hey, i am currently a community college student who really saved up for this 20% annul sale ( for saving some money of course). I have to work to pay my tuition, so i don't have that much to spend for my own things. I am waiting for this 20% off for several months already. I hope someone could do me a fever and send my a code for it ! please it it to Claire6her@gmail.com
What makeup is everyone wearing today? Today I am wearing: 1. Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation in Champagne 2. Benefit Coralista blush 3. TheBalm Mary-Loumanizer 4. Dior Creme de Rose Lipbalm 5. Dior Addict Lipstick in 454 6. Benefit Creaseless Cream shadow in RSVP and under all this I am wearing Neutrogena Pure and Free Liquid Sunblock SPF 50 So c'mon now...confess!
So I stared at my collection last night and rifled through for a good nude lipstick when I realized something. I really only have pure beigey-nudes. I have one that leans slightly pink, maybe, but it's not quite what I would like to have in my arsenal. This is an unacceptable gap I need to fill up, obviously, especially since I tend to top all my nude lippies with a pink-tinted gloss! Now I would love to find the perfect pale slightly pink-undertoned nude lipstick that will not wash me out. I'm on the pale side, between NW15 and NW20, though in the summer I can pull off NW20 for maybe a month. Tom Ford Blush Nude seems to fit the bill judging by swatches online, but I'd like to know my other options in formulas such as Nars Audacious, Givenchy Le Rouge, Guerlain KissKiss, Chanel Rouge Allure, YSL, Bite Beauty, Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy, Rouge Dior, etc. I do prefer more moisturizing and luxurious formulations. I am comfortable with a $20 to $40 price range. Looking forward to some awesome suggestions! Thanks, everyone!
I have been searching for a good neutral palette for quite some time now and I have been trying to talk myself out of getting one of these palettes, but I have decided to take the plunge and get one of them. However, I am torn between the two of them. I personally think that cooler toned shadows fit my skin tone better (I sort of have yellowish undertones) so after some suggestions I have been leaning towards the naked 2. But there are some colors I really cannot stand in the palette (tease, pistol, foxy), and I know those shadows would go to waste. In the naked1 palette the only color I cannot stand is gunmetal (and maybe toasted would end up being a dislike), but because the colors are so warm I'm afraid I would get it and realize that none of the shadows are good for me, which would lead me to not reaching for it. Lastly, I was looking at swatches of the naked2 palette and this photo really caught my eye. The colors look sooo pigmented and nice, but in some other photos I have seen the colors look completely different and not as nice. Does this photo accurately show the true colors of the naked2 palette? Anyway, I'm basically town between the two and I would love if anyone has some good feedback on this! Thanks!
Hi! First post. I am totally addicted to neutral eyeshadow palettes and need a little help. What are your fav non-neutral palettes. I have several (sigh, FOUR) of the NAKED palettes and another neutral Tarte palette (and I'm forgetting a few others) and really want to add some color to my collection. I love so many and just can't make a decision.
Ok BT, what did you find today? Edit 10-2, feel free to post if you find something from your favorite brand. I LOVE beauty products and sadly I also LOVE shopping which leads to countless makeup purchases on a weekly basis. I have a lot of makeup already and I certainly do not need more. I'm sure I am not the only one with this problem but if anyone can help me, I would appreciate. Do you have any tips on reducing your impulse purchases ? or just stop buying so much makeup all the time? Are you a recovering beauty addict ? I need advice, especially before the VIB sale in November !!!
It's midnight in New York and you know what that means... it's October!! I don't care if I'm in California, I'm still making this post hahaha. I started my haul at CVS because my sister had $10 rewards for beauty and I used that towards lipsticks for my kit. I got Wet n Wild lipsticks in Sugar Plum Fairy, Wine Room, and Mauve Outta Here. I also got a Milani lipstick in High Voltage. I paid $2 for 4 lipsticks! I went to Ulta to pick up NYX Dark Circle Corrector and the Essence Lipstick (4th one above) in Wear Berries THEN, I went to Sephora to pick up a free deluxe sample of Bare Minerals lipstick in Speak Your Mind and my MUFE Birthday gift! PS my birthday is October 18 hehe
I remember when I first joined BT about a year ago, there was a lot of scrambling for those traincases in the sale section. Well, it's that time of year. They're baaaaack!!!! http://www.sephora.com/strike-wild-traincase-P3878 17?skuId=1601236
Hello my beautiful people! This post is inspired by LCResz's recent thread of Perfumes and Oils Collection: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Fragrance/The-perf umes-and-oils-collection/td-p/1451444. While I love perfumes, I don't have much of a perfume and oils collection. I am more of a mini perfume collector. I am obsessed with minis and I started last July. And I think that I have collected quite a few! I don't really care much about brands of perfumes or how it smells, but more about what the bottle looks like. Here is my mini perfume collection! I have it stored on top of a Pier 1 Hayworth Collection Lingerie Chest (but I use it for jewelry and makeup storage!) I am going to run out of room soon! I would love to see your mini perfume collection!
Hello! I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a powder to set under eye concealer? I was hoping to get one that would lighten the under eye area to brighten under my eye. I wanted one separate to my over all face setter. Any suggestions would be great! thanks in advance!
