My GHD flat iron just burnt out yesterday I've had it for ~4 years with minimal usage, but somehow didn't last. I'm searching for a new iron and I need and would appreciate your help! I'm looking for a good quality iron that will last and leave minimal damage to my hair.. GHD used to give me a smooth effortless results that didn't feel like it was "pressing" on to the hair, but glides so maybe something similar with a temperature control I've read a few reviews on T3 and CHI, but they both have mixed reviews
I have been noticing that my skin is starting to break out and it makes me very self-conscious cause I feel like that's the first thing people notice when they look at me. I would like some opinions on a good skin clearing kit, masks and acne friendly makeup. Please help me get better looking skin!!
sorry for the rant but this is just ridiculous! how can a product, literally released yesterday already have 35 reviews and they're all about how they can't wait for the item to arrive or they're mad it's out of stock. this is so frustrating because reviews like these seriously screw up the ratings and I just get so irritated since I partially rely on people's reviews since I have to do most of my shopping online.
When I cry my nose and cheeks turn a nice shade of red. I would like to prevent this from showing through my makeup at an upcoming wedding. Can you recommend a redness correction lotion as I have BB creams, light foundations and heavier foundations so I don't need any more foundation products.
Hello! I've been using Bare Minerals Ready Foundation for maybe 2 years now and it has worked great. Not sure what's changed with my skin, old age? But for some reason it just doesn't look great anymore. I'm 36, have oily skin in the T-zone and have big pores. I've never really liked liquid foundation, but I'm willing to try other things. Any recommendations? Thanks!
Can anyone recommend an anti-aging cleanser for a woman in her mid 30's? I have some dry patches, fine lines and wrinkles but otherwise pretty normal. I'm currently using Algenist skin care products but I haven't tried their cleansers. Help please!!
I received Vice 3 and got to wear it yesterday. I found the shadows super soft and buttery. I have a lot of UD palettes and singles, but Vice 3 kind of reminds me of the shadow formula in their Pulp Fiction palette. Anyone else? i was particularly interested in the reds. I used Sonic yesterday and it did not look like the color I thought it would when it went on my lid. I didn't dislike it but was just surprised - I was expecting kind of a ruby color. But I loved the base shade I picked and my crease color. It is a palette with lots of options and possibilities! i have that and Ten. I will try to swatch them, especially the liners since I have so many other UD liners already, I can see if there are any that exist that are close. just wondering if anyone else had thoughts on the shadow formulas in Vice 3 or LTD, or on the colors in Ten.
I am in my mid 30s and have very sensitive, fair skin. At one point years ago I got a terrible sunburn and it has left its mark inn my nose and especially my cheeks leaving them bright pink at all times. My my skin tends to be on the dry side with beginning fine lines. I do get dark eye circles if I do not use an eye cream.when I stay away from irritants I have no blemishes with the exception of hormone induced ones. I can not use retinol, it is too harsh and I scab from it. I have found that that dior products work very well with my skin chemistry. I do not itch and they have a calming effect. I am currently using hydra life with essential one first ( and mask) but an planing on switching to capture total when I run out now that I am hydrated I always use sunscreen now! Are there other products that my be better to use or to use along with to help reduce the redness. I have tried the Clinique redness reducing line and that inflamed my skin within minutes... what at other masks and/ or peeks would be good to try?
Is anyone else in love with this new collection? While I think both the mirrors are crazy over priced, everything else is AMAZING. I have only gotten the eyeshadow palette so far but oh my god its perfect. Has anyone gotten anything from it? Is it worth getting any of the other sets??
Whenever I watch fashion shows, I would watch them for the makeup more so than the clothes (which are fantastic in any case!). I thought it'd be fun to start a thread of favourite inspirational makeup photos Here are a few of mine from the latest NYFW SS15.
I have very, very, VERY pale skin. Pretty much any product I use to contour always ends up being way too dark and noticeable against my pale skin. I've been using a bronzer by Estee Lauder to contour recently, but I almost out of it so I need a new product, and it is way too dark on me for me to ever reconsider purchasing it. I've also tried a couple eyeshadows from Estee Lauder to contour (all of them were brown with gray undertones), but they still seemed to dark for my skin. Anyone know of a good LIGHT contour product? I really want my contouring to look natural, but with my pale skin that seems almost impossible. I would love to hear suggestions that anyone might have! Brand or price do not matter to me so I'm open to pretty much anything. I'm also eurasian so I have a yellow undertone on my skin if that makes a difference.
I was tossing a few samples into my sample stash bag, and realized a) I have a sample hoarding problem and b) I have no clue what I've got in there. So Going along with blackwhiskey's makeup challenge, I'm proposing the September Sample Challenge. For the last 10 days of September, use at least 5 samples from your stash, then give us your mini review. Did you like it? Would you purchase it? Etc. so.....who's up for another challenge?
