So I got tired of waiting for Perversion mascara to be available in store and bought the Marc Jacobs Omega Lash. I'm on the fence about it. I do LIKE it but I'm not sure I LOVE it. All things being equal, I probably prefer Too Faced Better than Sex because it gave me more volume and fullness. MJ's gives a ton of length, but I already have super duper crazy long lashes and usually want fullness and volume over lengthening.    Having said that I am not one for returning products without a REALLY good reason. I really dislike returns of products done lightly as in the end that drives up prices and is extremely wasteful.   I think I should just keep and use the mascara. It's a nice mascara and even though it doesn't blow me away, in 2 months I can justify a new one, and hopefully by then Perversion will be available. I desperately needed a new mascara as my old TFBTS was way old.    OK, I think I just talked myself into keeping it. 2 months won't kill me. I know it was pricey at $33 CAD, and if I HATED it then I would return it, but I don't think feeling "meh" about a product justifies returning it.    OK, sorry, I didn't really ask a question there so much as I just went through a thought process exercise. :-)

I don't know if any of you ladies know about this but Sonia Kashuk just came out with a LE 15 piece brush set in celebration of their 15th anniversary. I just picked up the last one in my town today during my lunch break. I personally think this is a steal. It is $40 at Target.   If you can find it, I suggest to get it right there and then because this set is sold out almost everywhere and each Target in the US and Canada each get 2 sets. Go on to Target's website and use the "find in a Target store" and click on "pick up in store" if it shows up to reserve it. Sonia Kashuk is trying to keep it in stock but it keeps selling out. This set will be available until October according to their customer service line.     If anyone wants to know how they perform, let me know and I will do a small review here on BT.

This is my second order of Give Me Some Lip. My fav is the full size Smashbox with the cushy paddle like applicator and the Buxom with a great tingle feeling. Anyone else have this set? What do you think beauties?

With the Rouge Event just around the corner, and money to be spent, heres my list!   My current  (it could grow) wishlist :   With so many holding off on purchasing, and the 4x point reward, I'd love to see what people have their eye on or what they plan on hauling at the event!    So....Whats on your list?!

What's the most expensive product you've ever loved whose price made you wish your arms never had access to your credit card?    It's La Mer for me. Soooo pricey and soooo effective.

I want to get one of these during the August 3rd event, but I need to get some advice.   I have medium brunette hair, blue eyes, and light to medium skin with neutral undertones.   I have some other palettes (TF Chocolate Bar, Lorac Pro 1/2, Naked 1/2/3, UD Electric, and UD Smoked) and I would like something different than the palettes I have but complementary (if that makes sense) to them.   If anyone has tried any of these and have any opinions, pros, cons, ect. on them I would love to hear Thanks in advanced!

Have you guys seen these?! There are tons of shades and finishes to choose from, and you can build your own palette! I can't wait to try these; I wonder if Sephora will carry all of the shades? There are so many and I'd really like to go in and test a good chunk of them.     http://www.sephora.com/artist-shadow-P387670?skuId =1622745

So I have super oily skin especially on my right eye and I have tried so many different eye primers and none of them seem to work.    I have tried: UD Primer Potion in all shades Smashbox primer (both actually) Too Faced Eye Primer Benefit Stay don't stray Mac Paint Pot   I even use the UD Set Spray All Nighter.   What do you guys recommend for the best eye primer for oily skin. Something that will help my makeup stay for 10 hours?

