Hello BT! Today is August 1st and that means another month of hauls! This month is the 2x/3x/4x the points for BI,VIB and ROUGE respectively. This is a great time to stock up on points lost throughout the year! Please share your purchases! Remember, a haul is a haul no matter how big or small!
What makeup is everyone wearing today? Today I am wearing: 1. Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation in Champagne 2. Benefit Coralista blush 3. TheBalm Mary-Loumanizer 4. Dior Creme de Rose Lipbalm 5. Dior Addict Lipstick in 454 6. Benefit Creaseless Cream shadow in RSVP and under all this I am wearing Neutrogena Pure and Free Liquid Sunblock SPF 50 So c'mon now...confess!
So I was watching a youtube video of Vintageortacky and when I saw her Charlotte Tilbury blush, my jaw dropped. I had my eye on the YSL peachy one but .. this... just beats it, and can I say cute packaging? I wasn't going to jump on the CT bandwagon, but according to Cora this gives a nice natural peachy touch.. yep. This blush is called Ecstacy. And this one is the one Cora used called First Love.
Someone in a Facebook group posted this question, so now I'm curious to know how much YOUR face is worth! Add the price of everything you used! (You can add skincare if you want ) Today, my face is worth $139!
We've all seen this on youtube, if you haven't.. go do so and have a laugh - maybe I'm always laughing and thinking to myself that it'd be fun to try this. Sometimes I say "there's no way they can mess up that bad, come on.." So I decided, why not make a thread about it? I want to see pictures, be it one or a ton, to show how good we can apply makeup without a mirror - it's hard! I used all products I use when I do the works, which is almost every day. A lot of people know my liquid liner skills.. I used it here.. but it didn't come out as great as I wanted! If you're interested in the lipstick shade, it's Shanghai Express by NARS. Sorry for the lighting, it's either this or suffer a heatstroke in my bathroom (it's hot in there).
I have Green Eye's and Light to Med. Skin w/ Neutral Undertones ( that I feel lean more cool, but I could be way off base ). Never owned any of these pallets or Dior shadows ( I have 2 pot UD shadows that I have played with a bit ). Can y'all please tell me what you think would be best? I am SO stuck. Thought a/b the new NARS shadow but never committed b/c I haven't heard anyone saying anything else about them but did notice 1 color (that I think would be nice, lol) is out. SO, here we go : OR OR OR. Want to make sure the lighter colors show well & I don't have to "cake" it on. I want a n easy/fast and pretty way to do a wash of color to eye's or doll them up just a bit. So, what do y'all suggest? Y'all are experts on all these pallets & I have no clue !Thanks in Advance!
How about a little spin on "what are you wearing"? I'm putting myself out there right now with a not very flattering "before" and a much more forgiving "after." Come and join me in some transformation magic! Before: After: The Tools:
My love for Sephora continues. I was sent a comped, brand new, full sized Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel (launching 08-26-14) to review. I will use it for the first time tonight, so check back to this post if the product interests you.
This hasn't been started yet so I'll give it a go. Today is the last day that SiJCP has an extra 25% off clearance so I stopped in to poke around before I start up the smoker for tonight. I grabbed all these goodies for $30.
What are some products you regret NOT buying? For me, it's the Estee Lauder Heat Wave Illuminating Powder. I'm so mad because it's so pretty! I walked past it in stores so many times and now it's taunting me because a YouTuber mentioned it.
1. I got the soap and glory sexy mother pucker XL extreme plump collagen lip shine with collagen love this and I 2 .I got Too faced color bomb in candy 3. bareminerals free samples in PERFECTIOn promo code 4. free perfume and hair care samples

--closed-- Box of awesome high end items and unicorns, show me yours and I'll show you mine, lol. While I’m not “ancient”, I’ve been on BeautyTalk WAY longer than I ever expected and have made some very good friends….as well as been enabled into getting WAY more makeup, lol. It is getting a bit overwhelming and as much as I like pretty things, my style is more minimalist, so I don’t reaaally need 6 or 7 jars of Guerlain meteorites etc. To help revamp/reorganize my stash as well as having some fun with the awesome friends I’ve made, I’m doing the LUV TB. It contains lots of makeup that I love but never use, altho I couldn’t bear to part with any perfumes or majority of the skincare, so you ladies will have to make up for it along the way. Keep it classy, with high end and preferably new or lightly used things. No drugstores. Since it’s got tons of expensive items, I asked people I trust who are interested, so the box is closed. If it goes well, I may do another one next year when I've accumulated enough treasures. =P Expand below to see the rules, taken from the awesome roxystar4 and slightly simplified: Spoiler (Highlight to read) * Please make sure every item is in a plastic ziplock bag to prevent spills. A little bit about my skin: I am 24 and have combination/dry skin I am currently using Philosophy Time in a Bottle as my serum and am really liking it, however I am running out of it and looking to switch it up for a bit. I just don't want my skin to get too used to Time in a Bottle since I am still young and will probably really "need" it in the future lol. I do want a serum with anti-aging benefits and hydration is always a plus. Thanks for taking the time to read this! Looking forward to reading all the suggestions
I'm not sure if this counts as solicitation since I'm mentioning a website, so please delete if not allowed. But every once and a while I do some BSTing online and I end up with lots of money in my PayPal. Of course I want to spend it at Sephora. I like to...ummm...keep it secret from my husband and avoid transferring it into the bank account. I was always frustrated that I couldn't spend it directly at Sephora.com and I would end up gifting it to my sister, who would give me cash. But anyway, I just discovered the website Gyft, where you can use your PP balance to buy gift cards (electronic, I believe) to stores and Sephora is one of them! After some searching, I confirmed that they they are legit. I thought this would be helpful for those of you who like to use your PP balance to buy stuff. EDIT: juicytulip just pointed out "I do the same, although here on the Sephora site you can buy an egiftcard and check out with paypal. Cuts out the middle man! I usually send the gift card to myself--obviously." Thanks lady! I was totally unaware of this. So you don't even have to go to Gyft and create an account or anything, you can go through Sephora's site.
