I have combination skin threw a dry phase . So all my powders look gross and unnatural . I was thinking of switching to liquid or tinted moisturizer but don't know where to start what do you recommend for a natural illuminating glow for this face of a mess?
Hey guys! I have a question. I am looking to purchase the cover fx custom cover drops and I need help with a shade match. I am in shade porcelain in the Bobbi Brown foundation stick and I looked online at the sephora color iq and it said that color P10 would be a good match for me. But, of course they don't carry that color in the drops version. So, could someone suggest another shade for me? i was thinking either N10 or P20. I am normally a classic ivory in most foundations. Thanks
Hi guys, I am excited about travelling to Shanghai this summer! What are some good Asian skincare and makeup products that I should check out while I'm there? I know a lot of Korean, Japanese, and Chinese brands are available in Shanghai. For reference, I have NC15 combination acne-prone skin, and like natural-looking makeup. I am trying to avoid fragrance if possible. It's ironic that I am asking this because I have lived in Shanghai for 15 years. I am Asian but have very little knowledge about Asian beauty products!
I'm 16. My dress is (most-likely going to be) mint and long, my hair will probably be up/curled. My skin is very, very pale but a couple days before I'll be using Tarte's Brazilliance self-tanner, so I'll still be fair but slightly bronzed. I have dark brown hair, freckles, and green eyes. I want some kind of contour, not really sure how extreme. Not sure what eyeshadow colors to use--I have Naked 2 and 3 but I still have a while to purchase others if necessary. Also not sure what my lip color should be (in coordination to my eyeshadow). Another concern is if I should go for natural looking falsies+eyeliner or skip both. Thank you!
I am extremely pale with cool undertones/pinkish undertones and I have brown freckles. My hair is very dark brown and my eyes are a dark green. I'm completely lost on what color prom dress to get. Half of the people tell me a light color will wash me out and half tell me a dark color will wash me out! I will be self-tanning a few days before prom (not orange! Don't worry, I'm using a green-based tanner. Did my research) so I'll still be fair but slightly tanner if that affects anything. So what's a makeup look that doesn't really depend on the dress color but good for SLIGHTLY tanned fair skin, dark hair, green eyes?
I am only 30 and i have not shown any first signs of aging (wrinkles, sagging, bigger pores etc). The cream actually helps to control facial oil production. It moisturizes but not overly. But is it ok to keep using it when i do not have any signs of aging yet? Thank you.
I was hoping you guys would know. I contacted Bobbi brown about where they get their squalane source for their moisturizers, like their eye cream, and they haven't gotten back to me for several weeks now. I'm really hoping they don't source it from shark liver....
what are you no longer supporting the products you sell? What are customers of the Sephora Opi Gel Shine home gel system supposed to do about purchasing the nail color, top coats, base coats, etc., when you phase them out? You are leaving your customers in a bad position after they faithfully paid the full price for your at home gel system.
Hello Beautymates, I am 18years old I have acne its not too bad I know how to deal with the ups and down it brings but my skin it starting to have quite an uneven texture, very bumpy, and some of my pores are starting to look a little wonky any help or suggestions would be welcomed.
I wear Clinique stay-matte oil-free makeup (08 Golden Neutral) and would like to try the Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation but am not sure what color to use. None of the Sephora stores in Hawaii carry the Koh Gen Do brand so I can't test the color on my skin. Any ideas what color I can use?
I currently use Smashbox 15 hour hydrating foundation in shade 1.1 with Makeup For Ever full coverage concealer in shade 3. I find that no matter what concealer shade I have tried, it doesn't blend well into my foundation, and I more often than not, can see where my concealer has been applied as the day goes on. I need a concealer to cover a couple red blemish scars on my cheeks that haven't quite faded yet. Has anyone been matched with 2y04 and has found the perfect concealer for red marks, or does anyone here use Smashbox 1.1 and has found the perfect concealer to disappear with this foundation? I would appreciate any suggestions on concealer products, and tips on covering blemishes with this foundation IQ result and the Smashbox foundation.
Has anyone tried and compared Bumble and Bumble's Surf Foam Wash shampoo to John Frieda's Beach Blonde Cool Dip shampoo? I have tried B&B and know I like it, however it is a tad pricey. I love their new Surf Infusion spray compared to the original, so I'm not so interested in John Frieda's spray, despite it being a cult classic in its own right.
