I am in search of a cleanser (and possibly a treatment) for acne/blemishes. I am one month post partum so I believe my breakouts (mainly on my chin/jawline) are primarily due to hormones and lack of sleep. I have also been put on a hormone that increases the production of sebum and causes skin to swell causing build up beneath the surface = large blemishes. Currently using Philosophy's Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash. Would like to use a second cleanser to treat acne/blemishes one time a day. Have rosacea so I have to be a little careful. Recommendations please!:-)
Has anyone else seen the VIB Event on Thursday, April 16th? It's basically the same as the brunch...just without brunch. This is starting to frustrate me. There is no point to Rouge if it's going to be the same as VIB. There has yet to be anything worthwhile about the Rouge program since January.
I have oily skin prone to cystic acne that results in scarring. Unfortunately my skin is also sensitive to certain products causing breakouts (like shampoo) just looking for thoughts if you think a clarisonic could help? Thanks in advance!!
My most recent order has not shipped and is saying unsuccessful authorization. I know I've got money in my account and I'm using the same card as I have many times before. I wasn't even sent an email warning my that the order had been canceled. i was just trying to check if it had been shipped. Now I've got nothing. I order on the 16th for the %15 off and now I'm sure my order want to able to be processed. Honestly it would be nice to have a email if a order hasn't gone through.
I am trying a few new skincare products because of the 15% off event and my skin is so very sensitive that I am just absolutely ecstatic when I don't wake up with breakouts where applied. I can't try samples first at my local store because for months now I have been waiting on surgery.
i have questions about my skin problem. my skin is really sensitive, have a lot of blackheads recently, and sometimes its also breakout. i want to change my daily cleanser from Clinique to Glamglow Supercleanse Daily Cleanser. I did some research and i found out that Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser seems great too. Can please someone tell me which one is better between Glamglow and Boscia for my skin type??? i also have some acne scar on my right cheek. If there is any daily cleanser that could reduce the acne that would be really greattt.
I have combination skin. I also have very sensitive skin as well that is acne prone. I have tried the Nars sheer glow foundation and also estee lauder double wear. Nars sheer glow broke my skin out but the Estee lauder was very good until I started to see cosmetic acne forming on my forehead what foundation should I try next with my skin type?
Hey beauties! So, long story short, I am a young adult and I recently had my thyroid removed due to its growth and an autoimmune disease. It has been causing me to have horrible breakouts, that are in patches on my face. The biggest problem areas right now are on both sides of my neck, right underneath my jawline. I have tried so many facial care products, and the best results I have seen so far have come from the FAB line, but I still have a large amount of breakouts in small sections of my face. Even though I am working to get my thyroid levels on the right track, I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for something that is a very deep clean, good for treating breakouts, but also works gently on sensitive skin. The harsh products tend to make my skin even worse, and I will start forming blisters all around the acne. This has been such a long and difficult process. While I am trying to heal and get my levels back on track, I would love to start seeing results in one of my biggest insecurities! I would appreciate any advice you have!
Last month I started using Differin and Aczone for breakouts and it made my skin really dry. I started using Cerave PM moisturizer at night and Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturizer for Combination Skin during the day under my makeup. Now I've been finding my skin is really oily when I wake up and starts to get really oily towards the end of the day. I'm thinking of switching to Dramatically Different because I've read it's good for oily/acne prone skin and it won't react badly with my acne medications. Has anyone experienced irritation or breakouts when switching to this moisturizer?
Hi, I currently wear Estee Lauder Double Wear in 2N1 desert beige and the color is right but I am looking for something that gives me more of a luminous dewy finish. I am 55 and my skin tends to be dry other than the nose and eyelids. I do like the ELDW but it is a little on the dry side at the end of the day. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. If you have mature skin and have found your HG foundation I would love to hear about it.
I need a top-notch dermatologist. The two I've seen here have repeatedly ignored my requests for a skin care regimen. I have had acne since I was a teenager, been on Accutane twice I think between the ages of 18-26. It worked temporarily then my acne came back and I haven't been able to get rid of it since. I have acne on my face, behind my ears, scalp, and throat/neck. Some are the painful kind. I don't get whiteheads, just mainly nodular. My skin is t-zone oily and normal in other areas. I have an oily scalp and oily eyelids. I have seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp and hairline. The dermatitis used to affect my forehead and cheeks but thankfully not any more. Right now it's just my scalp but is under control with a prescription shampoo. Back to the acne, no topical medications have worked for me. I'm almost 39 years old and haven't had clear or healthy skin since before puberty. PLEASE PLEASE help.
