I’m a 25 years old male with some skin problems and I was hoping I could get some answers here and recommendations on products to use. I have comb skin but I think my face is mostly on the oily side. I have large pores and I have uneven texture on my skin. I just think my skin doesn’t look very healthy. I have decided to get the CLARINS One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Facial Cleanser and use that with the Clarisonic Mia 2 and then use the Thayers Alcohol-free Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera and apply the ESTÉE LAUDER New Dimension Shape + Fill Expert Serum as the final step . Would this help with my skin condition? Any other products that might help me? I have uploaded some pictures of my skin. What seems to be wrong with my skin? are these large pores? I have also noticed I have small bumps on my skin that look like acne and have a yellowish liquid inside. It’s not a white head but more like a pimple that doesn’t get bigger. And when i apply pressure anywhere on my face i get these small yellowsh/white worm looking liquid coming out.
I think I've had it since about Friday. It started off normally. It was red and I figured it was clogged under the skin so I tried to see if anything would come out if i squeezed it gently. The next day holyyyy mooooly. It literally looks like a huge red welt. It's very inflamed. It's on my cheek right beneath my under eye circles. You can tell that it's visibly raised compared to the other side and it hurts when I touch it lightly. It's gotten a little bit better, less redness and less inflammation but it still looks like the zit from hell. I'm not sure if it's a cluster of severely clogged pores or if I'm drifting into having an infection. I haven't had anything this bad in years. I'm not sure what else I could do or use to heal it and to finally release the buildup of god knows whats inside it. I had a really stressful week last week and I broke the heck out in so many different ways from having two cold sores on my lips to little pimples all over my face. The little ones are gone and most of the really bad ones look a lot better except for the weird one that I'm still having issues with.
😢 My Mom is now in Heaven with my Dad. She EARNED that place in Heaven Every Day Of Her Life. Now it is eternal peace for her in an unbroken body. She missed my amazing Father terribly. More update/info on original "911" thread, think it may be in 'Off-Topic' section. Hope this can stay here a while, I need even more prayers now.....dealing with the not so nice and ALWAYS ready for a fight sibs. No Mom to defend and hug me. 😢 Thanks everyone.
I have tried nearly every acne product out there. I just got some make up forever samples and they made the barely there, not a huge deal break out but still noticeable 100 times worse to a major breakout. I have oily skin that can look dry at times. I don't know. What skin care products are recommended? My acne has been nearly cystic in the past but lately it has been under control. I am 18, nearly 19 btw. It is just the past few weeks that it has started to flare up and today is when I noticed that it had gotten really bad.
every foundation i have tried breaks me out. The recent one i tried as recommended by someone at sephora was the new smashbox water bb which I love but I find I have new pimples coming through after use and my skin was clear. My go to has been a foundation by Lancome but if I use it for two days in a row I will see new blemishes. So frustrating. Need a foundation with no ingredients that will contribute to break outs or clog pores!! What foundations are an option!1
Hi there, I'm looking for recommendations to hide pitted acne scars? I've used a variety primers + the Laura Mercier powder foundation and it is usually great for the first few hours, but soon everything settles into my acne scars . Any advice for a good foundation or primer that helps with this problem would be great! Thank you in advance!
So I placed an order on August 31st and the package never came even though the tracking number said it was delivered at 8.40 pm. I was at home at the time and nobody knocked on the door to deliver it nor did I hear any trucks coming in. I checked my porch and front door - the package wasn't there. I assumed it was stolen, called customer service and they said they would contact UPS and that the latter would get in touch with me (they never did) Yesterday, September 30th, I came home and noticed the package on the porch. I was really excited because it had a promo I had been wanting to try , Luna night oil. The package was slightly covered in dust and earth but had no signs of exposure to water so it could not have been there for a month and I just did not see it. Has this ever happened to anyone?
Hey! I'm in my mid twenties and battle acne more now than as a teenager, I mean its not terrible but its always there even if just a little bit. I've finally got a makeup remover( Makeup Break Up by Boscia) and cleanser (Murad clarifying cleanser) that I like but I can't find a moisturizer or primer I love. There are so many to try and chose from. I'm not a huge fan of the Smasbox primers surprisingly but I did like the hourglass primer. I really need a primer, and night and day moisturizers! Thanks!!!!
I'm not sure what the issue is but this has been the third time that I went to Sephora and had an issue with them looking up my account via EMAIL, NAME, DOB, AND PHONE NUMBER. I lost my VIB card but never had an issue with it being looked up and now it is. It kind of is annoying cause I can't get my points right away and we spend an extra 15 min re-typing and trying to figure it out and the cash register. Is there any explanation as to why ? Also need to add my purchase/points to my account ...I have the receipt.
