Face Q&A
I should have looked into this before buying - I love their HD foundation and am now wondering how animal friendly they are. Anyone have any insight? TIA
Oily Skin
I used to have dry patches and oily skin, but I've switched to using Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb, May Coop Raw Sauce, Son & Park Beauty Water, and I use St Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub as a cleanser. My skin has stopped being dry, but it's still oily. It's not as oily as it used to be but I really want to find a way or product(s) that would help my face not be so oily or shiny during the day. Also, I don't wear makeup.
Hair
Hello everyone! I am ten months postpartum and in need of product recommendations to encourage my very long, fine hair to grow back. It started falling out like crazy after my little guy was born (as it does to everyone who's had a baby). I wear it in a ponytail/messy bun most days, but on occasion I'll straighten it or style it in a donut bun, and all I can focus on are the little devil horns all around my face from new growth. It's lost a lot of body, and while I don't usually go for "lift"-style volume, I do miss the little that I did have. Does anyone have a product that they love? I don't wash my hair every day (usually 2-3x a week) and haven't for a long time (except when the munchkin was a very newborn and I needed to feel a little bit human!). It does tangle fairly easily, and I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I actually don't brush it very often, either. Thanks!

Face Q&A
Hello ladies!      I am in desperate need of your help. I am on the hunt for a foundation (and/or concealer combo) that will not crease or break up on my face. Recently I've noticed that my old stand-by's tend to break up or crease heavily around my nose and eyes.       I've spent far more than I probably should have trying to find a combination of primers, foundations, powders etc to stop the issue. I've ensured that they're all match based (oil, water), tried some YouTube techniques, even bought new brushes because I thought my beauty blender wasn't hacking it anymore.      I'm fed up and swimming in a sea of foundations that don't seem to want to cooperate. Any ideas and suggestions would be great!     Thank You!
Face Q&A
My foundation/concealer has been flaking off under my eyes and leaving a spot without makeup which ruins my whole look, what can I do to stop this??
Acne
I've been maintaining my complexion with ProActiv which has done wonders for my skin.  Recently though, I will get flare ups and my face will still break out with stubborn acne that I can't get rid of for days or weeks using ProActiv and other spot treatments.  I was wondering which Kate Somerville product would be best for acne prone/oily skin: The Detox daily cleanser or the Eradikate mark foam-activated treatment?
Makeup
A few years ago I bought my mother Dior Addict Lip Polish in Fresh Expert for Christmas and she loved it. She loved the color and the feel and everything about it. She asked me to get it again, but it appears to be discontinued. Is anyone familiar with this product and know of a good replacement product in a similar color? Thanks!
Dry Skin
I've been using BareMinerals BarePro powder foundation for a few weeks now. Unfortunately, it's itchy and makes my skin feel tight. I'm not sure if it's the combination of the products I'm using or the BarePro itself that's irritating my skin but I really love this foundation and want to make it work. Here's my morning make up/skin care routine. - Cleanse with FAB's pure cleanser (morning and night) - Tone with Jurlique's rosewater spray (morning and night) - Moisturize with L'Octaine light moisturizer (morning and night) - Prime with BareMineral's original primer - Buff on BarePro - Buff on BareMineral's original Mineral Veil - Finish with Urban Decay's chill setting spray   What do y'all think? Is it the foundation I'm using or the primer?
Acne
Does anyone know of any good products that can help get arid of stubborn acne?
Face Q&A
I am looking for a new foundation and I found the 10 hr wear perfection foundation.I was wondering if it would give me a natural airbrushed look.
Hair
Helloooo!! I am looking for a new hair dryer and I have a few questions and was wondering if anyone would be able to answer them. My first is the classic "ceramic or ionic" question. I have normal to thick wavy/curly hair that does take a bit more effort to blow dry smooth. I loooove volume and I read somewhere that ceramic is better for volume but I feel like ionic would be better for my hair type because it's curly. Additionally, I can imagine that I would be able to create the desired amount of volume with a little help from my plumping mousse and velcro rollers if I had an ionic dryer. I also keep seeing words like "tourmaline" "nano titanium" and "titanium", can someone please clarify what they mean exactly?? I have my eye on the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium Portofino (info is right here if you are not familiar  http://www.babylissus.com/product.php?pcID=206_153 &product_id=132 ) but I was also wondering which hair dryers you guys like the best/would be good for my hair type! Thank you One last thing, does anyone know any good hairsetters?? Babyliss makes hot rollers and I am looking for a nice set of PRO hot rollers, but it seems like not that many brands carry them, if you happen to know of any hot rollers that would be lovely. Thank you!! xoxo
Acne
What should I use for adult acne? I am in my upper 20's and have tried everything, Pro Active, No Zit Sherlock, Derma Doctor and even over the counter brands at target. It's all below my nose, so I'm told it's hormonal. My skins dries easily, but I am just looking for something to clear up my acne!!! Help!

