Prom/Grad is coming up and I need a good foundation, problem is literally every foundation breaks me out. Tarte amazonian clay and the water foundation, Cover FX powder foundation, Estee Lauder Double Wear, Makeup Forever HD foundation, Too Faced Born This Way, Smash box CC and BB cream. I have oily skin and I'm getting desperate. I find the hourglass immaculate foundation didn't break me out, and neither did the nars all day luminous that I can remember. But both clung to my dry patches. So I need a foundation good for hella sensitive skin that will look good during grad!
This thread may have already been started, but I'll be honest, I didn't check because my browser has been really slow! Anyways this thread is to discuss everyone's favourite and least favourite product of all time. Try to only name 1 product for each! My Absolute favourite beauty item is the KVD Mi Vida Loca palette. It just stands out in my mind as my favourite. I just love it so much! ... And the least would have to be any eyelash curler that isn't nickel-free! I know it isn't a specific product, but I just can't stand when contact dermatitis develops on my eyelids! Nickel allergies aren't fun
I saw the best youtube video...on anti-hauls. Basically, it's things you are not going to buy (no way, not ever, absolutely) and why. So here are my anti-hauls for holiday 2016 updated: 1. The KVD/TooFaced collaboration. People are already listing it below. I don't get it and to me it just looks tacky. Two brands that apparently aren't better together. 2. Pat McGrath lips sets. I do not need glitter on my lips and the shades don't look unique or distinctive. 3. The new Tarte deluxe blush palette (the $65 one). I need to stop with these deluxe size holiday offerings. I can't seem to hit pan on one blush, let alone 9 (I think it has nine). 4. Things off Beauty dot com just because they're discounted. I do not need makeup, even super cheap makeup. I might want it, but I don't need it. 5. Sorry on this one, but after buying a bunch of UD palettes at full price, to see them all get discounted deeply, I will not be buying more full priced UD palettes. 6. If the Sephora Give Me More Lips has lip liners, I will not be buying it. Videos one and two are on the last or almost last page of comments to this thread. The others are littered in. Kimberly Clark (youtube name so not putting in names not allowed on BT) made them. Video 2 I'll link now:
I've been having issues with foundation sliding off my skin and looking cakey shortly after application. I have tried every mattifying primer (Becca ever-matte, MUFE mattifying, estee edit pore vanishing stick, nars pore & shine control, tarte tinted BB treatment, hourglass veil mineral, smashbox, porefessional, etc.) and nothing works. I always pat the primer in rather than rubbing it in, as well, and this does not help. My makeup doesn't apply properly to my nose or upper lip area (slides off, looks cakey right away) no matter what I use. I've tried a beauty blender and several different types of foundation brushes. By midday, any foundation I try pills on my cheeks, and becomes very cakey and gross everywhere on my T-zone - particularly around my nose. Shine is also a major issue. Currently using Nars Sheer Glow foundation, but this also happens with tinted moisturizers, Lancome Teint Idole, and Smashbox BB Water. I also set with UD De-Slick. Current skincare: Olehenriksen Oil Control Toner, Good Genes, FAB Mattifying Moisture Gel or Clinique Dramatically Different Gel, and Origins GinZing eye cream.
Hello there, my pretties! Are we ready for spring yet? I am not necessarily ready for sun ( ), but I know I'm ready to bust out some bright colors and create my own spring magic. Rules are - there are no rules. ( Except - you must have fun! That's obligatory! ) We do feel like brights and pastels during the spring most of the time, but you do whatever you feel like doing. You do you! Try to go through your stash, and introduce us to a new pretty each day. If brights are not your cup of tea, this challenge is an excellent way to try to, well - challenge yourself. But, they are not a must. We are planning on doing this all spring long! Please, feel free to stop by whenever. So... Keep calm and put your lipstick on! My plan ( and goal ) is to shop my own stash. No buying new lipsticks, just giving some love to all my neglected lovelies. Let's see how will that go... A lot of the other big beauty brands have their own threads now, so I thought, why not NARS? Let's share news about new collections, feedback on products, etc here. I'm making this thread because I simply don't want to create a new thread for every little question that pops into my head, nor do I think that most questions need a separate topic. I had previously just dropped whatever random question that came to mind into the Random Thread (thanks jemly!), but I had been thinking about starting this for a while and figured I'd give it a shot to see if it could be of any use. I'm well aware that the people who could best utilize this thread will likely remain completely oblivious to it, but if it can consolidate even a small fraction of questions -- and maybe even generate some interesting conversations both beauty and non-beauty related -- that seems worthwhile. Official thread mascots: The Curious Puppies. Official thread anti-mascot: Lucille Bluth. It probably would've been wise of me to have a relatively inane question to use as an example and kick this thread off... Well, since I apparently don't have any pressing questions, I'll start with this two-parter: What's your favorite drug store nail polish shade AND which official mascot puppy is your favorite? Bonus/Extra Credit: What's it's name?

I thought since a few BTer's like mermaids, unicorns, cute stuff, iridescent/holographic items... I'd start a thread so we could post all the products (beauty or not) that could fit this category.... even more enabling! hahahaha Share products you find that you think others might like....
