I just spotted this on Temptalia.... They are 10 for $12 or 30 for $22... I just... why? Why would you spend over (or almost) a dollar for a lip wipe? Am I missing something here? Are we too good for a spitty tissue to wipe off mistakes or stain?
I have very oily acne prone skin and I have been breaking out pretty bad recently on my cheeks, chin, and along my jawline. I'm not sure if it's just 1 product that's breaking me out or my whole routine. I'm currently using in the morning: first aid beauty facial cleanser, clean&clear essentials deep cleaning toner for sensitive skin, and the murad oil control mattifier. In the evening: same cleanser and toner, loreal revitalift serum, josie maran argan oil light, and twice a week I use the dr. jart pore medic @ home peel, and benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment when needed The breakouts are pretty large and not just 1 or 2 at a time but several, I haven't had a breakout like this in a long time...so frustrating! Anyway are there other products I should try instead? I want to use gentle products and products that won't cause my oily skin to overreact. I would also like to incorporate as much drugstore products as possible! Thank you all!
Hi beauties, I'm thinking of giving foundation primer a try. Currently I am using Perricone No Foundation Foundation Serum and I adore how it looks and feels - it just doesn't seem to stay on all day, thus bringing me to my two questions: will a primer help the foundation stay on longer and will using a primer interfere with the anti aging and skin benefits of the foundation serum? Oh and I was thinking of beginning my primer experience with Laura Mercier because I have a deluxe sample size. Thoughts?
What makeup is everyone wearing today? Today I am wearing: 1. Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation in Champagne 2. Benefit Coralista blush 3. TheBalm Mary-Loumanizer 4. Dior Creme de Rose Lipbalm 5. Dior Addict Lipstick in 454 6. Benefit Creaseless Cream shadow in RSVP and under all this I am wearing Neutrogena Pure and Free Liquid Sunblock SPF 50 So c'mon now...confess!
Hello! I'm looking to redo my regimen to use gentler products. I have acne prone skin with a significant amount of discoloration from my hormonal breakouts. I've been using Kate Somerville for years but it doesn't seem to be working for me anymore, so I want to switch to another line that is gentler. I am looking for a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen
I love the YSL Touche Eclat foundation but I can't find the right color. I've tried Beige 10 (its to light) and Beige Dore 10 (slightly to dark that its noticeable even when well blended). Any suggestions? My best match is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light in 1.0. A lot of paler are people are wearing B30? Is it lighter than the ones I mentioned?
Have you guys seen these?! There are tons of shades and finishes to choose from, and you can build your own palette! I can't wait to try these; I wonder if Sephora will carry all of the shades? There are so many and I'd really like to go in and test a good chunk of them. http://www.sephora.com/artist-shadow-P387670?skuId =1622745
I tried to achieve a matte lips look with loose powder (LM translucent powder) over a tissu (and half a tissu) and when I removed tissu, the result is matte but all color seem to stay on the tissu instead of my lips. So, I'd like to get some trick to get this look without buying (again) other lipsticks. Thanks!!!
Hello BT! Today is August 1st and that means another month of hauls! This month is the 2x/3x/4x the points for BI,VIB and ROUGE respectively. This is a great time to stock up on points lost throughout the year! Please share your purchases! Remember, a haul is a haul no matter how big or small!
hi there! I have a big time skincare regime question. I have oily to combination skin. VERY sensitive and very acne prone. I do not have a lot of acne anymore, but any little irritation of a new skincare or makeup product will cause me to breakout. I also have some dark spots and light acne scarring from the past. I am currently using "exuviance" facewash and night cream. Can anyone recommend a morning and night time routine with me including products that will help to keep my skin clear and help diminish fine lines, and dark spots/scarring? I would greatly appreciate it!
We swatched the new Bobbi Brown Nude on Nude palette to see how the colors looked on different skintones. Have you swatched this palette? Post a pic in the thread below!

Trying to decide on two shadows for a make up forever palatte. Like the look of the khaki matte as the dark shadow but can't decide on a paler base shadow to compliment it. Something peachy and not glittery would be ideal. Any suggestions?