Do Support do makeup and give lessons to guys who cross dress and do they have private consultation rooms for this? Thanks

I am in love with 99.9% of the colors in this palette! I have not tried the MUFE eyeshadows or this "unique gel-powder formula" does it blend easily? Any opinions on the formula? Is it worth the $46 dollars or go for KvD Monarch? All Other Concerns
I want to start using hydrating facial masks. I hear the *gasps* in horror already when I typed "START USING."   Anyhoo, the reason why I don't use masks is that I have a bad habit of using something, hating it, never to try again. "Masks" in the 70's-80's were like goop that dried, got crunchy, flaked off, paralyzed any facial movements, then ripped off the surface of your skin. Or, a more gentle MASK was like Elmer's School Glue.   I read a little about some Hydrating Masks...they sound like a heavy night cream/moisturizer. Over night & 24 hour mask? It doesn't peel off? See what I mean by the confusion?   Sounds like they redefined "Mask." I guess it applies to whatever you slather on your face, then remove.    What are some really good Hydrating "Masks" that hydrates/treats skin, but doesn't contain anything that exfoliates? (For Mature Skin)

i recently have researched the naked palettes and have no idea which one to purchase. Im not the biggest fan of the naked 3 because i am not a huge a fan of pink. so i was thinking either the 1st or 2nd one. I have dark brown hair and have medium/fair skin tone and green/brown eyes. Anyone have any suggestions on what i should purchase?!

So yesterday I tested out the brushes from the brush set while I was getting ready to go out for dinner last night and I have to say I really like them. They're really soft and well made. There was a teeny bit of shedding though.   Retail Value- $40 Estimated Value per brush- $15 Estimated MSRP - $225   Pros:   Price Quality  Well made   Cons:   Exclusive to Target 2 sets per Target store Sells out quickly in store and online HTF Little bit of shedding Some may be deformed due to packaging or you get a double of one brush.  Availability - until October if they can keep up with the demand according to SK customer service       Favorite Brushes   Contour Brush Pencil Brush Blush Brush    The contour brush is EVERYTHING!!!! It is very comparable to the NARS Ita and MAC 163 brushes (I personally think it's a lot better). I used it to contour my nose as well and I really liked the way it turned out. This brush gave me cheekbones and the sculpted effect that my Real Techniques contour brush wasn't giving me!   The pencil brush picked up a lot of color easily and in even though I barely dipped my brush in the eyeshadow I was using. I suggest tapping it off quite a bit so the color isn't so intense and you don't get a ton of fallout.   The blush brush is really nice. It picks up the right amount of blush so the most intense color will be toned down and wearable.   Least Favorite Brushes   Blending Brush Buffing Brush  Angled Multipurpose Brush   The blending brush is way too big for me personally. It was hard to blend my transition color with it due to the large size so I used my MAC 217. This was also the only brush that was deformed. It does work as a cheek highlighting brush if you want a more concentrated glow on the high points of the face.   The buffing brush is a bit too dense and absorbed too much product. I used it to apply foundation and I had to use 3 pumps instead of 1. I don't know what I will use this for later.   The angled multipurpose brush was very difficult to work with for me personally. I used it to blend my concealer and it was a mess. I had to use my BB to blend the rest of my concealer. I'll play around a bit to see if I can find another use for it. I may use it for cream contouring.     Final Verdict   Overall I think this a really good set to have if you're starting out or if you're a total makeup junkie and you love LE products. This set would also make an amazing gift as well. I'm  going to play  with the brushes that I didn't like so much to find alternative uses for them or use them in conjunction with other brushes to make them work. I may end up liking them later in the future. I hope Sonia Kashuk is able to stay on top of the demand and each Target gets more than 2 per each restock and that the Target website will restock quickly as well.     I hope you all enjoy my review!

Hi all ! I know that August is one of the best times to shop at Sephora because of the great perks, extra points and all those goodies. Has anybody heard anything about this yet? Any posters or in-store sightings? I'm so excited and we're one week away and I haven't heard anything yet! Ah !!! Doesn't 2x, 3x, or 4x (depending on membership) sound awesome? I really hope that Sephora hasn't forgotten...Hoping for bigger and better things this year, not to say that last years wasn't too shabby itself.    Let's end this with a question: Q: What was your favorite perk/part/time of August Appreciation Month?    My answer: I love the whole month, even though promos change weekly, I loved the VIB Bag w/samples and the 3x points, pretty sweet

I currently use Makeup Forever HD foundation, but feel that it is too heavy for everyday use.  What are some suggestions for everyday foundation that isn't too heavy and seems like I have nothing on?

