Eyes Q&A
Wha are the best color professional eyeshadow palettes?
Makeup
I have very sensitive skin that's often prone to redness and acne. However, I just started trying out makeup and I want to figure out what's best for my skin while being able to experiment with different styles and colors. However, I don't like products/brands that contain harsh chemicals (i.e. parabens or phthalates) or test on animals. With that in mind, do any of you have recommendations for these items:     Makeup Remover Wipes/Brush Cleaners Eyeshadow/Face Palettes (in neutral, soft, vivid/bold colors and/or a combo of any of these) Single Eyeshadows/Blushes/Highlighters/Bronzers Colorless Lip Balm  Mascara Eyeliner Lipstick/Gloss/Stain/Colored Lip Balm   Thank you!
Face Q&A
I have combination skin and I have been looking all over for a moisturizer and foundation primer that doesn't irritate my skin. I finally found both- but I'm starting to see that even after I let my moisturizer sit for a while before I put on the primer (and then I do apply the primer) and I'm applying my foundation, there are dry patches all over my face! Especially my nose, under my eyes, and on my forehead. I generally apply more primer on my dry spots, since the primer I use is hydrating, or so. I don't know really what to do, should I change my primer? Is it my skin? My moisturizer? Even my foundation? Or am I missing a step or doing something wrong in my beauty routine? Please help!

I am brand new to face makeup, ive been doing my eyes (eyeliner, mascara, primer) for years and am confident with that. I am looking to get into face makeu but I am very acne prone and i have oily skin. so i have been looking into acne fighting foundations and primers but my question is if i get an acne fighting primer do i need an acne fighting foundation?   I have also been looking at bb creams that are also acne fighting and along with that i was thinking of using just that on my face in the place of foundation since it is a lighter product. with that though would i need a primer underneath it? which brings me back to my first question again, if it would need to be acne fighting also
Eyes Q&A
i have green eyes and usually i just wear nude coloured eye shadows, but i kind of want to branch out a bit and get new eye shadow ! so i wanted to know opinions on what colour eye shadow compliments green eyes the most ! :')
Eyes Q&A
I was thinking about getting the Rust quad for my blue eyes but I'm scared that the orange might be too bright and would be hard to wear every day. I already have the Too Faced Natural Matte palette... is it worth getting the Kat Von D quad?
Face Q&A
I use MUFE HD. And soon I'm planning on replacing my old bottle.   I saw that they had a kit recently so I thought I'd invest my money into it, since I replaced my HD powder with ELFs HD.   Anyway, I was looking into the NARS foundations, and thought about giving it a try, even though I love my HD foundation.   So what foundation do you use? And between HD and NARS which would you say you've had a better experience with. I've only used face primer from NARS and didn't really like it.     Also, a poll would be a nice addition to beauty talk.

I have been blonde for about 2 and a half years now-I'm sure a lot of you know the maintenance that comes with it. I recently decided to dye my hair back to it's natural state, an ashy brown. After the first dye job, my hair didn't take all the color so I went back and got it redone 3 days later. It's not been about 3 days since the dye job and I washed my hair this morning with color depositing shampoo, and IM GREEN!  My hair has this faint, green tint to it that is noticeable. I have read online that it's because I didn't have the right base...but I can't afford another dye job.    I just purchased the Tressa Watercolor shampoo that should deposit color (I used John Frieda this AM) and it say's it has red tones in it. The red should cancel out the green right? As a 16 year old in high school, the last thing I want is green tint to my brown hair.    What would you recommend? Use the Tressa and see what happens?
Hair
I have pretty long, ("**bleep**" length) very fine, very greasy, very straight, chemically treated hair. I NEVER blow dry and I rarely straighten my hair. I use Bumble and Bumble Gentle shampoo which I am really happy with, but the conditioner I was using isn't cutting it now that it has gotten colder. I used to use Super Rich conditioner which I liked, but I think I am needing something a little more replenishing? I was looking at getting the mending conditioner by Bumble and Bumble, but I am not really sure if that's what I need. I am currently using Keratin Complex Color Care Conditioner.    I don't like the oils like argean oil, I really need something I can use every day. Masks and leave in conditioners are also not a great option as they leave my hair really gross and sticky looking.  Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Face Q&A
Hi all! I am a big fan of Adelaide Kane (an actress from Reign, Teen Wolf, etc.). Recently, she uploaded pictures to Instagram from a photoshoot she had done with photographer Jordan Harvey. I fell in love with the soft color used on her cheeks and was hoping that the Sephora community might be able to make a recommendation on a blush that would dupe the blush used on Adelaide for the shoot.    I did a little digging and found that the exact blush used for the shoot was Au Naturale Cosmetics Organic Creme Blusher in Rose (a soft burgundy shade). Any recommendations for this little obsession of mine?       tags: blush, adelaide kane, rose, burgundy, au naturale, reign, cool, cool tone

I have a stye and am wondering if microwaving my beauty blender would get rid of the germs? I've microwaved before no problem but will it truly disinfect? I can't use antibacterial soap because it would just break me out when I use the beauty blender.