So, I really want to try a really vibrant violet lip color. I looked in past threads to get ideas but the last post was about a year ago and, let's be real, a whole lot of new makeup products come out in a year. So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions! I am not looking for anything dark or vampy. I am contemplating Too Faced Violet Melted Lipstick. If anyone has any other ideas I would really appreciate it!
Some campaigns from Charlotte Tillbury, Rodarte (Nars), Chanel and Dior (pics posted below) have featured pink/red/fuscia eyeshadows for their Fall campaigns. My question to all of you is, what are your makeup application tips for me to try that same trend and interpret for a casual day look? I may even want to wear that to work too. I don't want to look like I have a bruised eye or a puffy eye that has been crying all night. I"d like to be able to take my sunglasses off and look my friends in the eye at lunch and not get funny looks. Just for reference my complexion is pale with subtle yellow undertones but can pull more neutral at times. (3yo3, Chanel B10 or BR20 approx). Does anyone have shade recommendations? Application tips?? Thanks!
Have you guys seen these?! There are tons of shades and finishes to choose from, and you can build your own palette! I can't wait to try these; I wonder if Sephora will carry all of the shades? There are so many and I'd really like to go in and test a good chunk of them. http://www.sephora.com/artist-shadow-P387670?skuId =1622745
I don't know if I'm just picky.. But I'm so picky when it comes to foundations matching me well.. Does anyone else have that problem? I have foundations and they look good in some lighting, but in other kinds of lighting they look weird. Is that normal? Like is it normal for foundation colors to look different in different lighting? I went to the mall today, and I looked in the Clinique mirror and it had some lighting around it and I looked so yellow! Lol I was like geez this lighting is so unflattering or my foundation isn't a good match. I'm just so picky when it comes to foundation because I don't want to look like a clown lol
I had a friend ask me what I would consider basics for beauty and skincare as she is just starting out in the beauty world and is looking to get a regimen going. However being the beauty junkie that I am I am trying to narrow down a list for her. So what would you consider Cosmetic and Skincare basics?
Hi everyone! Okay so I recently visited my Sephora store, and I asked about a Acne cleanser or spot treatment. And the lady who attended to me gave me a sample of Peter Thomas Roth sulfur masque. Then she asked if I ever used a Clarisonic. I never did, or even thought about getting one. She went on to talk about how she highly recommends it to everyone, and it made me think I should invest in one! I do have acne prone skin..mostly hormonal breakouts. She said it would really help get my skin clean and free of any dirt/makeup laying on my skin after cleansing/exfoliating. i know you need to replace the brush after so long too. I am on the outs on getting one, I just need some input on what you guys think?? Do you think its a good investment?

I've always worn eyeliner on my top and bottom lids. Now that I'm 40, I'm thinking of changing things up a bit. I'm wondering if the liner on my bottom lid is too harsh, too much, you know? That being said, if I don't wear liner on my bottom lash line, I feel like my makeup is incomplete and my eyes just don't look right. Normally, I use pencil on my bottom lash line, UD's 24/7 to be exact. I've also tried using Clinique's bottom lash mascara, which I like....but to me, it looks a little "off" without liner to go with it. Should I try lining my bottom lash line with eye shadow instead? I'm thinking that might give me a softer look? What about my waterline? If I don't use liner on my waterline, I feel that I look weird. I've tried pencil, cream, and liquid liner in all different brands. I just want to find a look that will compliment me now that I'm in my 40's. I don't want to wear my eye makeup the way I did in my 20's because it makes me look like I'm trying too hard.....if that makes sense? Anyway.....any advice or tips y'all could send my way would be wonderful!
I got an interview, guys! I'm, as they say, scaroused. I'm so scared to mess up! What do I wear?? Should I put on a bit more makeup to show them I'm a serious addict? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
I thought it'd be fun to create a thread where we share our 'mask faces'! I'd love to see how lovely & silly you all look with masks on It'd be great if you mention the name of the mask you are using as well! I'll start things off! Tonight I am using the Lush Magnaminty mask
