Blackheads

What is the best blackhead product? I've tried everything from masks, nose strips, and salicylic acid and nothing seems to work

Re: Blackheads

They aren't blackheads rather sebaceous filments, natural oil blockage everyone has. You can Google the differences.

Nose strips actually do harm, they don't get deep into the pore and broken capillaries are more likely.

Re: Blackheads

Good suggestions here!  From proven products, to a good facialist and may I suggest this at-home machine.

PMD! Exfoliates your skin's top layers and gunky pores just cleanse themselves.

Re: Blackheads

Hi brittleann,

If you're looking for a way to remove black heads, I would suggest Glamglow's SUPERCLEANSE Daily Clearing Cleanser. I'm super susceptible to black heads, and this cleanser dissolves oil, dirt, and impurities like magic!

I would also suggest Glamglow's SUPERMUD clearing treatment. You can literally see the gunk leaving your pores as the mask dries. I like to use this only two to three times a week on my problem areas, as it can be drying. I hope these work out for you. 🙂

Cheers!
Nikko

Re: Blackheads

My bf has crazy blackheads and here's what I torture I'm with to great results.

If you can, go get a professional facial and extraction.  Your pores are open to the elements after this, so keep your face clean of makeup and focus on skincare for a few days.

Then, use an acid exfoliator like Dr. Dennis Gross, etc. As often as you can.

Use a clay mask on trouble spots like Supermud or the Origins Charcoal mask.

Be militant about cleansing, and try an oil cleanser.  Oil removes oil. Go into a store to get some samples of products, but you can also use coconut or jojoba oil mixed with castor oil (look up a recipe for your skin type). Morning and evening.