So I recently noticed that while I do get pretty much every bit of Rouge promotional email, I seemed to be missing out on some store event emails especially those that are specific to Canadians. It turns out that the system " thinks I'm Canadian but isn't quite sure" because I was signed up for the program at an American store that used half of that store's information (my fault, I hate giving out all of my information). While my orders have been going to a Canadian address and the system has recognized this and is sending Canadian-style promos (in both English and French) it also has some of this incorrect American Information on file. So what is the take home? Double check your profile address matches the one listed in Sephora's database (or even listed at all). I was able to do this in 10 seconds over the phone. Cheers!
Why can't they just get a discount on the product and have it available for everyone??! Its ridiculous. I was really looking forward to it and I received an email today saying that it is in stock so I click on it and it says YOU MUST BE A VIB ROUGE. Im a VIB (although online it says I'm not... seriously can someone explain to me why the lady at sephora gave me the VIB card when it says I'm not one online?) anyways i thought to share this in case any non vib rouges were gonna get it. I think its available for the general public october 1
I've been using an Eminence face wash for quite some time, but my current bottle is almost empty - so I'm thinking about trying something else. Does anyone have any thoughts on Omorovicza's Cleansing Foam? I know the line gets rave reviews in some circles, but I'm wondering if the Cleansing Foam is worth the $75 (Canadian). I'd love to know your experiences! Thank you.
I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but when I use liquid lipstick (mostly Too Faced Melted and OCC Lip Tars), sometimes after a short period of time there will be a lighter ring on the inner part of my lips. It's extremely obvious and extremely unsightly. I wish I had a picture to explain it better. This problem mostly happens with the lighter shades of lipsticks. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a solution?
Advice needed. Looking for a makeup that has coverage but isnt heavy. I have trouble finding a foundation (liquid) that has coverage but doesnt settle into my pores and look heavy. Any suggestions? P.S. I have combo skin type... oily only in the T-zone
I don't know if these are new for all of you but this is the first day I see these up. I've been reading up a lot about toners and DIY cucumber / green tea toners. I just wanted to hear some personal reviews if anyone's tried it/what they think/ effectiveness. They sound really nice to be. It's all natural/cheap. It does go bad after a few days so I read that refrigerating it would not only feel refreshing on the face but last a little bit longer. But even tossing it isn't a big deal since all the ingredients are really cheap to come by. Also if substituting a lemon for a lime would be okay?
Its such a blessing to see that positive symbol on your test when you've been trying to conceive. For weeks you glow - mostly due to "morning" (All-day) sickness. Now with the lovely changes my skins seems to have jumped back to the land of a teenager. SPOTS everywhere. On my chest and face and gosh does it make you feel un attractive. I had terrible acne in high school and happily in my early twenties this calmed down. I tried using clean and clear which seemed to aggravate the situation to a while new level. I don't enjoy caking on makeup but lately it helps me just get out the door - - Any suggestions on getting my skin back to some normality?
When you picture yourself at your best, what do you look like and what would your process be to create that look? Can include anything and everything from skin care, shower products, make-up, hair products, clothing, shoes, accessories, whatever you think of when you picture yourself at your happiest, most beautiful/handsome, confident. What do you you use to create the best version of you?
Hi Ladies, I need some help in deciding with Clairsonic to get. I've narrowed it down to either the Mia 2 or 3 and I can't seem to decide between the two. I'm really liking the holiday sets that are out. A little about me: I have normal/combo skin, not acne prone or anything. My t-zone can get a little oily. I've been using Clinique's 3 Step # 2 for the past 10 years or so and I've been happy with it, but I think its time to add some deeper cleaning/exfoliating. Is the Mia 3 with the Cashmere Brush Head worth the extra $50? The Mia 2 Hydra Cleanse Set comes with 2 brush heads - is that a better buy? I'm in Canada, so the prices I've noted are higher than the US prices. $230 Mia 3 Holiday Gift Set Comes with: - White Mia 3/Aria - Clarisonic Lux Cashmere Cleanse Brush Head - Drying stand - USB Enabled Universal Voltage pLink® Charger - 1 oz Clarisonic Gentle Hydro Cleanser - 0.1 oz Amorepacific Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Eye Treatment Gel - 0.5 oz Caudalie Premier Cru The Cream - 0.23 oz Algenist Advanced Anti-Aging Repairing Oil - 5 Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare™ Alpha Beta® Peels, Original Formula $180 Mia 2 Glow Holiday Set: - Joy Mia 2 - Sensitive Brush Head - Protective Travel Case - Universal Voltage pLink® Charger - 3 oz Philosophy® Purity Made Simple Cleanser - 0.5 oz Ole Henriksen Truth Serum® Collagen Booster - 0.17 Bliss® Triple Oxygen® ex-'glow'-sion!
