Every time I pluck the odd hair on my chin or on my eyebrows I get a pimple . It's so upsetting, I've tried applying alcohol to my skin afterwards but my skin is so sensitive I have to wash it off before it starts to burn. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem?
So I have a really big event coming up in about a month and I really want to get rid of my acne scars since I hate the look of make-up caked onto my face (I have super oily skin so it is always noticeable) My routine right now is fairly simple. I wipe off make up with tea tree oil wipes I wash with Jack Black's deep dive moisturize with Origin's Night-a-mins and use glamglow supermud clearing treatment twice a week What products do you reccomend me adding/switching?
I started using my clarisonic a month ago with the sensitive brush head, once a night. I developed small pimples on my forehead and cheeks about two weeks into it. Now, I have weird bumps just about all over my face that are slightly itchy. They seem to be under the skin everywhere. It's very upsetting being that some people are getting improved texture from the clarisonic and mine is horrible. I switched to the delicate brush two days ago but it feels just as rough and I haven't noticed a difference? Do you think these bumps are from irritation? Has this happened to any of you? Do any of you use the delicate brush and has it made a difference? PLEASE HELP
i HAVE A SAMPLE OF JOSIE MORAN ARGAN OIL AND WAS WONDERING IF I CAN MIX A LITTLE OF THAT WITH MY MOISTURIZER . i JUST DON'T WANT TO PUT OIL STRAIGHT ON MY SKIN I THINK IT MIGHT BE TO GREASY FOR MY SKIN.
I was reading on another forum that volumizing shampoo can really dry your hair. Is this really true i was gonna buy some volumizing shampoo to add volume to my flat fine hear and it is color treated and hightlighted i want to soften it not not dry it out more. If someone can answer that question for me that would be great and save me a whole lot of money too. thanks.
I only use Proactive + in the mornings when I know I will be inside.(When I'm outside I use just SPF) I only use the Pore targeting Treatment and the Complexion perfecting Hydrator. I don't use the cleanser because it is too harsh for my skin. I have oily skin and the Proactive does not help with that, but it helps with my acne, so I still use it, I just make sure to carry blotting papers with me. I wanted to put the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster with it to help with the sun damage I have. Will that be ok for my Acne Prone, sun damaged, oily skin? Or will they counteract each other and be ineffective, or would it be to harsh on my skin?
UGH--so busy today and didn't get a chance to check out the sale section today There was a huge markdown on the Tarte cheek stain set and the MUFE set but it looks like its out of stock already! Still--lots of other goodies at great prices there! Lots off OCC and the some Smashbox LE items
I have been struggling to find a good face wash for my face and I was wanting some advice as to what all you beautiful ladies out there do to keep your skin clear and acne free. Right now I am using Kate Somerville detox daily cleanser and I have been starting to break out badly on my forehead and chin. I also use clean and clear advantage spot and it has not been working very well on my stubborn pimples and break outs. I have been feeling very overwhelmed with all the products out there and I know it is going to take some time for me to find what works, but if any one has any advice as to what they do that would be great! I have oily skin and I tend to break out on my forehead and chin. And when I get pimples or breakouts, they are the huge, red, painful ones that hurt!

Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu Power C x 30™ Vitamin C Brightening Sleeping Mask Yes or no while on Accutane? I have acne scars left over from my Acne. I am still in my first month of Accutane. Or do you have any other product reccomendations for acne scars? I have asked my dermatologist if I need to avoid certain products and all she said was to avoid topical treatments. I have had to change my skin care because my skin was getting irritated from my Fresh Soy cleanser as well as the Korres rose+vitamin C sleeping facial. I am now using the Boscia cool cleaning oil and the Korres greek yogurt moisturizers. If you guys have any other suggestions please let me know thank you!
Since I have super sensitive acne-prone skin and break out to kinda every product, I'm really concerned ingredients before any purchases. I heard stearic acid clogs pores and Shea butter also cause acne. But most of product including moisturizers and foundation contains stearic acid. As I mentioned above, I have very sensitive breakouts-prone skin and very dehydrated oily combo skin ( I think). I want to know what ingredients cause break outs and what specific ingredient I should avoid. If you have knowledge of any of these, please help me!!
So, i have purchased the famous hollywood glam mask and i really have a small white head condition around my chin area. I have used it four times now and the only time i see a difference is right after the use. Dont see any impovement and would like to return it since it isnt cheap. Can i ?
Has anyone had any experience with either a prescription retinoid or salicylic acid treatment? Which one do you prefer? I was using Tazorac 0.05% gel for almost half a year, albeit infrequently (every three days or so) since it causes my skin to be red, flaky, and extremely sensitive if I use it so often. Two weeks ago, I stopped the Tazorac and have instead been using Paula's Choice 4% BHA foam, which may be helping more than the Tazorac. I use the BHA daily since my skin seems to be able to tolerate it better. I used many different retinoids before (Differin, Atralin, Retin-A Micro) and I don't think any of them improved my skin much. However, given the research that shows anti-aging benefits, I've can't help but want to be able to incorporate them into my skincare routine. I still have two Tazorac tubes left so after my skin calms down from a recent bad breakout, I want to start using it again. Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated!
