Pyoderma faciale aka Rosacea fulminans
I have Pyoderma faciale aka Rosacea fulminans. I saw a dermatologist but he wanted to put me on Accutane but I am against that. I need help finding a skincare routine. I have tried Proactive, Acne-Free, Murad, Skin ID, and DDF without any luck. I only have the pyoderma faciale on my chin and jaw line. The upper part of my face is clear. My skin is very senstive and my jaw is dry because I have been using Clean & Clear PERSA-GEL 10 which has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide but haven't seen any imporvement. Help me please?

Hi,
I have been battling an unusual skin condition for the past 2 years, it has disfigured my face and has not responded to any of the treatments including acutane! Finally I found a research hospital that diagnosed me with Pyoderma Faciale. They are heavily pushing the Acutane again but I had alot of bad psychological side effects when I was on it (they also treated me with heavydoeses of steroids) and did not want to face that again since i have recently been diagnosed with clinical depression. When I refused to take the Acutane they told me they could also treat it with an antibiotic called Dopsane which is used to treat leprosy. It still has side effects because it is a powerful antibiotic but the effects arent nearly as bad as acutane! I woudl ask your doctor about the treatment. I hope this helps!