Just yesterday, I marveled at how well I'd been doing NOT buying things I don't need... Than Chanel came out with the LE Holiday Quad. I resisted for about 16 hours, and today, a friend told me she got it this weekend, and that was all it took; It's on it's way to me. SMH. Anything lately enable you this easily? (isn't it pretty?!?!)
I am crazy about advent calendars! (I have several wooden ones that I fill with my parents' and brother's favorite candies each December.) So last holiday season, when I learned that there were Beauty calendars, filled with skincare, makeup, body, and fragrance products, I flipped! Last year, there was a memorable Benefit advent calendar. (Let's not even talk about this year's over-priced version.) This year, there are even more advent calendars being offered, but most of them are exclusive to the U.K. I have seen U.K. bloggers post about Jo Malone, Body Shop, L'Occitane and Yankee Candle advent calendars--just to name a few. (You can google "best beauty advent calendars" to see all the awesome goodness.) I just bought the QVC version! I hope that the few advent calendars offered in the U.S. are really popular and are snapped up this year, so that retailers will understand the demand. Then hopefully, we will get more such beauty calendars available for U.S. customers in upcoming years. Who else is crazy about these? Jo Malone Advent (2014) L'Occitane Advent (2014) Body Shop Advent (2014) QVC Advent (2014) Selfridges (UK department store) Advent (2014)
It hit me a few days ago that Black Friday 2014 would be here soon!!! I happen to just love love love Black Friday shopping. I am not a morning person, a total night owl actually, so I've enjoyed that the last couple of years there have been more stores opening late on Thursday. (I don't support folks having to work on Thanksgiving just so I can shop but I won't wake up at 3 am to be at a store for a 4 am opening - I'd rather just stay up and hit a midnight opening - just a personal preference). Last year Sephora branded their Black Friday deals as "Dealtopia". As in years past, they had some amazing $10 deals. Some were online only and some were available both in store and on-line. On-line, we were limited to two items of each deal, but many of us made multiple orders. In-store, some locations held to the two item limit of each deal, and some didn't and they let you buy more. What is always the great mystery for on-line shopping is the exact time that the deals will go live. I want to say that it was midnight EST time. Last year, the online shopping was a bit of a nightmare. Anyone remember entering the "queue" where you were advised not to hit the back-button, or refresh, else you'd lose your place in line? With some patience, many of us were able to find our desired deals. My local store opened at midnight and when I got there at about 11:45, I was about the 15th person in line. There was only one "aggressive" shopper, who was behind me, but went kinda crazy when the doors opened. She knew what she wanted and by gosh, she wasn't afraid to nudge you out of the way to get there! Other than that, it was crazy busy but nothing horrible. They had many of the deals sitting on the main front display, but they also had some employees who had rolling carts with some of the items. Finding that "one" item you just had to have was tricky if it wasn't on the main display. To get an idea of what the deals were in 2013, I recommend googling "Musings of a Muse Black Friday 2013" to see the great details she posted including great pictures. Captured below is the list of deals from 2013, as found on The Musings of a Muse site. In addition, I just took a photo of the ones I bought last year that I still haven't used or given away. I think my favorite $10 item was the Josie Maran set, which included her Bare Naked Nail Wipes (20 count) and a 1 oz. Whipped Argan Oil Hand Cream in Vanilla Apricot. I think the "hot" item was the Philosophy Purity wash. What was your favorite? Note that Sephora did most of their Black Friday advertising using Pinterest and Facebook. I do not remember how many days before Black Friday they posted what the deals would be. Do any of you remember? All I know is that I am really excited for 2014!!! I hope you can help me! I am currently looking into getting a new mascara. I have been using Helena Rubenstein Lash Queen Waterproof Black for a while, but I wanna change it. I have thin, short and fine lashes, so looking for a formula that won't weigh down my lashes, which is my main problem with all mascaras. I prefer it to be waterproof as I work out a lot. I really want lots of volume and lenght. I really hope you can suggest some suitable mascaras for me.
I follow Kat Von D on Facebook and yesterday, Monday, 10/20/14, she posted that she was launching a new beauty website in 10 days/on 10/30/14.🙀 See her post on FB for details on what the intent of the site is. I didn't want to post a screen capture of her post for two reasons 1) I am not sure if I'd be infringing on some protected material and 2) there was one bad word at the bottom of her post and I'd have to figure out how to edit that out since BT has rules on language. 😜 I am pretty excited - I love her products and I love her tutorial videos. I am anxiously awaiting the launch! I did visit the site to see what is currently posted and I was able to sign up to receive email communications. The site already looks pretty hot!🔥
Is Dior Forever in 022 REALLY a match for 1Y05 or is that a mistake? The description says its for pink undertones. I currently wear the 020 because I'm 1Y06 but feel like I need something a little lighter for winter. Should I go with the 022 or the 010? Also, the 020 seems to oxidize on me and go just a bit Orange but it's not that bad and still looks good.
Does anyone have any recommendations for products - particularly heat protectors or styling products - to use prior to curling dry hair? In order for my fine, straight hair to hold any curl, it has to be at least 2-3 days old, so I'm rarely putting products in wet or damp hair and am looking for something that won't weigh my hair down or leave it feeling greasy prior to curling. Are any products geared specifically towards applying to dry hair? I tried searching and all I came up with were threads from people who had dry (as in not oily) hair. Spoiler (Highlight to read)