I need help for my fiancé. He has terrible acne- he is 26 but has as much acne now as he did as a teenager. I'm convinced that a good Skincare routine will help a lot. He has been to dermatologists, but most of the prescription strength products are too irritating for him. I think it is a combination of hormonal and stress acne. He has dry, flaky skin over most of his face, an oily t-zone, and wrinkles around his eyes and forehead. Please help me out with Skincare routine suggestions! We are not vain people, but I know he is a little self conscious about the acne. We are taking engagement pictures in 2 months and getting married later in the year and I want him to feel great about all the pictures. Thanks!!
My son, who recently turned 11 now has little tiny pimples all over his forehead, cheeks, etc. They are flat, not red irritated acne type. Puberty is right around the corner and he has been growing like crazy and crabbier too. He has been good (mostly) about not picking at them. I gave him an acne facewash and benzoil peroxide pads to use after washing his face. He is doing in twice per day and not seeing much change. I'm figuring he is in for acne at some point since he Dad and I both had it (I got accutane at 30 and plan to take him in for it if his acne gets bad). Just looking for recommendations right now that might help with the little pimples. Thanks!
i see some nice fall palettes from smashbox i have never used this line before but i would like to get some of the new stuff they have out now for the fall i love the colors but not sure of the quality and if worth spending the money on this line please someone give me some suggetions thanks.
I use proactiv+ to help with all my break outs. I have always used baby wipes to remove my make up because they work (even on waterproof make up) & I can get a ton for $3, but I'm starting to worry it's not taking off enough of my make up which is why I'm still having little bit bumps every now and then. Does anyone have any opinions on which make up removers really made a difference for them?
I have been using Proactiv regimen for many years now. I am wanting to try something new so that I can buy it only when I need it, and hopefully do a better job and save some money. I have acne, not terrible but it was bad when I was younger. I have scarring on my forehead. My skin is mostly oily, especially in the T zone. I get mostly blackheads, on nose and chin, but other acne as well, not really whiteheads, but the flesh colored bumps that are full of white stuff. I don't really know where to start or what I need. I don't use mosturizer because my skin is so oily and it tends to make it even more so. I need help with a regimen or whatever it is I need to cleanse my face and prevent future acne. Thanks
Okay, folks, so here's the deal! I need a new facial moisturizer. I'm running low on my jar of FAB Ultra Repair Cream, and I'm pretty sure it's a bit too heavy for my hormonal skin. I've been suffering from an influx of acne spots and whiteheads that I'm struggling to control without pregnancy no-nos. The ingredients I'm looking to avoid in my skincare ritual are: Vitamin A (aka Retinyl Palmitate, Retinol, Retinoids and its derivatives) Salicylic Acid (My doctor did OK low percentages - 1% or less - but I'd like to minimize use if possible. Sadly, my skin isn't agreeing with the lack of BHA!) Benzoyl Peroxide What I would like is a lightweight moisturizer that absorbs quickly and won't further clog up my congested skin, preferably for $50 or less (the more budget-friendly, the better). I'd also like a serum or a treatment that can help to clear out my sad pregnancy skin without the use of Salicylic Acid. My current skincare routine is as follows: -Cleanse with Philosophy's Purity Cleanser. Double-cleanse if I'm wearing makeup that day. (I am considering a switch to Boscia Makeup Breakup Oil and Clarifying Cleanser, but I still have a lot to go before I need a refill.) -Tone with Michael Todd Organics Blue-Green Algae Toner -Apply Algenist Complete Renewal Eye Balm -Apply Boscia Tsubaki Oil in the morning. Allow to set in and apply lip balm. -In the evening, I currently use Ole Henriksen's Invigorating Night Gel after toning. I really like this product and I don't believe it is the source of my skin aggravation. I also like that it is working to brighten my old acne scars. -I follow up the OH Invigorating Night Gel with a light application PTR hydrating mask (rose or cucumber) or FAB Ultra Repair Cream. The gel alone does not appear to be enough hydration for my skin, as when I tried to omit an extra layer of moisturizer, my skin flakes and peels. Twice per week I use a face mask. Right now it is Origins Charcoal Mask. I also exfoliate with Exfolikate twice per week on days that I'm not using my mask; I skip the invigorating night gel on days when I exfoliate. I need to reorder some Exfolikate as well! Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. I have referenced MakeupByTiffanyD's pregnancy skincare ritual and I also follow EmilyNoel... but I'm not sure I have the same concerns as them, and I don't want to completely switch over to everything Tiffany D is using because that would require purging my entire skincare line. Thanks everyone for the help!