I know that Sephora doesn't sell Illamasqua anymore, Nordstrom never has, and now I see that it is no longer on Bloomingdales website. Does anyone know where Illamasqua can be found in the States? I am definitely not paying international shipping from the UK.
I was in Sephora today and my cashier let me know that they will be updating their return policy. I don't know whether this is Canada-only and when it will take effect. Whenever the new policy takes effect, when you return items without a receipt you will have to do it as an exchange only. No more store credit. I asked her what happens if the sum of the items you are exchanging for does not match the original price of the item you are exchanging, and she said that it pretty much has to be a perfect straight exchange, otherwise its going to be our loss. So, either exchange for the same sum, or for something more expensive. I really don't understand Sephora's beef with their own gift cards (/store credit). If I'm getting store credit, of course I'm going to be spending that money on Sephora, whether it's going to be at that same moment, or in a week or two.
Dear All, Since I turned 40 I have been hyper sensitive about my uneven and oftentimes dull skin tone. As I have 6 children (who all bring their friends inside) + an 18 year old au pair (with perfect youthful skin), I can no longer bear to reveal my bare facial skin in the house. I have tried several Loreal options, but none seem to have the coverage/glow giving properties I desire (they do however work miracles for my teenage daughters). I've also tried Clinique's CC cream, but my under eyes still look dark, which is incredibly ageing; similar story with Estee Lauder's CC Cream. I love Estee Lauders Double Wear All Day Glow BB Cream for going out in the warmer months, but would ideally like something better priced for the house ... Any ideas? Do any of you wear a base in the house?
I don't think I've ever spent my points since I became a Beauty Insider. I have more points that I'd like to admit, but I can't bring myself to spend them because of the "what if something better comes out" idea... Anyhow, do you guys save or spend your points? Anything you're saving up for or anything you've spent your points on that you'd like to share? Thanks for your thoughts! Sidenote: This is my first question so forgive me if I posted in the wrong section/this question was already asked!
Mine are: 1. Skyn Iceland "The Antidote Daily Lotion" 2. Estee Lauder "Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream" 3. Urban Decay "24/7 eye pencil" (in a variety of colors) 4. Tarte "Lipsurgence" (again, in a variety of colors lol) 5. Lancome Blush Subtil (in two colors)
I just tried (sample) of dipbrow pomade in taupe and love it better than powder for the lasting power and definition it gives to my brow. I was affraid by this kind of product because I want a natural finish. Which pomade is the best out there?
Hello friends! I am always curious to know what people's skincare regimes are; how can a skincare fanatic not want to see what other people are using! My skin is very strange, it is combination (very) oily, dehydrated, and acne prone along with reactive to various products. Without further ado, here is my current skincare routine! Morning: Cleanse - Fresh Soy Face Cleanser Tone - FAB Facial Radiance Pads Hydratation Tone - 100% Pure Rose Water Serum - Peter Thomas Roth Viz 1000 Hydrating Serum Moisturize - Fresh Rose Hydrating Gel Eye Cream - Fresh Lotus Eye Gel Night: Cleanse - Fresh Soy Face Cleanser Tone - FAB Facial Radiance Pads Hydratation Tone - 100% Pure Rose Water Treat - Kielhs Midnight Recovery Concentrate ** My nose is very breakout prone, so I do not apply any product to it during the day and use a prescription topical acne medication on it every night to stop the clogged pores ** Lips - Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm Specific Days SUNDAY Shave Exfoliate - Clinique Face Scrub (Mens line) TUESDAY Glamglow Supermud Mask WEDNESDAY Shave SATURDAY Glamglow Powermud Mask And there you have it! My wonderful, yet crazy, skincare regime! I am EXTREMELY interested in seeing what your skincare regime is as I am new to the Advice Talks! I definitely look forward to seeing the different combinations of products and also looking to see what other products I could potentially use! I love Skincare! It's the best! Michael, xo
Ok, so I'm looking for a new foundation and i can't seem to find anything that matches all of my criteria. I have combination/oily skin and only need a little bit of coverage. i really want something that looks VERY natural because I'm really not in to the whole makeup look. I'm also very pale and have a mix of pink and yellow tones in my skin. Any suggestions?
