We're blabbing about everything else these days, I figured I'd check in and see what people are watching when it comes to TV shows and movies! It would be foolish to think that this thread could remain spoiler free, so let's be courteous to one another and be sure to spoiler your spoilers. If you don't know how, it's that super adorable little yellow button on the toolbar, located to the right of the bold/italic/underline/strikeout buttons. DONT FORGET: If you happen to be the most recent post, your first sentence or two of your post will show up EVEN IF ITS IN A SPOILER. So please take care if you're going to go dropping spoiler bombs. Anywho... I just saw the movie PHOENIX last night and it was absolutely spectacular. Like Academy Award spectacular. If you're fortunate enough have showings in your area, I cannot urge you enough to go see it. So whatcha'll watchin' these days? What are you anxiously waiting for to start back up?
I have sensitive, combination skin with a lot of hyperpigmentation from acne scars (no texture) and have been breaking out really badly on the lower half of my face for a few weeks. I ran out of the skincare products I was using and bought new EVERYTHING (cleanser, toner, moisturizer, serums, foundation, primer, etc). I've been using Glamglow facewash (white bottle, mud to foam), Ole truth serum, Strivectin eye cream (even though I'm 20, I want to prevent wrinkles. Lol), and a combo of Yes-to-cucumbers and Yes-to-cotton moisturizers after using witch hazel as my toner before the serum. Some nights I use the Sephora overnight mask or Estee Edit night moisturzer, and I use the Ole pore sauna scrub weekly along with different charcoal/acne masks. I use Too Faced born this way foundation over MUF Step One, and sometimes Dr. Brandt pores no more but I thought it irritated my skin. I don't know where to start fixing my skin. Help!!
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone is also experiencing horrible purging / breakouts after start using Drunk Elephant products? I've started using the Drunk Elephant T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial once a week, TLC Farmboos Glycolic Night serum every other night and Vitamin C serum every night for two weeks now, I am having horrible breakouts!! I am not sure which product is causing this massive breakouts? When I apply those products, I didn't feel any tingle, stinging sensation and my skin didn't feel sensitive or red at all, so I don't think it's irritating my skin. I have combination skin with t zone area that's acne prone, now I have big painful pimples on my chin, close to my lips, side of nose ! when some of them are gone, it left a big dark mark on my skin. Anyone experience the same thing after using Drunk Elephant products? I would love to hear your experiences and advice. I am 44 years old, I have not had pimple this frequent since I was in my 20s. sigh... (T__T)
Alright ladies, enable my next purchase. I've been using Effaclar Duo to treat my blackheads/sebaceous filaments and the occasional pimple, but it wasn't the perfect treatment and my tube expired. So, what should I get? I know Kate Somerville Eradikate is highly recommended for spot treatment, but I would prefer to get something that multitasks for both of my acne skincare concerns. I've tried the Murad Pore Refining Serum, but I wasn't crazy about it.
Hello! I was hoping you guys could help me figure out if i'm purging or having a bad reaction to the Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum. I started it on Tuesday, using it every second morning. I have since broken out in four new pimples and one that was barely there when I started has come to the surface. I know that Vitamin C can cause a purging like this and I was just hoping for some help determining if that's what's happening. I would really like to know before I use it for a month and totally wreck my face (it scars really easily unfortunately). Thanks in advance!
Ok, Sooooo idk if i'd really call it acne BUT for the past 1-2 years I have been getting these small little bumps on my face and idk what to use to clear them. I have never had acne or anything before. Now I am in my late twenties. My cheeks are red it looks like rosacea and the bumps are small on my cheeks and forehead. Also I have dry sensitive skin. HELP MEEEEE! thx Spoiler (Highlight to read)
My makeup is never oily when I leave the house, and despite trying different foundations and setting sprays/powders, I cannot see to keep my skin from being an oily beast 6-8 hours into my day. I have tried Urban Decay's Naked Skin and Smashbox's water-based BB-cream as well as Tarte's setting spray and Smashbpx's photo-ready filter water. I am currently using the Sephora brand foundation and Laura Mercier setting powder, but I still have this problem. Any suggestions?
I'm a teen and I constantly have breakouts on my cheeks and between my eyebrows. I've tried lots of products, (I use them for a few months before I judge them,) and none of them do anything for me! Not only do I get pimples, but I also have scars left over from previous breakouts. Help! What do I use? Any tips?
I am looking for the best treatment for acne scars. I used to break out really bad as a teenager and of course picked at it, because what 16 year old doesn't. Anyone have any luck with their regiment to treat acne scars. I have looked into going to get this professionally done, but if I can do it at home where its more convenient, I would much rather do that. I personally, have combination skin, fairly light, so the scars show up pretty easily. Any advice is welcomed Thank you!
