How do I choose which Organic / All-natural skin and hair care line is best for me?

I 35 yo with adult acne issues and fine lines around my eyes. Therefore looking for organic acne and antiaging face products.

I would try mixing your own oils as well, there are many essential oil that have anti-aging benefits (frankincense oil for example).

I also recommend using Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel toner, which is a natural astringent.  It helps get makeup residue and anything else off after cleansing.  It has also helped lighten my acne marks!

I have heard from many people that True Botanicals is amazing.  I haven't tried it because it is out of my price range, but give it a go if you can swing it!

If you are looking for makeup as well, try Lune + Aster.  The company is all natural and cruelty free, some products are even vegan.

I'd recommend trying the oil cleansing method. For years I tried every organic and non-organic face wash I could find, until I started cleansing my face with oil. Only then did I realize my teen and adult acne was just a reaction to what I was putting on my face. So instead of having acne prone oily skin, I discovered I actually have combination skin with occasional hormonal breakouts!

The Josie Maran cleansing oil has the least amount of ingredients out of others I've seen on Sephora: http://www.sephora.com/argan-cleansing-oil-P283501?skuId=1324631&icid2=products%20grid:p283501

But if you really want something that works specifically for you, I recommend making your own. This website can help explain the method: http://www.theoilcleansingmethod.com

My personal mixture is 25-30% Castor Oil and 70% Sunflower Oil or Grapeseed oil. I also add 10-20 drops of essential oils (lavender or tea tree, sometimes both!).

I swear by this method and the results. There's a two week - transition period for some people where they break out more, then their skin balances out... this didn't happen to me. I saw immediate improvement.

Once you feel comfortable with that, I recommend ANY product by Herbivore Botanicals. They are all organic and have minimal ingredients with maximum results.