Any Dior Diva's out there? Willing to share your Dior "stories"? Hello!! Earlier this summer, I had my first exposure to Dior products at my local Dillard's. I was interested in looking at just the Dior Addict lipsticks, but was informed by the woman at the counter that my makeup was just not working for me. Truly, she was polite and diplomatic. The prior statement is my summary. lol. So I let her remove my makeup and from scratch, apply full skin care and makeup. I explained to her that I would only consider a foundation that was full-coverage, because of my breakouts. She spent time talking to me about what I could do to help my skin, not just cover my problems. She told me about her husband, who had suffered from breakouts, and how, when she started working for Dior, she started a skin care routine on him, and how amazingly it worked for him. Long story short, I walked out with a laundry list of recommended products. I went back about a month later, during a Dillard's special event, and this same amazing woman walked through everything with me again, spending a good hour with me. She was so personable and I truly felt like she believed in the products and wanted to help me achieve the best skin possible. Fast forward and I'm faithfully using the following products, which are doing wonders for my skin, applied in this order: After washing my face: Step 1: At night: Gentle Toner In the morning: Purifying Toner (Oh - I'll use the Murad acne treatment to spot treat) Step 2: CT One Essential. I use this in the morning and at night. For the rest of the products that follow, I only use them in the morning. Step 3: CT Serum (Concentre Multi- Perfection). Should I also use this at night? Step 4: Moisturizer (NOT yet using Dior as I am finishing up other products) Step 5: CT Dreamskin (Soin Anti-Age Global Createur De Peau Parfaite) Step 6: Pore Minimizer (Skin Refining Matte Primer). I am not sure I see the value in this item as a primer.... So!! My questions for you all: Dior Diva program: A) Have you actually signed up for the Dior Diva program through Dior? If so, how do you submit your original Sephora receipts? The receipts that come in the shipping boxes do not provide $ amounts. I was thinking that I could add a copy of my online receipts, which do include prices. B) What gift items have you selected with your points? Any recommendations? Regrets? Skin Care: A) What kind of skin do you have? I have oily, breakout prone skin. And I'm 40 so I've got some aging starting. Blah! B) What products do you use? C) What order do you apply them? D) Do you have any recommendations or suggested changes to the what I am using/how I am using them? E) Did the line transform your skin? Makeup: A) Do any of you typically need fuller coverage foundation and if so, have you been successful with Dior's foundation? I have a brand new one I haven't opened because I have found, via using samples, that the coverage is just too light for my needs. I bought the Capture Totale Foundation and I happen to be color #31. B) Did use of the Dior concealer provide the coverage you need for skin issues? It's on my list of items from the Dior counter, but I haven't purchased it, yet. Thank you!! I know I "talk" a lot on my posts. 😛
I have been using the NUDE Jelly cleanser for a few months. As I am nearing the end of the bottle I am considering whether to try something new. The Algenist Genius Melting Cleanser appears to be a similar type of cleanser, but you get a larger quantity for the same price so I figured it's worth a try. What is the difference between the two? Has anyone tried both and seen a difference in their skin with one over the other? Thanks!
Im struggling with acne again, My clear streak is over for now. Im watching to Today show and they showed the Illumask for acne or antiaging. I looked it up and they sell it at Ulta. Its $30, and it lasts for 30 days. Has anyone tried it for help with acne? They say its comparable to the derm, but Ive not done that either. Any advice or recommendations for this or something comparable?
I have incredibly oily skin and have just recently found out I was making my skin overproduce oil, and I have been breaking out badly in places I have never had acne before. I was wondering what products you have gotten to work. Any recommendations would be great!
i have oily acne prone skin, but recently i've been getting these weird little bumps under the skin. an aesthetician told me i could benefit from microdermabrasion, but i need an exfoliator i can use at home on a regular basis. any advice!?
