I was swirling my powder brush in my Guerlain Meteorites and a lone ball jumped out of my tin and into the sink! OMG, nooooooooooo!!! So I picked up the little bugga, and put him on a kleenex to dry. I can't even think about putting him back in my tin with the clean balls. But I also can't bear to think about throwing him in the trash. He is a lone ranger sitting on the counter. He is white and sparkly btw.
Hey Ladies, I hate to bother, but could anyone buy a $25 dollar item for me online because I don't have a credit card (15-years-old)! I'll PM you the info, etc. and I'll send you CC in an envelope (I have an online shop that uses CC so it's always worked out). Please! I promise I'll pay you back but I've been wanting this Guerlain bronzer forever and it's on sale! I mean it's GUERLAIN. por favor. xoxo, Kelly
Can I just say that I got mine today and I want to stick my entire face in it and just rub it around. It smells SO good! And the colors... ohh the colors, be still my heart. It's my new favorite toy. Anyone else get their hands on it yet?? What do you guys think?
Heh, I just lost 40-50 hearts in the last 20 min, so either someone suddenly decided that they REALLY don't like me, or some threads I got really passionate on got deleted. Which reminded me of something: - Can you please notify the original poster when a thread is closed or deleted? I know mods move threads around to appropriate sections, and recently have started to post a note about closed threads, but last time one of my thread was closed, it was done quietly and since I made the thread, I would like to be notified if it's closed. - Can we/the poster please have the option to edit the title of the thread? I'm not sure how easy/difficult this would be, but it would be very much appreciated if we can have this option. - Can we please please please have the subscription page somewhere obvious? It's almost impossible to find it. I subscribe to threads I'm interested in but it takes me ages to find the page where we manage our subscriptions. Perhaps put a little icon beside the PM on our side profile? or some link on our main profile page? And the font color / size / family still don't work . I would appreciate the option to make my posts pretty. Thanks!

Thought I would try my hand at questions this time. Here goes... 1. Do you celebrate Christmas or some other gift-giving holiday this time of year? 2. Have you purchased anything from Sephora to give as a gift? If so, what? 3. Share one good thing that's brightened your day today (it's OK to say nothing if you've had a particularly crappy day). 4. What's your favorite mascara? 5. What is your ideal career? 6. Do you have any siblings (half siblings count)? If so, do you get along with them? 7. Share one of your favorite holiday traditions (if you have any). Here are mine: 1. I celebrate Christmas. 2. Not so far... 3. A text conversation I just had with my mother in walkie talkie lingo, where we addressed each other as "[work name] slave." 4. Right now I'm digging Sephora's Full Action mascara but I can be swayed. 5. Recording artist (preferably with my band) 6. I have a sister that I mostly get along with, even though she's my polar opposite in almost every sense. 7. One of my favorite things to do is go for a walk with my entire family on Christmas night to a particular street where everyone owns a huge house and the Christmas lights/displays/décor is insane. One house is so completely covered in lights it's dizzying to look at. Ok, enough of me. Let's hear about you!
My too faced chocolate bar palette arrived (like a half hour ago), and I just wanted to share my opinion for those considering it. Overall, I've seen some good reviews online, however there were some people that were kind of iffy on some of the shade formulations. I briefly swatched my palette and have to say I'm pretty impressed. Now remember I haven't actually worn it on my eyes yet though...but swatching, most of the shadows were really soft and buttery, definitely have great pigment. The only shadows that I think had a slightly drier texture were the ones with the micro glitter in them (candied violet, black forest truffle, and cherry cordial) . The metallic and mattes are excellent. The texture of the three micro glitters I mentioned is not a deal breaker for me, and most likely for my purposes those colors would be more of accent colors as opposed to the ones that carry the palette. One last note though is that you have to be a fan of browns for this to please you. Even swatching, I was having trouble discerning the differences of the shades unless I inspected closely....for example Hazelnut, Haute Chocolate, and Amaretto looked very similar to me at first. However when swatching them together I saw Amaretto has a slightly pinkish sheen to it and the other two are gold and bronze sheens. If you want a good collection of browns this is your set.
Okay so I used to have decent eyebrows naturally, but one day I got overzealous with my tweezers and ruined them. My brows used to be twins but now they're like sisters (maybe cousins). For whatever reason I can't color match a product for my eyebrows to save my life (and neither can the SAs at Sephora)! I need a brow powder/brow gel/brow product match. Any suggestions?
Howdy ladies! After all the good deals this yr I've completely exhausted my spending and any reason to buy anything. I will be on a no buy until mid-Jan (if Jan really is skincare month then that means I've still got 15 days after that for whatever promo, no excuse!) My Christmas/New Year resolution is to spend just enough to qualify for VIB for the rest of the year , and I'm going to try fund most of it through Swagbucks/Bing Rewards/Ebates (PM me if you want to know more about those sites). With that said, this is a no buy thread for the first 30 days, a palate cleanser if you will, for next year. Anyone/everyone is welcome to join me. This is not meant to bash any particular products, but if you post then I'll give you reasons why you should delay the purchase, consider the alternative, or why you don't need it. I will keep all my disabling to this thread, so please, ladies, let's not turn this into an enable thread . =P Now then, will I succumb to exciting advertisements and fancy packaging? or will I hold onto my will power and succeed in actually saving some money?
Wow. Who knew I would be so close before the ending of this year. I think it's mainly due to all the xmas gifts I bought from Sephora. I know everyone has been having mixed feelings about Rouge but I'm excited to reach this level because I enjoy shopping at Sephora so much. I think it's time for me to go out and buy the Naked 3! I'm just glad I didn't force myself to buy things I didn't need to finally reach Rouge. How did you feel when you hit Rouge? Or how far are you from it if you haven't hit it yet?