My mom asked for a fluffy powder brush for Christmas and said that since she's getting older (late 40s) she can't just use the puff that comes with it anymore because it settles into lines so she needs a fluffy brush to blend it out. I was thinking about it and I think maybe she needs a primer instead (I'm going to get a brush anyways but I might also get her a primer). Are there primers that cater to her issue or is there a different solution?    side note: in terms of makeup she only uses a light layer of powder (I think it's l'oreal) and sometimes tinted lip balm, nothing else
Oily Skin
I have really oily skin and I am trying to find products to help balance it and also a foundation that is best for oily skin. I use Make Up Forever Mat Velvet + Mattifying foundation but I do not feel it is really doing much for me. Any Recommendations?
Face Q&A
Applying foundation is one makeup technique that could take a lifetime to perfect. But seriously, who has a lifetime? I've started this thread to see what everyone does to apply their foundation.   For me, personally, I usually just use my fingers. I've found that using my fingers warms up the product and makes it easier to blend over my face without having to use too much and ending up with a gunky and caked on look.    Post your technique and any tips you may have for applying your favorite foundation
Combo / Normal Skin
I'm 21 years old and have had oily skin - no doubt in the world that my face is an oil slick. Within the last year I have noticed my skin starting to have dry areas as well as oil patches. I have no idea if this is how my skin has developed or I'm using products that are just making me dry. I have only had a handful on instances in which a product managed to make me dry.   Any suggestions on what skin care/ makeup i can use? I'm almost hesitant to completely change into combo products because I'm worried that this is just a weird time for me
Face Q&A
How to get a perfect glow makeup? What products do you need? Please lists me some products for this makeup look ( not that expensive ). I would like to try a new makeup look, i want to look tan and have this good highlight/glow.
Lips Q&A
I have this really big cold sore on my lip. Have you heard anything about how it can heal quicker so I can (finally) put on some lip gloss?
Lips Q&A
I really want to start wearing a red lip more often, but every time I try on a red lipstick it turns an awful hot pink color! I'm very fair with pink undertones and I'm tired of wasting money on reds that don't stay red. Any help from someone who may have the same problem would be very much appreciated
Face Q&A
Hey there! I currently am trying to find a new everyday foundation as my lovely KVD is quite heavy and my skin is starting to react to it, maybe because it's getting cold outside, I don't know.   I am pretty pale, like ghostly, more on the pink side. I'd really love to see swatches of Cover FX in N0 and in P10, MUFE HD and Water Blend in R210, and anything that could be like, REALLY pale and pinkier, next to KVD's foundation in L42 or MUFE Mat Velvet in #15. Actually, I'm not even sure if R210 is very pale, I only tried Y205 a whole day and I didn't feel like my usual self because it is yellow.   I really need a light coverage. I also still have my white mixer if I can't get my hand on something perfect, tho I'd prefer not having to use a lot. Thank you!
Eyes Q&A
suggestions on eyeliner color for very blue eyes & blond hair? My go to shadow color is all the glimmers by MAC which is a beige golden pearl/shimmer.
Makeup
So I want to buy a foundation as a gift for my mom who is in her late 50s. I know she used CHANEL #22 before but she wants to try something new. Her skin type is oily. Any suggestions? Because there's no CHANEL makeup here I don't know how to find foundations with similar color.

Eyes Q&A
Hi everyone! I usually just browse, but have never had many questions, until now, lol I have the urban decay primer potion in original hourglass veil mineral primer nars radiant creamy concealer and laura mercier translucent setting powder and the urban decay setting spray also as a reference i have attached a pic of my eye without anything and with. i have some very fine lines nothing too crazy, but lots of purple ( runs in family )  i am 30.   I have googled like crazy, browsed youtube, and no matter what I try, I CAN'T find a solution to this problem anywhere. I don't understand why, but no matter what this concealer cakes up on me HARDCORE. is it just not right for me??? is it the powder? i don't know what the issue is...sigh. I will be going to sephora this weekend to try to buy the right concealer but would like your opinions and advice. i don't want to keep having to go and exchanging all the time and the closest sephora to me is not that close lol so yeah, as soon as I put concealer and setting powder on, within a few minutes, the concealer breaks apart no matter/cracks/sets into fine lines.horribly. my other makeup is fine. as a reference if it helps in you helping me, my HG foundation that i love and my skin seems to love is the MUFE Ultra HD. i wear shade y225. i moisturize and prime, yada yada yada.  i don't think i am doing anything wrong.  The only thing I have read online that possibly makes sense is people with drier skin seem to not do well with the Nars concealer. my skin isn't particularly dry but it's definitely on the drier then oilier side. so maybe that is why...i really don't know. ugh i rambled on a lot, your turn now!
All Other Skincare Concerns
I really want to buy a Clarisonic Mia but I'm afraid that it might stimulate the hair on my face to grow thicker. I really don't want my peach fuzz to become more noticeable.    I read this online: Topical hair growth  is caused by sustained surface irritation to an area. These methods can stimulate the blood supply to an area, bringing more nourishment to the area. This can stimulate hair growth.    Has this happened to anyone using the Clarisonic?
Face Q&A
Recently I've noticed my foundation leaves an extreme patchy cakey finish on my face (not cute whatsoever). I feel like I've tried so many foundations & primers from Sephora and cannot find the perfect combination or foundation for that matter. The primer I've used is too faced hangover and smash box pore minimizer. I've tried bare minerals matte foundation, tarte Amazonian clay, lancome, too faced born this way. NOTHING WORKS!!! I even set my face with a translucent powder and use urban decay make up spray. I'm dry around the corners of my nose, but extremely oiley in my t-zone, especially around the corners of my mouth. If anybody can give me a recommendation on anything I'd really appreciate it!!

Hello,   I am interested in a new under eye concealer brush and am looking at either the Kat Von D Lock it Edge Concealer Brush or Marc Jacobs The Concealer Brush. The shape of both these look fairly similar. I have the Sephora Pro 57 brush which works quite well but was interested in something with a different shape. Would you recommend going with the Kat Von D brush or the Marc Jacobs?   Thank you!
Eyes Q&A
What do you use eyebrow gel for? I got some in a makeup kit but I am not really sure what to do with it. What do you use it for?
