HI, I am going away next week and I am in search for a foundation that looks great in flash photography. I currently use Vitalumiere Aqua (Chanel) and I am quite happy with it but I look awful in pictures. I have very sensitive skin that tends to be on the dry side and I tend to break out with new products. I tried the new MUFE water blend foundation and it made my face greasy, and it made my face look very pale in flash photos. I did love the feel of it. Can you recommend any products that are: -lightweight -medium coverage -wont cause me to break out -looks great in flash photos. Thank you so much!
I have normal/combination skin with normal cheeks and nose, dry mouth and eye area, and an oily forehead. But whenever I wear foundation, it completely dries out my face (especially my cheeks, mouth area, and eye area) and makes it feel really tight. I make sure to layer my skincare and put on moisturizer underneath, but I still feel dry. So far I've tried the Smashbox bb cream, Smashbox bb water, Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation, and the Custom Cover fx drops mixed with the Maybelline blur and smooth primer (which I wear under all my foundations). Does anyone have any good hydrating primers or makeup tricks that could help with this? Or do you have any suggestions on lightweight light-medium coverage foundations I could try (preferably $50 and under with a decent shade range; I have dark skin)?
I'm looking for a product that will hydrate my skin from being dry and being oily when its hot or humid outside. my t zone can get oily so i want to know what's the best pick? also please tell me the difference between laura's tinted moisturizer broad spectrum and the oil free?
I'm 19. I have deep skin and I have a lot of dark spots from acne scarring. I don't get pimples too often but when I'm stressed I find that my skin breaks out. My skin keeps marks for a while and I don't know what to use as a cleanser, treatment, or moisturizer. I'm using clearasil right now the acne cream works a little but, it dries my skin. HELP!
Hi! I have a very sensitive skin and lately I am having quite a hard time with it. I am 40 (already!) and still have acne (little, very deep under the skin type of pimples, not exactly what you see on those acne treatment informercials). It will breakout for several reasons (hormone, heat, stress...) I followed different treatment for that (even with a dermatologist) and I found out that, because my skin is very sensitive, using acne treatment actually make it worst somehow...my combination skin is often mistaken for a very oily one because as soon as I use something too strong my skin get's oily to cope with the harsh ingredients. So, I am looking for new products for my skin because what I am using right now cause my skin to breakout a lot and my skin is itchy. I am using clinique products (the more gentle soap, the no.2 clarifying lotion, the turnaround revitalizing serum and the moisturizing gel). I am using the Neutrogena CC cream instead of a fondation. Usually when I combine a very gentle soap with very light moisturizing I am doing fine. I would like to know the products that may be better for me (from soap to moisturizer), which BB or CC cream to use, well, which skin care would make my skin better. I know my skin is not typical but maybe that might help other women that also have a very difficult skin. It's hard to find a product that will soothe and prevent acne, help with those first wrinkles as well as be gentle on a skin that won't put up with ingredients that are too strong. Thank you so much for your help! Ps. I hope the writing is not too bad, english is my second langage
I am shopping for a flat iron and I was considering the Drybar Tress Press, until I saw the Babyliss Nano Titanium Digital Straightening Iron, which is $50 cheaper, and I noticed they look nearly identical except with different labels and are in different colors. This made me think that those two irons could be essentially the same product but with different labels slapped onto them. I wonder if these two irons have the same manufacturer? I know that different brands of makeup have the same manufacturers so some makeup products are pretty much the same, but does this apply to hair tools as well? Take a look at the pictures, what do you guys think?
I am currently in the process of switching foundations and have been trying out different shades in the Dior Forever Perfect line. 040 was too dark so I tried 035, but the undertones seem a bit too neutral (I have yellow undertones). What are the official undertones for 034 and 035,? I cant find them anywhere online.
I need a new moisturizer for the winter. I have very dry skin that peels but my skin can also be very oily. I need a moosturizer that is going to help my makeup last all day and not look oily. But I also need something that helps with my dry and sensitive skin. Any recommendations?
Hi, I am 12. I always watch juicystar07 and allthatglitters21 on youtube. They have inspired me so much to make a beauty guru channel, but am I too young? I also watch addicted2toofaced, and she is pretty young. I dont know also how to ask my mom and how to tell my friends. Please give me some advice, it would be so helpful! Thanks!