This thread will be for Ulta GWPs only. Share ulta promos here. 4/15/17: Please do NOT post requests for the spreadsheet in this thread. Please post requests for the Ulta GWP google spread sheet in this thread: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Off-Topic/Ulta-GWP -Google-Spreadsheet-Request-Thread/m-p/2753063#M11 ... Let's keep this thread on topic! ************************************************** ******* Since a lot of information is being removed from this thread, try to help each other out and add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can search for items on ulta. *****Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item. The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. It's not a search, but a direct link to the page.*****
Welcome! This thread is all about the SiJCP experience! These stores are different than the stand-alone Sephora stores and like everything else, there are pros & cons. Some of the pros: SiJCP has exclusive Sephora Favorites Sets ( which aren’t sold online ): Post a pic of any you may find out there in the wild GWP promos: sent out via email, snail mail or postcard offers in the store. There is usually no minimum purchase requirement but you will need the barcode. Be a pal? Post any offers you come across here Their own “Rewards”: the 100-pt’ers are usually different then stand-alone stores Some of the cons ( IMO ): Their own “Rewards”: which are hardly ever stocked The great mystery of the “ SiJCP Email Distribution List ” is still….you guessed it – a mystery! No one, not even store employees, know how to get on this email distribution list. The investigation is still ongoing Communication isn’t consistent and each store seems to operate differently. BTW, if you had a good experience at the store, please complete the survey – this means a lot to the hard working SA’s. Thanks everyone for your help
Hi there! I've posted one question before and I got such a helpful answer that I thought I'd try again for another reoccurring problem that I've had. As the title says, that problem is under eye creasing. I'm 26 and I take care of myself, so I don't have super wrinkly under eyes or anything, but I do have some fine lines and creases right at the inner corner of my eyes. These are the steps I usually take for just my under eyes; 1. Lancome rénergie eye cream in the morning to moisturize 2. Smashbox under eye primer 3. I dot Lancome waterproof concealer under my eyes (I do not use a lot, just a few dots that I then blend out) 4. I blend it out with a beautyblender 5. I set everything with Laura Mercier Translucent Powder No matter how much care I take to make sure the creases aren't there I always see them as soon as I set my under eyes. I've tried all the tips I've come across so far. Someone told me that I might be using too much product so I have only moisturized my under eyes then applied my concealer but the annoying lines were still there. Any tips? Any product I don't yet know about that will help with this?
I'm addicted to Stila Smudge Stick but the caps are terrible, constantly fall off or crack, leading to dried up twist pencils and wasted $. I read I can re-soften with a little heat, but is the effect permanent or do I need to apply heat every time? Threw all my dried ones away and I'm trying to decide whether to re-invest in new pencils with bad caps. Also, the candle trick is described for wooden pencils but what about twist-up pencils from a plastic tube like Stila? Thanks!
Often people ask for recommendations on a skincare routine or for specific products/combinations. This might be a place to share your everyday skincare, both AM and PM. A skincare "what are you wearing" as it were. Hope this is useful. *Age - 40 Skin type - oily/combination Current skin condition - quite dehydrated (winter/indoor heating)* 01/17/16 - AM skincare in the order I used 1. Nude Jelly cleanser (love) 2. Pixi Glow tonic (5% glycolic toner - love) 3. Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Spritz (sample) 4. Radical Skincare Youth Infusion serum - hydrating and anti-ageing (new to me. Testing) 5. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream (like) 6. Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine cream (really like as an AM moisturizer) I will try to post PM skincare tonight so the post can be comprehensive. General comments - Okay skin. Apparently the age between 38-42 is a transformational time in hormones (dehydrated skin/spots), so I am more aware of how my skin performs/reacts . My skincare definitely has more "actives" now than before.
Welcome back to the deal sharing fun! Deals shared here may also be posted to my blog (same name as the thread) unless you write for BT only. If I share your deal, I will always thank you here. I will heart every deal I see (without an outside or cheat link) to acknowledge it. Beautytalk (the forum) does not allow outside links. A heart with no comment means I already have the deal or am deciding not to list it. Please list the retailer (without the link or cheat link; dot com) if it is not mentioned in the picture. Mods come in more often when they see any type of link. Thanks for sharing (original deals and repeats are welcome)! Please also share any deal haul you want, especially mystery gifts. Discussion is encouraged. A lot of questions come with certain deals or retailers. When I see questions I can answer, I will respond (unless the poster consistently ignores me or someone else already answered the complete question). I read all the main posts (so no need to tag me). If you're replying to a post that is not near the top of the thread and want me or a specific person to see it, please tag us. If you're posting about something on sale at Sephora, please share it here: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Hauls/Sephora-Sale s-Section-Get-it-Now/m-p/2122832#M44949
Hello, I was wondering if anyone had some skincare suggestions. I am fairly new to the world of skincare and I really want to work towards more radiant skin. I have sensitive and combination skin. I also have some acne problems, but those aren't my main priority at the moment. I was looking into some of Sephora Collection's cleansers and was wondering how those are. Also, how is the Urban Decay Hot Springs Hydrating Gel and would it work alone as a moisturizer? If you have any suggestions or tips, I would really appreciate the help! Thank you!
A place to say thanks to helpful BTer's, share your new BT status or heart achievement... A place to joke around, share memes, riddles or anything else you want to. Let's bring back some life in this place!!!!
Hi everyone! I'm looking for a good face mask to use once a week, that will help control my acne and prevent further breakouts. I know there are a ton of good ones out there, just trying to find something that will FINALLY work for me! Thanks, y'all. I appreciate it
Hello beauty talk members, I see so many color threads here. I love to chat about luxury skincare products and procedures. I am addicted to trying new things and am always on the lookout for something new in skincare. Have a favorite luxury brand or product? Have a fav skin tool or treatment? Please share. Curious about botox? Spa treatments and peels? let's share our experiences here . We can also post good GWP's, and specials.
I have huge pores everytime I try foundation my face looks cakey because of the textured skin. Foundation embraces my pores and that's why I don't wear makeup because it looks bad. What can I do so my pores won't look huge and textured skin won't look bad my main problem are huge pores. What's the best primer and foundation for this?