So I started using the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, but I don't know if its making me breakout ? has anyone else had this problem with this foundation I haven't really changed anything else in my routine. so please let me know if this has happened with anyone else. My skin is combination and i seem to get hormonal acne( but now it seems random breakouts) more often.
Looking for some suggestions on what to buy from Tarte! The Gilt GC (mine is the $60 one) expires this Sunday, and I still don't know what I want. I waited for the holiday collection to release, but I am not drawn to any one thing. What is everyone planning to use theirs for? I was thinking maybe either the Showstopper or Rainforest after Dark? Or perhaps a set of items?
We're blabbing about everything else these days, I figured I'd check in and see what people are watching when it comes to TV shows and movies! It would be foolish to think that this thread could remain spoiler free, so let's be courteous to one another and be sure to spoiler your spoilers. If you don't know how, it's that super adorable little yellow button on the toolbar, located to the right of the bold/italic/underline/strikeout buttons. DONT FORGET: If you happen to be the most recent post, your first sentence or two of your post will show up EVEN IF ITS IN A SPOILER. So please take care if you're going to go dropping spoiler bombs. Anywho... I just saw the movie PHOENIX last night and it was absolutely spectacular. Like Academy Award spectacular. If you're fortunate enough have showings in your area, I cannot urge you enough to go see it. So whatcha'll watchin' these days? What are you anxiously waiting for to start back up?
I recently went to my local sephora store and one of the cast members told me that there might not be a vib rouge november 2015 sale because apprently people were taking advantange of the past rouge sales and returning everything to get the full refund. does anybody know any details regarding the november sale?
Good morning ladies, I am looking for some recommendations (drugstore and/or high end) for a good serum to go with my skincare routine. I'm thinking I want something very lightweight that absorbs fast, can be used under my moisturizer, and that has a lot of ingredients that promote healing. I break out easy so it can't have an oily texture (I currently use Clinique's dramatically different gel because the regular formula causes acne flare-ups), and because I'm using topical prescription retinol, it shouldn't have any harsher ingredients like BHAs, AHAs or alcohols.
Hello, I am 26 going on 27 with excessive oily skin and routine acne flare ups. (I eat right and try to do everything in my power to balance my hormones btw). I was wondering what makeup someone could recommend, if I regularly take photos. (I would rather be camera ready, than not) And also, what proper skin care routine should I do/use since I wear makeup and am prone to clogged pores, while being cautious of anti-aging. thank you, Ashley
Hi Everyone! I'm new to Beauty Talk so please bear with me. I was wondering if you could all help me find a liquid foundation that I can use for everyday. Something light on the skin as I am after the natural look. I don't really like heavy make up for everyday as I have oily and acne prone skin... and I am acidic. So sometimes, depending on the brand (like Benefit and Laura Mercier), the foundation oxidizes on my face and turns a shade darker after a couple of hours. I don't really need full coverage even if I have acne/blemishes because my concealer could take care of them. (My real issue is really my dark circles. I have been using NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer but I feel there may be a better one out there.) I really loved Make Up Forever's Face and Body liquid foundation because when I have it on, it looked like I'm not wearing any foundation at all. I don't know why Sephora don't carry them anymore in stores, except online. MAC's Face and Body is also great but I was wondering if you have any other suggestions. I have Smashbox's Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear right now and its great! However I feel this is the type of foundation I prefer using on date nights or a special occasion. P.S. Please do throw in suggestions for moisturizers and cleansers for my skin type if you have any! Hope to hear from you all! Thanks!
I was just prescribed Differin cream 0.1% for acne. The dr also prescribed sulfacetamide sodium 8% -sulfur 4% suspension which is like a light lotion that you rub into your skin and then wash off after a few minutes. I was wondering if anyone had used either of these and if you could share your experience of it's effect on your skin. I'd also like to know what other skincare products you used with it to keep your skin nice. Thanks!
Hi! I've been looking for a thread that showed several bardcodes that you can take into a Sephora inside JC Penny stores to redeem freebies. I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have the link? Thanks so much in advance!
HI! I recently was prescribed an oral medication and Epiduo for my skin. So, now I am trying to find just a simple cleanser & moisturizer since I am getting treatment from the Epiduo and oral medication. I have combination/oily skin! Thank you, thank you!
I need a new face wash and I am debating between purchasing Philosophy's Purity Made Simple or Ole Henriksen's African Red Tea foaming cleanser. I have true combination skin. Some parts of my face are oily and some are dry, however I am finding that my face has been a little dryer lately. Which one should I buy?
