I have been using obagi gel cleanser for 3 years and it's a good cleanser however I still have breakouts, blackheads and oily skin. I also use retin a so I do not like cleansers with active ingredients. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Hello! I was hoping you guys could help me figure out if i'm purging or having a bad reaction to the Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum. I started it on Tuesday, using it every second morning. I have since broken out in four new pimples and one that was barely there when I started has come to the surface. I know that Vitamin C can cause a purging like this and I was just hoping for some help determining if that's what's happening. I would really like to know before I use it for a month and totally wreck my face (it scars really easily unfortunately). Thanks in advance!
I am extremely disappointed in Sephora. After all the money spent online and in stores, the only times I've ever really gotten samples is when ordering online. I thought the only time I got samples is when I did order online. As someone said, you shouldn't have to ask for samples when shopping in stores. So the only way for me to get samples is to PAY $10 a month for the Play box! So disappointing!!
I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to Sephora and Sol de Janeiro for sending me the original Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and the new Acai Body Power Cream au gratis! I have never tried the Bum Bum Cream but have heard amazing things, and am so excited to have the chance to try the new version as the same time. They both smell quite nice! The Bum Bum Cream is slightly tropical but in no way overpowering, and the Acai Body has a fresh, almost pine, sweet forest scent. Both are in no way greasy. I think these will make a nice addition to my body care collection!
Hey everyone, I'm new here looking for some advice for my skin. I've always had acne, until 2 years ago. I had perfect skin, minimal breakouts. Somehow since mid August of 2016 I have started breakout like crazy, not severe, but somewhat concerning for me since I haven't had my face like this since I was a teenager. Anyways was wondering what do you recommend for my type of skin? I was using Murad Clarifying Cleanser, but now my skin gets really dry after and I get this tight feeling. I was using this product before my acne started happening. I changed it up and started using Purity from Philosophy, same thing, this cleanser left my face like squeaky rubber, Then I recently started trying Clarins Orange Exfoliating cleanser and it does help me out tremendously since my bumps decrease in size after using and keeps my skin clear, but it still leaves me somewhat dry. Regarding on the moisturizer I've been using Garnier Moisture Rescue Refresh. What can I do to return moisture in my face? Or is there a routine I could follow including the Murad and Clarins to see if that keeps things under control?
Anyone have any experiences with tretinoin cream? I've been using 0.05 for almost a month now every night and my skin keeps looking worse and worse everyday. So much more acne and I swear I have more lines on my face now than before I started using it. I heard it's so good for anti aging and acne but so far my results have been absolutely dreadful.
Spoiler (Highlight to read) When I was younger, I used to have really clear skin. Now that I guess I have reached the point where my hormones are changing, I don't now. I tend to get pimples in my T-zone and blackheads on my nose. Occasionally, I get a few deep pimples on my cheeks. These seem to be very deep and sensitive. Then within a few days they rupture and are really painful. I try not to squeeze them out of fear of what may happen. If any of you have any suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Also, my skin is a combination between oily and dry.Thank you! When I was younger, I used to have really clear skin. Hi! I've been using Retin-A for 6 months now, and my face is always so red. Does anyone have suggestions for how to treat and reduce the redness? It's the only side effect that I am still experiencing with tretinoin.
I normally would post in the question thread but I don't want it to go unnoticed, lol! I also posted several months back about patchiness issues on my face with my foundation, and I feel like most of my problems are gone, but my chin is still SO CONGESTED! I need help! I tried to get a good photo, so I am sorry if you can't really see what my issue is. I am also wearing foundation in these photos. I get tons of micro zits, TONS, and my foundation also patches up in that area still. It has never been smooth and I don't know why. Is there something else I should maybe try? I currently use this stuff at nighttime: Omorovicza or Tatcha cleansers Peter Thomas Roth peel pads to exfoliate Jasmine garden toner by May Lindstrom Rejuvenating night cream by omorovicza (this has been a life saver, it fixed all my dry patches) This is what I normally use, but twice a week I will use a mask which takes the place of the peel pads. I have the resurfacing mask by tata harper which I use once a week, and then the Origins mask in the pink packaging (I forgot the name, sorry lol I think it may be a rejuvenating mask, but it also has some exfoliating bits in there). For daytime I just splash my face with water in the morning and follow with a spritz of the omorovicza hungarian water, then follow with the illuminating moisturizer. Let me be clear that I do not have dry bits on my face anymore, in fact, it feels great and I have no issues! It's only my chin which has all this congestion and tons of micro pimples. I can seriously pop like 10 or more at a time if I'm feelin it lol. Is there anything else I should or could do to help?
I placed an order a couple days ago and Still have no tracking number for it. The two products are ordered are already out of stock so I hope there wasn't a problem with my order. Usually my orders are shipped the next day so I would like to know what's taking so long please.
Hey guys, I was hoping I could get some suggestions for a good primer that would help smooth out my acne scars. My skin is pretty dry and my foundation doesn't run at all (I recommend Tarte foundation!) so what I'm really looking for is a good base so my foundation doesn't sink into my craters. Help?
Aloha! I have recently begun using the Origins Charcoal mask, which for most people, is HG. I have been getting small red acne like bumps after using this for the past two weeks and I am unsure if my skin is purging and this is normal. I also did try the Smashbox Primer Light which I returned because I felt that also might be contributing. I NEVER get acne since I had been off accutane so I am curious as to whether this is purging or a reaction and whether I should keep up the use for a little while longer. Thanks!
I have a combination of freckles (which I love and am not looking to lighten), mild rosacea, and uneven tone. I rarely break out but have some small bumps that never turn into anything bigger. If I am on the wrong board can someone point me in the right direction please? Thanks
my skin is usually pretty clear, but once in a while i start to feel one of those deep pimples about to surface. is there anything i can do to prevent it from fully forming? i try everything to make it go away as soon as i feel it coming, but within a day or two it turns into a huge blemish that takes weeks to go away. are there any good products i can apply as soon as i feel it coming to stop it from growing? price isn't an issue as long as it works, I'm desperate lol thank you!!
Hey guys! Does anyone have any suggestions on a good mineral foundation that won't make me break out or irritate my sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin? I've tried BareMinerals Matte Foundation and that ended up making me break out even more. I'm considering just switching to the BareMinerals Original Foundation because I still love the full, build able coverage BareMinerals provides. Someone suggested Clinique liquid foundation but I'm not a fan of liquid foundations and Clinique Powder Foundations don't have a great selection of shades. I'm open to any suggestions/advice, even if it's products that I should stay away from. Thanks!