I would appreciate a recommendation for a replacement product for a discontinued one: Guerlain's Terracotta Blush & Sun Sheer Bronzing Blush in "Sunlight 01." I live 50 miles from the nearest Sephora, so don't have ability to make color comparisons in person.
I'm mac nc 20 for reference. I have normal/ combo skin but more on normal side, just a bit of shine in T-zone, we don't have sephora store in my country so I am getting it online. Hope it will match my shade and go well with my skin type. Also for NARS creamy radiant concealer, should I go for Vanilla or Custard? And last question, what primer should I use for my normal/combo skin under this foundation? Thanks in advance!
It's a very niche question (Oily/combo people, who've tried proactiv, who also received that same sample, liked it, managed to escape ProActiv, missed the oil control thing, and managed to find a dupe probably isn't very many people), but maybe someone will have something, or at least an idea to try? I tried the Murad Oil control, but it only does about 1/4 of the oil control the proactiv one does. I could probably just get it on eBay, but if I can avoid it I'd prefer to. I don't like the idea of, in some roundabout way, supporting a company that literally forces you to continue paying for their products. (I took them off of my paypal list, since the first person I talked to refused to cancel my account, so they sent the next box with a bill. Either I had to pay for the products or pay for return shipping.)
Just thought I'd post this for anyone who may be curious to try her foundation.. I've wanted to try it since it came out, but I have absolutely no idea what shade I'm in. She's now offering free samples to order from her site! Each set (light, medium, dark) comes with 4 shades each, so I'm sure there will be no trouble finding a shade, I just hope the formula is nice

I was in search of a great setting powder and I always do my research. I ended up buying the YSL Matte and Radiance Pressed Powder. I have used it twice and I don't see a big difference after applying it and definitely not in keeping me matte. It was my high end splurge and I am disappointed. Has anyone tried it and have any suggestions of how to use it? I tried it with the puff that comes with it and a powder brush. I kind of pat it on after foundation.
I just bought the Rouge Cream lipstick in 1st night, from the sephora line, but got the wrong liner. I brought home the sephora nano pencil in 18 pinup pink. Swatches match, but not the actual colors. Any ideas? So far I love this color on my very pale, pink undertones, over 40 skin! so that's a plus :-)
A few days ago i decided to buy georgio armani luminous silk and i got shade matched to 4.5 and i liked it but than i was looking at myself in the car and my face looked slightly pinker and different from neck and body and i just got paranoid and was taking photos over and over again outside but i kept seeing my face a different shade than my neck so i decided to get rematched and i got matched to 5 and i was with my friend and we go outside and she says it looks fine and im looking at it and it looks good so im like okay its 5 but im doing my makeup at home and my foundation looks lighter than my neck i start comparing it to my other foundations which is fiji in sheer glow and on the website they are under the same iq number and they are both light on me but ive used fiji out in daylight and it looks good i match my neck and everything. today while testing i did my makeup at night and used flash to take the photos and non flash and in the flash photos i look much lighter and i sorta look lighter when looking in the mirror but not so much. should i be getting a darker shade for nars sheer glow i know i cant be punjab because ive seen punjab on others and its a tan shade but idk if maybe i should try 5.25 in GA(i dont want to try peachy or cool foundation shades)
heard that HD foundtion is excellent. Is it? How do I select a shade. Currently use clinque continuous coverage - ivory. have med-light skin tone and was told that I have blue understones and to use yellow tones as concealer. not even sure what that is anymore since that was a long time ago. any suggestions. also need a really good concealer to hide dark circles - use clinque brand that was discontinued. thank you much.
Does anyone have both of these? Can you comment on differences or similarities between them? I don't have either one but am thinking about getting one...or both. I have two other Chanel eyeshadow quads and love them-I have Poesie (fall limited release) and the Reve D'Orient holiday quad. I'm looking for a neutral, not overly shimmery (I'm in my 40's and light medium skin) that would work for everyday as well as evening. I thought about getting TF Golden Mink but that one is more glitter/sparkly than I want. Thanks in advance for anyone's input
