Your nighttime routine sounds similar to what I've been doing, and it's great that you're being proactive about researching if it's okay to layer those products. It's always a good idea to make sure you're using them correctly. Speaking of research, I recently came across a dermatology reference textbook that's been a game-changer for me. It's packed with valuable information about skincare and treatments. Here's the link: https://www.therapeutique-dermatologique.org/ I'm still trying to navigate through the debris of different skincare products, hoping to find what works best for my skin.

Many of these posts focus on treating discoloration but I would rather focus on preventing the discoloration. If you know that you are getting PIH discoloration with your pimples then its a good idea to control your acne cysts and also use a preventative skin lightener. My choices are Melapads exfoliating pads and Melarase AM daily. These should be combined with a good non-irritating cleanser from Sephora and they will gradually lighten up existing PIH. #melapads and #melarase #discoloration #pih #melasma #sunspots #acnescars

Acne has so many different causes; some that are hormonal, stress-related, environmental, dietary, genetic, and age-related. Treatment should focus on treating the preventable causes of acne and cystic pimples. Over-drying is not a great idea, but you should have a gentle cleanser to help reduce sebum accumulation. Salicylic acid acts to break down pore clogging keratin. I suggest Elevase Moisture Booster with ceramides for those clients who need a good moisturizer in addition to a cleanser and elimination of the causes of acne. You may also consider the Vbeam laser for redness and a spot corrector for the pigmentation. There are excellent options with Arbutin instead of Hydroquinone. #elevase #acne #cleanser #acnepimples

@Sofia192 Do you use waterproof mascara (and eyeliner if you use it)? If you don’t maybe try that, the essence lash princess one is pretty good in my opinion (the blue and black bottle is the waterproof one). And a waterproof eyeliner (if you use eyeliner) that i like is the L’Oreal infallible grip gel mechanical liner. Maybe try a different setting spray. The MILK MAKEUP Mini Pore Eclipse Mattifying + Blurring Transfer-Proof Setting Spray 1.3 oz / 40 ml (this is the smaller size in case you just wanted to test it out) and the Elf setting spray in the green bottle is pretty good as well.Spraying the setting spray first and then lightly setting your face with pressed powder is supposed to help your look last longer vs using setting spray after powder, so try that! Also, you could look into keeping blotting papers in your bag to soak up oil throughout the day. Palladio’s Rice Paper Facial Tissues are made of rice paper and are lightly powdered; they’re really good, you can get them on amazon and they’re pretty affordable.
