird bumps on my face lately. I don't believe they're pimples, but they're small white bumps that I am not able to pop on my face. I'll attach a picture as to what they look like. Please help me figure out what they are! I need products to get rid of them because they are really annoying!!! As you can see I have 2 on my nose and one on my upper lip. They are just those small white bumps, but I don't know what they are! Help!
I have normal-dehydrated skin, and have never had a problem with acne. Lately I have been getting one sole pimple in the middle of either of my cheeks. When I have one on the left cheek, as soon as it goes away I get one on my right cheek. I can't figure out what is causing them. I change my bed sheets once a week and I never go to sleep without properly cleansing. Do I need to change my pillowcases more often? Any hypotheses or advice will help! Thanks
Hey everyone! I have an appointment with a dermatologist this weekend and I will hopefully be getting Accutane. I have been on it before but never took it properly or completed an entire course hence why I still suffer mild acne and breakouts I will ask for it this time and do it properly for the entire course, and hopefully kick my acne to the curb for good. Another problem is I am a product junkie and I am CONSTANTLY switching my skincare products. (Also why I have no idea what my skin type is anymore. Extremely acne prone but also get dry and flaky easily. Ugh. ) I am looking for cleanser/moisturizer recommendations for something I can use pre-Accutane, while on Accutane and post-Accutane! I know it's a tall order, but I just want to find my holy grails and stick to them. Accutane makes your skin thin and extremely sensitive and dry as well because it reduces oil production in your skin! I am also very sensitive to fragrances. THANK YOU!
hi! for school i dont really like wearing foundation but i also desire some coverage because i have a bit of acne i really want to try a BB cream that last longs and has a really nice finish, PLAY give me any good suggestions ?- i also have combination skin
I've used several acne treatment products and none of them have seemed to work. I break out easily and i have a lot of acne scars, so i was wondering if any of you could suggest some sort of face serum/skin treatment that would help with my problem.
I have really oily skin in my T-zone and several blackheads. Additionally, I have numerous acne scars on my cheeks that I would really like to fade. I also have mild acne, mostly on my cheeks and jawline.
Are you going to some exotic destination this summer? Post about all the products you are taking with you and where you plan to go! I desperately need to limit the beauty products I'm taking as I plan to only have a carry on!

I have these red spots on my face where I had a breakout when I was pregnant (a couple months ago). I have never had an issue with acne until pregnancy hormones. I'm not sure if this is still acne or if they are left over marks. Or how to treat it - I've tried Murad, PTR Sulphur Masque, Dennis Gross acne eliminating pads, and some acne face wash. I'm not really sure what else to do. They aren't really raised marks, I'm at a total loss.
I am looking at the following products and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or recommendations. I am looking to clear my skin up. I'm currently using the Murad acne kit but I don't care for it much. I also use a Foreo Luna so I want to make sure the cleanser can be used with that. I have combo skin that leans towards oily. Any dry spots I get are usually around my nose ring and my eyebrows. I have some pretty bad stomach issues & in between going to the doctor i"ve been told to try a detox. I never did because I'd always felt peculiar about them. Anyways - I finally decided to try it...& my face is HORRIBLE!!! Is this normal? Does this have anything to even do with it? Honestly, it just made me feel better just to blame it on something else rather than my skin just purely sucking! I also heard a cleanse would help my skin because I would be getting rid of all the gross yuck inside! Is this true? These are the products I'm using now (GENTLE! - I don't get it!) -Kate Sommerville Goatmilk Cleanser -Josie Maran - I switch back and forth between The Argan Oil, Face Butter, Day Moisturizer w/ SPF (mainly the SPF during the day & I'll add the oil if my face is pretty dry - it's been super dehydrated lately!) Kate Sommerville Exfolicate Wash - I just bought this yesterday bc once this is over I know I'm gonna need. Gotta be prepared! lol Bascailly - are these good products to be using during a time like this? Is there anything else I can do to help this issue?
