I had some pretty bad acne the past 3-4 months which prior to that I usually had pretty clear skin. It was just on my jawline and now that it's gone i'm left with scarring. Are there any products like face masks, or whatever that actually will help clear the scarring or am I pretty much screwed unless I get some kind of laser treatment or something?
I have very oily skin and have struggled a lot with my acne. My makeup will never stay on and will usually be gone within 2-3 hours. I'm looking for a foundation that will give me a full coverage for my acne and will also be very long-lasting even through heat and humidity.
My skin is used to be pretty clear and I would only get an occasional pimple or two on my jawline or chin. About the past 3 months or so I have been getting more and more acne and whiteheads along my jawline. I dont know if it is because I started using a new foundation ( loreal Infallible pro matte) or I started using the laura mercier hydrating primer ( I dont use it every day though maybe only 1-2x a week) which those two are the only new product I have been using since the breakouts have occurred or if its just hormonal acne. My routine now just consists of using simple micellar makeup remover wipes to remove my makeup then I will either use my clarisonic with cetaphil face wash or boscia purifying cleansing gel. Then 1-2x a week I use the glam glow youth mud mask. Besides those products which aren't helping much with clearing the acne all they mostly do is make my face feel clean and refreshed what are the best products I could use to help clear it up and also to help clear some of the scarring it has caused?
For about the last 8 weeks, I've been struggling with tiny whiteheads (clogged pores) showing up on my forehead. I've never had this issue before and overall I don't have bad skin so I don't really know what to do to treat this. After some reading, I purchased the Sephora Brand Purifying & Mattifying Mud Mask. I used it on a Monday afternoon and woke up Tuesday morning to a forehead full of new tiny whiteheads, more than I had before. There were more new ones when I woke up the next day, even though I hadn't used the mask again. Is this normal because the mask is supposed to be purifying and detoxing the skin? With consistent use 1-2 times a week, will that stop happening?
I'm going to the Philippines next month where the climate is extremely hot and humid. My current BB creams didn't last more than an hour when I went to warm California, but they work fine in the cooler climate that I experience at the east coast. Since they didn't work in a place like California, I'm assuming they also won't work in a much hotter and even more humid climate. So, does anyone have recommendations for a BB cream, CC cream, or foundation (i prefer bb or cc creams since I don't need too much coverage, but I'll take anything that lasts in these conditions) that work really well in Asia's hot and humid climate? Price and brand don't matter to me, but I usually use drugstore face products, so drugstore suggestions would be great.
IVE BEEN BRAKING OUT LATELY AND STARTED USING PROACTIVE THE PROBLEM IS IT STARTED TO DRY MY FACE OUT SO BAD! TO THE POINT WHERE MY FACE STARTED PEELING. NOW WHEN I WEAR FONDATION IT CREASES REALLY BAD UNDER MY EYES , CROWS FEET AND SMILE LINES. ANNYTHING OUT THERE THAT MIGHT HELP? TYI!!
Hi! I am looking for a new foundation and think I have decided on YSL's Touche Eclat. I apparently have pretty sensitive skin as I have tried Armani Luminous Glow, Laura Mercier's foundation and tinted moisturizer, and Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water and they all gave me either full on break outs or tiny bumps all over my forehead. Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua was actually ok, but it didn't provide much cover. Has anyone else with sensitive skin used YSL's foundation? Thanks!