My skin has been a mess for the past three months and I feel like I've tried everything. Any recommendations to clear my acne up would be so appreciated! Here's my current routine: AM: tone with Lush Tea Tree Water, Josie Maran argan whipped face butter, and the NARs tinted moisturizer spf 30 PM: wash with Youth to the people cleanser, Kate Somerville Anti Bac benzoyl peroxide treatment, and Ole Henriksen invigorating night creme OR Josie Maran light argan oil I have tried Paula's Choice 2% BHA, Belief aqua bomb, Ole Henriksen find your balance cleanser, Ole Henriksen find your balance toner, most Murad products (the post acne spot serum worked, but its recommended to stop use after 3 months), Tarte maracuja oil, Kate Somerville eradikate cleanser, Ole Henriksen invigorating night treatment, Ole Henriksen truth serum, etc. I feel like I've tried it all. I'm even on spironolactone which totally cleared my skin last year when I first started it. I did stop using a benzoyl peroxide/clindamycin treatment back in November that I was on for 10 years, but I wouldn't think it'd take 3 months for my skin to break out again. But my skin was clearest on spiro and benzoyl peroxide/clindamycin. So now I've introduced the Kate anti bac and have seen some results, however I'm so dry and still getting new break outs. I am desperate for any advice. I've spent these last 3 months with trial and error
I'm looking for a new face wash for night time, I currently use PTR Glycolic Acid 3% facial wash, but am looking for something different. I have a few in mind which I pictured below. I have oily skin with tons of acne scars, with the occasional hormonal break out, i also sometimes use my clarisonic 1-3 times per week. Love a good light exfoliating face wash as well as hydrating!! I'm leaning towards Ole but I love PTR and Ren has great reviews and says its gentle which i love and omg I can't decide. Please help and leave any other suggestions!!
My son has really bad eczema and I need help finding something that will relieve the symptoms i.e. itching. I want to go organic because I understand that product with less ingredients usually come with less potential side effects. Help Please!!
Hi all, I recently got that awesome Tarte Mother Nature's Miracle Discovery Set and I've been playing around with all the products. My skin has been breaking out, but I'm not sure if it's purging due to the new products or the products don't work for me. I have a history of cystic prone acne but the past year my skin has been amazing, so I wasn't too concerned at first. I've read that the maracuja oil is incredible for acne prone skin so I'm not sure what's going on! Other than the small breakouts, my skin feels velvety soft and softened already. I really want to keep using this product, so if anyone has had a similar experience, I'd love to know!
I've been struggling with cystic acne on my cheeks and it's been driving me insane because it always leaves an actual scar no matter how gentle I am. While I know that products at Sephora can't help with physical scars, I do want to prevent the acne so I can prevent more scarring. Please let me know if you know of any products that work well for this type of acne! I have oily (stubborn, in general) skin and clogged pores here and there. I've heard of the Renee Rouleau Anti Cyst treatment being good but you can't buy that at Sephora.
I had really bad acne up until 2 years ago. I don't have problems with the acne anymore, because I have made major adjustments to my diet. However, I am having trouble getting rid of some of the spots that the acne left. What is the best product for this problem?
Hi guys. I have oily skin so I've been using the Josie Maran argon oil for a couple months now and its definitely made me less oily but I feel as if it may be clogging my pores and causing breakouts since it is a little heavy. I only use it at night but what do yall think of the light version? Thanks a ton!
I have clogged pores on my chin and blackheads on my nose. The biore nose strips or face strips never worked on them. I don't get much pimples and my skin isn't dry or oily. I need something that will help get rid the blackheads and clogged pores, I have a cheap olay facial cleaner like the electric brush. It dosn't work. I also tried the youinge charcoal mask, it did nothing.
Hello everyone, I am looking for a sunscreen for my face that goes nicely under makeup. I have very dry and reactive skin. I do have mild rosacea that sometimes becomes sever acne rosacea. I have tried chemical sunscreens such as Lancome and La Roche Posay, but my skin doesn't tolerate them as well as it used to. I am allergic to an ingredient in Frist Aid Beauty and cannot use their products. I have looked at Josie Maran's SPF, but it contains beeswax and I am allergic to beeswax. Please keep in mind that I live in Canada and do not have access to a lot of sunscreens normally recommended such Drunk Elephant and MDSolarScience. Does anyone with rosacea and severely reactive and allergic prone skin have any recommendations? Preferably a mineral sunscreen. I am on a medication that makes me sensitive to the sun and has caused my skin issues (any my allergy to beeswax!) Therefore sunscreen is really important, and I am looking for one that will not affect the look of my foundation. Thank you!
I know that Sephora doesn't sell Illamasqua anymore, Nordstrom never has, and now I see that it is no longer on Bloomingdales website. Does anyone know where Illamasqua can be found in the States? I am definitely not paying international shipping from the UK.
Hey guys! I have dry and sensitive, acne-prone skin, and I'm always looking for new cleansing oils because I've not found my favorite yet. So far I've used The Face Shop Rice Water Cleansing oils and KOSE Softly Mu Cleansing oil which are more affordable. I've used BanilaCo Clean It Zero and Heimish Cleansing Balm, but I have a Newfoundland dog so his hair gets EVERYWHERE in products in tubs so I prefer pumps...hence a preference for cleansing oils. Thanks!