What is a good liquid foundation for combination skin, oily skin, that is light, and would cover up the redness of my skin? Looking for more coverage! I have only ever used powder as I have oily skin and didn't think that liquid would work for me but I want more coverage.
Nails Q&A
I was wondering if anyone knows any vegan nail polish brands? Both essie and OPI have told me that their polishes are "cruelty-free", but not if they're vegan.
Hair
Is there anything I can eat or do to help my hair grow faster?
Makeup
I recently picked 6 singles to customize my Buxom palette. Unfortunately 3 out of 6 are duds, not showing up whatsoever. Is it possible for me to return only those 3 or do I have to return the whole palette? Thanks a lot!

I was previously using sephora hydrating and smooth liquid foundation in R35. Since it is no longer available for purchase which other foundation is equivalent to it. Thanks in advance
Face Q&A
I have heard good things about Cliniques Take Off the Day Cleansing Balm... I really want to purchase it but I want to hear what you guys think of it first!
Face Q&A
I'm looking for a great concealer and foundation that does not make my face look cakey around my problems areas. I want something that blends into your skin really well and looks natural with good coverage. (preferably powder foundation, creamy or liquid concealer)
Face Q&A
I'm hoping someone can help me, It seems like not matter what foundation I use it always ends up looking cakey around my nose, upper lip, and chin area after a couple of hours. I have an oily T-zone but at the same time my skin tends to peal around my nose. I've used many different primers, and have used many foundation. The one I am using right now is Marc Jacobs, and it ends up looking the same as all the other foundations I've tried. I've used brushes and a beauty blender but nothing helps. Can someone please help me?   Thank you!

It's getting pretty hot where I live, and I think it's important for me to get a better sunscreen-right now I use a tinted moisturizer with spf 15, but I don't know if that's enough.  Are there any drugstore brands of sunscreen that won't have that horrible smell that never goes away?  Also, when should I apply it in my makeup routine? (I use a moisturizer, primer, and tinted moisturizer, then a setting powder)  Thanks!!   ps. I have dry skin-I don't know if that makes any difference with sunscreen.  Thank you!
Face Q&A
Hello ladies!      I am in desperate need of your help. I am on the hunt for a foundation (and/or concealer combo) that will not crease or break up on my face. Recently I've noticed that my old stand-by's tend to break up or crease heavily around my nose and eyes.       I've spent far more than I probably should have trying to find a combination of primers, foundations, powders etc to stop the issue. I've ensured that they're all match based (oil, water), tried some YouTube techniques, even bought new brushes because I thought my beauty blender wasn't hacking it anymore.      I'm fed up and swimming in a sea of foundations that don't seem to want to cooperate. Any ideas and suggestions would be great!     Thank You!
Face Q&A
I should have looked into this before buying - I love their HD foundation and am now wondering how animal friendly they are. Anyone have any insight? TIA
Oily Skin
I used to have dry patches and oily skin, but I've switched to using Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb, May Coop Raw Sauce, Son & Park Beauty Water, and I use St Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub as a cleanser. My skin has stopped being dry, but it's still oily. It's not as oily as it used to be but I really want to find a way or product(s) that would help my face not be so oily or shiny during the day. Also, I don't wear makeup.
Hair
Hello everyone! I am ten months postpartum and in need of product recommendations to encourage my very long, fine hair to grow back. It started falling out like crazy after my little guy was born (as it does to everyone who's had a baby). I wear it in a ponytail/messy bun most days, but on occasion I'll straighten it or style it in a donut bun, and all I can focus on are the little devil horns all around my face from new growth. It's lost a lot of body, and while I don't usually go for "lift"-style volume, I do miss the little that I did have. Does anyone have a product that they love? I don't wash my hair every day (usually 2-3x a week) and haven't for a long time (except when the munchkin was a very newborn and I needed to feel a little bit human!). It does tangle fairly easily, and I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I actually don't brush it very often, either. Thanks!

I was looking to buy the Nars creamy concealer but I'm not too sure which shade would fit my skin tone best. I would go to an actual Sephora store but its a bit far. Thanks for any help!
Face Q&A
My foundation/concealer has been flaking off under my eyes and leaving a spot without makeup which ruins my whole look, what can I do to stop this??
Acne
I've been maintaining my complexion with ProActiv which has done wonders for my skin.  Recently though, I will get flare ups and my face will still break out with stubborn acne that I can't get rid of for days or weeks using ProActiv and other spot treatments.  I was wondering which Kate Somerville product would be best for acne prone/oily skin: The Detox daily cleanser or the Eradikate mark foam-activated treatment?