Hi! Ok I apologize for the possible rambling ahead. I need an entire new skin care and makeup routine. For the past 3 months or so my face has gone to hell! It started with those tiny bumps on my forehead and chin area, then my pores got larger, and now I have full on breakouts on my cheeks. I don’t know if it’s hormonal or what- I have had 2 babies in the past 3 years, stopped breastfeeding completely about 7 months ago, and currently have the Mirena IUD.. Getting the IUD out isn’t really an option I’m wanting to explore yet (I am horrible at taking the pill). I was prescribed Ziana by my dermatologist- it worked for about 6 months and then I feel like it stopped working. So right now I am using Cetaphil Oil Control Foam Wash and their Daily Facial Moisturizer. Since starting the was my face has gotten really irritated, red and dry and my breakouts haven’t changed at all. I use the Glam Glow Supermud twice a week, and that will help with the little bumps, but they always come back.. which makes me think it could be my makeup. I use Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation and that’s about it. I’ve been doing some research and think I know what I want to get, but I am also afraid that I will be too harsh on my skin. My face has become quite oily the past couple months whereas before it was normal/combination. This is what I’m thinking of, I can’t decide on which moisturizer would be good so any suggestions are appreciated: Skin Care- First Air Beauty Cleanser Sunday Riley Good Genes Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil Glam Glow Supermud Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel Makeup- YSL Touche Eclat foundation Sorry for my long post, I am clueless when it comes to anything beauty related. I really appreciate any and all help/suggestions. Thank you!
I'm a 19 year old college student and I have dry skin and my face gets red and little bumps under my skin, a couple red pimples sometimes massive but usually a medium size and acne scares and large pores. I am currently using first aid beauty facial cleanser with my mia Clarisonic and I moisturize with Cerave face lotion but my skin has been getting worse ever since I got back to school. Any recommendations for these issues?
I have been using the first aid beauty cleanser for 2 years and it worked great! Now I am noticing small bumps on my face, when I pick ( I know I shouldn't) they are black head type bumps. What should I try? My skin in very sensitive and more on the dry side, with an oily nose. I don't know what to do.
Hey everyone, I'm looking for a skincare product that would help with combination of issues. I typically use the clique 3 step products but every once in a while I'll have a flair up of bumps on my chin. Anyone have products that work to help with intense flair ups?
Any suggestions for someone with dehydrated, allergic skin who also gets breakouts, blackheads, and the occasional sub surface bump. I react in the form of eczema to many ingredients and don't do well with natural products. Fragrance really bothers my skin as well.
Does anyone else have a problem with cystic acne? I don't get little bumps any more but a few large, painful spots that take FOREVER to go away. I'm 21, and never had a huge problem with acne, but this is just awful. I know that stress has a lot to do with it, but I'm sure my skincare routine could use some work. Does this bother anyone else? Can anyone make a recommendation?
Can anyone help me with these frustrating little blemishes under my eyes that will NOT go away?!? I feel like I do everything right but these guys will not budge. They aren't like my usual pimples. They are much smaller, hard and raised. The spot treatments that work for me do not work on these guys. I do exfoliate once or twice a week, I charcoal mask once a week. I cleanse daily, I do not wear makeup on a typical day. What could I be doing wrong? What should I try??? I'm so sick of these things! heres a photo except sorry about it being sideways and I'm shiny because I just put on my night creams
I have noticed that I suddenly broke out very bad on my chest, neck, and shoulders. I am still trying to figure out why...and I think it might be because of the seasons changing, and the weather. I dab tea tree oil on the blemishes morning, and night. I have tried benzoyl peroxide, and sulfer as well. Nothing seems to really be helping. Any suggestions? Thank You.
Hi, I do not understand few things. I have tried few products from Sephora and a lot from Korean brands. When they are non-Korean brands they are hurting my face a lot. For example, Kate Somerville, Ole Henriksen's products, they hurt me a lot. However, when I use korean brands such as all Faceshop products, it's skin, Laneige, etc, they are a lot smoother, so I wonder why does it do this to me! And if I should be restricted to only buy from Korean brands. thanks!
Hi everyone! I've been thinking of purchasing a toner, but I have no idea what to try. I was going to buy a Clinique toner, but a sales associate at sephora told me it would be too harsh on my skin. I have acne prone and sensitive skin, so I am always conscious about what I put on my face. I do use a prescription from my dermatologist, not sure if that matters or not! I would also like to avoid something that dries out my skin, I've finally gotten my dryness under control. I'd appreciate the help! Thanks!
Hello. I'm in my mid 30's and want to switch to a natural line. I break out daily all over and its worse during my period. I would like to stay within the same line. Which line would work best for me: Tata Harper, Drunk Elephant, or Sunday Riley?