Hi experts! I'm 38 years old and I have super super dry skin with fine wrinkles and a loss of firmness. I've been using the "drunk elephant serums (for day and night)" and the "perricone face finishing moisturizer" on top The "face finishing moisturizer" is not hydrating enough for me in fall, when the humidity drops and the heater takes away the rest of the humidity. I was thinking to switch to either "Perricone hypoallergenic nourishing moisturizer" or "Peter Thomas Roth mega rich intensive anti aging". What do you think? What works best with my drunk elephant serums? Should I switch to moisturizer for daytime and a richer version for night time? Thanks so much in advance!!!
Hello! I'm looking for a tool to use with my Diorskin Nude Compact. The sponge it came with is longer usable... Are there any recommended sponges good for pressed powder? Or brushes? I've been searching for forever on the sephora website and out of luck. Thanks in advance!
Hi all, So I know this is super bad - but I have never really looked after my skin at all. Like, ever. Until now, I've only ever really washed my face whenever I shower, and if I am removing eye make-up (I don't wear make-up often). My skin isn't terrible, I've never had issues with acne, but it's not great either. I look tired a lot of the time, parts of it are very dry, and I'm at the point where I'd like to start taking care of it while I'm young and it's easier to do so. Thing is, I don't even really know where to begin. All my mother ever taught me was to use a bar of soap to wash my face everyday. I did this in the past, and all it really did was dry out my skin, which was why I stopped. I've also tried various stuff from the aisles in Shoppers Drug Mart, but those products always seemed to cause problems for me. I also only ever used cleansers, and didn't know until recently that you were supposed to moisturize too(?). Anyways, if anyone can give me a really good idea about what products to try and what sort of regimen to use I'd super appreciate it!! (Oh and I think I have combination skin - parts of my face are very dry, other parts kind of oily, so I guess that would be the type of skin products I'd be looking for)
I know that the Nars Sheer Glow is technically water based, but being as the second ingredient is a silicone I'm wondering if I'd be able to avoid having my makeup pill/bead/generally apply weirdly with the Hourglass primer despite the fact that it's mineral/silicone based. Has anyone tried this combo before? I'm also looking into the Smashbox Photo Finish Light primer but I'm very scared about switching up so much of my base makeup with my skin's pretty unrelenting sensitivity (other than being sensitive my skin is combo-oily but I'm not afraid of needing to blot or powder). Thanks!
I am getting good, but uneven, growth from using Latisse, but not much volume. The bad thing is my lashes are now growing crooked. Has anyone found a mascara that does a good job of adding the volume and straightening? I don't really need added length at this point.
I've been using Urban Decay's Naked concealer for a while and although I love the formula, I absolutely cannot stand the chemical smell it has! I've used Too Faced's Born This Way (thought it was too sticky and shiny) and NARS Creamy concealer (thought it was too dry and cakey) so I'd prefer something more of a light-medium coverage that isn't too drying or too sticky. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advanced!
I have previously gotten 1R02 on the Color IQ chart, and it's not too dark, but it looks way too yellow on me. I have dry skin, and want a medium-to-full coverage foundation. Any color/foundation recommendations? Thanks to all suggestions.
Hi everyone! I was hoping you all could give me some recommendations for a good medium coverage, quick to apply, every day foundation. For days when I need/want more coverage I use Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ which I love! For days when I have less time or want less coverage I'm currently using Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream. I love the ease with which it can be applied but I'd like a bit more coverage as well as more help in controlling oil. I have very pale skin which has made foundation shopping difficult in the past (MUFE MV #15). It seems like so many lines just don't offer shades light enough for my skin tone. I have combination skin that tends to get pretty oily on my nose and chin. Also, I use the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and, even though its expensive, I haven't found anything that works better. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
I need help finding a foundation for everyday use. I have tried dozens and can not find the right one. I have read that for acne prone skin to try a tinted moisturizer but did not like the coverage it gave me. Everything I try either breaks me out or is not enough coverage. Help please!!
I am looking for a new foundation to purchase, unfortunately I don't exactly know my skin tone because I don't have any local Sephora stores. Currently I am using Dior star fluid foundation in the color 010 ivory. I was wondering what my color would be in the Kat Von D Lock it foundation and the Giorgi Armani Luminous silk foundation. Thanks!
Hi! I have a bad habit of not wearing sunscreen but I just moved to the high desert and it's clearly necessary. How much spf do I need and can you recommend a sunscreen or moisturizer with spf (sephora or drugstore) that isn't greasy, won't cause acne, and can be worn smoothly under makeup? And on that note, should I wear foundation primer over the sunscreen? Thanks.
