Acne on forehead (ingrown pimples, bumpy)

I tend to get acne on my forehead. I have combination skin. Oily forehead and nose and dry cheeks and chin.

The acne on my forehead is like these ingrown pimples that are swollen from inside (like small bumps) and if i apply pressure to them, they become a white head pimple after a day or so. Sometimes they give out a clear liquid too which seems like water?oil?

I'm not sure what i need to use to get rid of them. Any ideas?

I have had these issues and used the extra strenght daily from Dennis Gross. They work, within about two days. Make sure to follow up with a lactic acid serum to really cleanse from dead skin cells. Have you tried Differin gel? It used to be Rx only until recently. Now you can buy it at Targetfor less than $13. It works wonders, especially with those deep acne lesions. And you can apply it all over your face or use it as a spot treatment.

It's not a miracle treatment - some bumps have to be removed by an aesthetician or dermatologist - but it really worked for me to reduce old spots and prevent new ones. Best of luck! Acne as an adult is awful. You have my sympathy. ❤

I also get the same problem. But the ingrown pimple is on my chin. Well, I have tried glycolic acid as member recommendation, but no effect.

Finally, I tried aspirin.

I read the steps on https://pimplesremedyideas.com/ingrown-pimple/

Slowly, the pimple gone.

Hello!

I know that acne can be so hard to work with and it can be extremely discouraging. However, please, please don't pop them or touch them. Any forced action would make it worse unless you get it removed by a professional. Don't touch it and see if you can get some over the counter stuff like benezol peroxide. I recommend the Acne-Spot treatment by Netrogena and it can be bought in any drugstore. Although it is a little pricey, you're only supposed to apply it to small areas so concentrate on those cysts.

Here is a quick list of what you can do:

  • Drink a lot of water (and I do mean around 2-3 bottles of water a day. This is ESSENTIAL)
  • Sleeping earlier (The skin rejuvinates around 11pm. It's fine if you can't do this, but try not to stay up too late or else you'll be stressed!)
  • Omega 3 Fish Oil pills (Buy them at Costco or anywhere. 2 a day)
  • Vitamin C (From any source! Carrot juice or the gummies. 2 a day)
  • Avoid junk food/processed food/oily food/fast food (Once in a while is absolutely fine, but please think about your skin. Things to avoid would be like things with too much sodium, white bread, and sometimes dairy)
  • See a dermatologist or a skin specialists if the cysts get worse! (Don't hesitate! Beauty usually comes with a price, and if you are worried to the point where you don't want to leave your house or you're constantly thinking about it, see someone who is an expert about your skin! He or she would prescribe your medication and topical treatments according to your condition)
  • Eat healthy! (Remember that your skin is a part of your body and it NEEDS good nutrients. Mind your food; you are what you eat!)

I hope this helps! I had suffered the worst of acne so I peronally think  I had crawled back from acne hell. My skin is clear, but with scars, yet this is what I did to get myself back to health.  Good luck 🙂

Wonderful & Timeless advice! My compliments.

2 things I'd add:  try to determine if there is a Food-Allergy-reaction that shows up as a blemish.  For me, various types/ forms of nuts cause spots on forehead & temples.  Also, look at the shampoo, etc. you use. Perhaps a bit of product residue is the culprit?

Sigh, it's a l o n g process figuring it out

Re: Acne on forehead (ingrown pimples, bumpy)

Thanks for the great tips.

I do take fish oil and vitamin C supplements along with eating vegetables daily. And i also try to drink my 8 glasses of water everyday. I actually used Clean & Clear Advantage which is similar to what you suggested. The problem is, these bumps are all over my forehead and these creams are supposed to be applied to small spots so i can't use it on my forehead because mine is scattered all over. I always wonder if there is a cream, cleanser or something that goes into these pores and gets rid of the under skin swollen pimples. These pimples are not visible they are deep down into the skin. I only feel them when i touch it. And it seems everytime i touch them they become full blown pimples. But i think its because of these ingrown pimples that i get most of my white heads on my forehead.

Re: Acne on forehead (ingrown pimples, bumpy)

I suggest glycolic acid. Get a 10% solution and apply nightly, then follow with a glycolic moisturizer like Boscia Revitalizing Black Hydration Gel. This is the only thing that cleared my skin. I found my skin really cleared up once I stopped picking and prodding too and let the glycolic clear the pores. Then you should also do a thorough ingredient check of what you are putting on your face. A LOT of products are comedogenic, even those that say they aren't. I suggest checking out Renee Rouleau's website or zero zits website for ingredients to avoid. The simpler, the better. (I use products for sensitive skin even though my skin isn't traditionally sensitive because technically if your skin cannot purge itself, it is more 'sensitive'.) My last two suggestions are a mask twice a week that contains chemical exfoliants (lactic, glycolic, malic, etc.), such as Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant, and drink green tea! : )