Sephora Show & Tell
Happy National Lipstick Day, BT! In honor of this very special day (we take makeup holidays very seriously around these parts), I grabbed some luxe lip looks from The Beauty Board to give us a little lipspiration.   What lippie are you wearing today, BeautyTalkers? Show and Tell!     Btw, have you check out The Beauty Board yet? We've got some seriously talented folks posting (and some BTers too!).   But I warn you, it's a serious beauty wonderland over there. Don't blame me if you fall down the rabbit hole and don't come out for hours!
Lips
I have strawberry blonde hair , blue eyed, and light skin and i am looking for a fire engine red lipstick that will last on my lips all day. Any good ones that you guys know of?
Face
So I am 42 with oily/dull /acne prone skin with hyper pigmentation. (Sound fun) I use my Clairosonic followed by Ole Henricksen products.  I have used BM oil control primer (nice) pore fessional (not too big of a fan) and smashboxs light ( verdict still out on this one) oh also LM mineral primer (nice)  So first looking for a suggestion for a primer for oily skin, again currently just bought smashbox light. Foundation I wear BM matte (nice) and or MUFE duo compact, and I could go on with the foundations I have but those are the most used right now.  i am always jealous when I see a woman with that supple skin, not too dewy nor matte, but looks nicely moisturized.  I only have been able to achieve a matte look or oily look.  Looking for a suggestion on a foundation.  I have tried Tarte amazonian clay, and surprisingly looked extremely   oily with that too.  So if you say powder is the best way, I guess I will have to stick with that and use my Benefit high beam to  try to make it look not so matte.  I was curious how the Bobbi Brown stick is for oily skin.  It's listed under options on their site for oily skin, yet not good with the reviews.  Shade I am currently Sephora collection 8hr matte D33 (see, the list of foundations go on)

Meet your hair’s new bestie! From the NYC hair care and styling mavens at Amika comes an amazing starter kit for a slew of perfectly curled styles. The The AMIKA Switch Kit™ Starter Set includes a curling iron base with an adjustable digital temperature control, plus the brand’s most popular one-inch, clip-free barrel for sultry, wavy curls. The system also has other barrels in different diameters (sold separately) so when you get tired of the Hollywood vixen look, you can just switch out the barrels to achieve beachy ringlets or voluminous supermodel waves. One styler does it all and takes out the guesswork. (Plus, interchangeable barrels mean you never have to buy a whole new curling iron for a new look, just the new barrel.)   The folks at Amika designed their system with a bunch of high-tech features to protect your hair’s shine and ban that annoying frizz. The 100% tourmaline-infused ceramic barrels produce far infrared heat and negative ions for gentle styling and perfect results. Far infrared heats the hair from the inside out, preserving moisture for hair that is fluid and shiny, not damaged and crispy, while negative ions smooth down hair’s cuticles eliminating frizz. The result is sleek springy curls that will turn heads wherever you go.   The base also includes convenient features like automatic shutoff and a dual-voltage adapter for when you’re gallivanting overseas, plus a nine foot swivel cord for those times when there isn’t a plug right next to your mirror. If you’re not a pro at curling already, no need to worry! There are simple-to-follow five-step instructions on the box for achieving your perfect Hollywood vixen locks. - Kris Gucker   What’s your favorite head of curls? I just came back from Asia (business, not fun) and saw that a lot of people there are using something called circle lenses. They're contact lenses that make your eye's iris look bigger. Have you guys ever heard of this here in the US? I'm just curious...   (and, honestly, I have no clue in which board to post this... going with eye makeup as it's sounds like the closest)

Hi there, I got invited to a wedding (night time) and I'm considering buying the laura mercier tinted moisturizer. This product has SPF 20, does anyone know if this product has flashback?