Hey Ladies, I just went into Nordstrom's yesterday and saw the most tacky and ugly pink sequined dress on the planet (in my opinion) and look at the price tag and it's $2,230. THAT'S RIDICULOUS IMO. I don't care who made it ,it was disgusting. Did anyone ever see a beauty product, clothing, etc where you had to hold back laughter and disgust because you could never imagine anyone buying it for that much if so, please tell me what it was and the price. xoxo, Kelly P.S I'm not trying to offend anyone who would buy something like that for that price, I just have a different style and budget.

Okay ladies, I have hit the jackpot!! I have recently began putting Castor oil on my eyelashes for the last week, twice a day and they are so much nicer!! Before: really curly average length eye lashes, that were sparse. The bottom eye lashes were almost non existent. Now: eye lashes are longer, and I don't think they are thicker, but it seems like I have a lot more. My bottom eye lashes are longer and they are finally noticeable!! I look right now how I would if I put on one coat of light mascara! I am going to continue doing this for a few months until I get the length I desire. I hope that it's not a life long maintenance thing bc that is annoying. I purchased the Castor oil from an Indian grocery store, but I'm sure you can get it anywhere. It was cheap, $3 for a HUGE bottle. I put a bit in a jar and every day I use my eye lash comb to put some through on my eyelashes. I put very little on bc I don't want to risk it getting into my eyes. I also dip a finger into the oil and put it under my eyes to try and lighten my undereye circles since it claims to help that. My eyes do get a glossy shiny look to them, but I don't mind it as I am working from home and I never used any eye make up while wearing the castor oil. A little goes a long way, I dipped the comb into the oil a few days ago and I haven't put it back in the jar since. The oil is very thick in consistency so it doesn't run. My sister is now massaging this into her hair since it claims to increase hair growth and her hair is always falling out and thinning.
I'm a total lipstick junkie, but I hate dealing with the aftermath! Whatever lipstick I use (Estee Lauder, Lancome, Revlon, Bite Beauty), my lips get this weird coating at the end of the day. The coating balls up and can be rubbed off. I know it's not my lips drying out; there's no discomfort or tightness, and I always apply a lip balm beforehand. I don't apply thick coats of lipstick either, because I'm a fan of using lipstick as a natural stain. It's so annoying! I have to exfoliate my lips after only a couple hours of wear, when the lipstick can easily last longer than that. Reapplying more layers of lipstick or lip gloss doesn't really help. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Where you finally know what you want? (even if it's somewhat vague) I had one of those today. I know that I want: to go to school (i turned 26 in the fall but better late then never) a truck ( yeah, i'm 5"3 but whatever ) to fix my credit and get a credit card again to learn how to skate well to learn how to play the violin to stick to a healthy way of eating (so those extra pounds with come off) a new fashionable wardrobe (in a smaller size ^) and more make up What do you want? (It can be anything )
I was looking at these for a long time, but for some reasons never really got into them and didn't pull the trigger... I have a few questions for you all about them! 1. Do they ever dry out your lips? 2. How long do they last? thanks in advanced :*
I have extremely oily skin in my T-Zone as well. I literally have tried The Becca Ever Matte Primer, MUFE Mat Velvet +, Nars the Matte foundation, I've tried almost all of the oil-free and oily skin drugstore foundations. I need some serious advice... Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I have to powder within 1-2 hours of applying my makeup. Also, I have acne prone skin, and I feel like giving up. Please, help a girl out!
I have a very sensitive skin and slightly oily.. Please help me by suggesting face wash, toner, moisturizer for day and night and night cream.. Products that are not too expensive would be extra nice.. Thank you!
Hey everyone! My skin is very fair and I am trying to find a bronzer. I have heard a lot about Benefit Hoola and the Too Faced milk chocolate bronzer. But my question is which one of these is lighter in color?
hello! i wanted to try some products sold in sephora for my extremely chapped lips....i've tried burt's bees chapstick, the brand chapstick, maybelline my baby lips, etc. nothing is working very well for me. i prefer a tube-like product, so i don't have to dip my fingers in the actual product, but please PLEASE help! thanks so much! happy holidays! xo
If you got a $50 Sephora gift card this very second, and what would you buy? Personally, I would maybe get the Nars blush in Mata Hari and anorther MJB nail polish? They've both been on my list for a while... http://www.sephora.com/blush-P2855?skuId=221382 http://www.sephora.com/enamored-hi-shine-nail-lacq uer-P380707?skuId=1511328
I was wondering if a mod could please help me When will the Nars Ita brush #21 come back in stock? I've been wanting this brush for a while now and I'd prefer to purchase it from Sephora. I talked with Nordstrom's and they aren't planning on carrying it anymore ( muuuwahhhh I'm not sure if NARS is discontinuing this brush… Seems unlikely as it's really popular.
I'm considering buying a backup for the Chantecaille Rose Petals highlighter because it's my HG highlighter and LE. But it's $74 and I'm having some trouble pulling the trigger. I can't help but think that in a year I'll have found a new favorite highlighter and will regret my $74 purchase. Just FYI, I own all of the favorite highlighters (the Balm Mary Lou, Nars Albatross, BECCA shimmering skin, High Beam, Watts Up, the MAC limited edition Archie one, Nars Copacabana and 2 hourglass ambient light powders) and nothing has compared to the Chantecaille. What do you guys think? What are your 'standards' for buying a backup of a limited edition product? What backups do you currently have waiting in the wings?
