Mac is launching this in August. By the way, if anyone wants to look like Marge Simpson, just apply some turmeric spice as a mask onto your face. That stuff won't come off for a while lol I made that mistake.
Well that was the most depressing hour of my life. I decided to google "beauty over 50" and I just feel like shooting myself lol. Apparently I'm supposed to wear tinted moisturizer (no foundation), 1-2 at most neutral eye shadows (no color under any circumstances) and forget about lipstick with color. Yes maam - keep that whole face as boring as neutral as possible. You guys have no idea how this does NOT jive with my personality. I've worn makeup my entire life and I cannot tell you how often I've had ppl come up to me if I'm at a makeup counter and ask me for advice because they thought I worked there. I understand at my ripe old age of 50 I shouldn't be glowing in the dark decked out with sparkles and glitter but my God, I just bought the Marc Jacobs Siren palette and I love it!! But apparently I should gather up all my non neutral makeup and bury it in the backyard. Say it isn't so.
I'm looking for the perfect foundation! I have combination skin.. Can any one give me any suggestions in foundations? I've tried one brand which is not a Sephora brand, I've heard plenty of good reviews on Sephora make up. Thanks Paige
Hi, I feel like I always choose blush colors that are too light (aka Nars Sex Appeal) that just disappear on my skin. Any recommendations for Auburn hair, Hazel eyes, Yellow/Neutral undertones, Very fair, slightly ruddy???!!!! THANKS!!!
i would like to change my foundation brand from number 7 , i was wondering if someone could tell me what is the colour name for calico or one that is the same colour as i am finding it hard to find the right color for me ? - thanks in advance
I am looking for a new perfume, most of all one that lasts. I tried Narcisco Rodriquez Her in store and loved it, but now I am unsure, because the online reviews say that the smell doesn't last. Since it is expensive, I would want it to last quite a while. Do you guys have any recommendations? I currently have Miss Dior Cherie and Bronze Goddess by Estee Lauder.
It looks like the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Dip colors are out, just not at Sephora I am glad they added new colors to the line. They added Soft Brown, Medium Brown, and Taupe. When will Sephora get the new colors in stock?
About two years ago I received the Too Faced Love sweet love set as a gift. There was a blush in the palette called pink caramel. Well needless to say I fell in LOVE with it and finally finished it up. Can anyone please recommend something similar to this. Thanks.
Do you tend to match or contrast the undertones in the various shades you apply to your face? Not relative to skin tone, but relative to one another? I hadn't thought about it before today but for some reason on my drive to work I started wondering if people tended to, or there were any "rules" (unwritten, of course) regarding coordinating the undertones of eyeshadow, cheek and lip colors. Do you consciously or unconsciously opt for coordinating or contrasting warm and cool undertoned color products?
My sister needs help balancing her skin out. She has an oily AND dry t-zone because of a minor acne. She has dry skin at the center of her forehead, between the eye brows, on her nose, and her skin. She's on the pill, so I thought that's what's causing her combination t-zone. She has a hard time sticking to skin routines because she sometimes goes out and doesn't come home, so her basic routine is: Neutrogena makeup remover wipes Clean & Clear Daily Pore Cleanser Paula's Choice 2% BHA exfoliant Simple Light Moisturizer or Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion Tretinoin (only when she needs it) I don't have a solution for her ): She also can't wear some liquid foundations because they emphasize dry skin
After getting a summer job and making some pretty good money so far, I decided I want to splurge on my first high end product. I wasn't sure at first but then decided on purchasing the Meteorites from all your reviews. Are the"magic balls" worth getting for sure? Thank you!!
Every time I do liquid liner or gel liner and I do a wing, when I open my eye the wing gets cut off and it looks weird and it annoys me. I don't know if it has to do with the shape of my eye or how i'm doing the wing but how can I prevent this from happening so the wing doesn't get cut off and so i can actually see it?
Sephora posted a few videos and he seems to talk more about the packaging than the product itself. He seems kinda clueless about his stuff in fact. Or in my opinion he does. Does he actually know about the actual makeup or just the packaging? If just feels awkward watching him and it seems like hes trying to figure out what to say about the product. What do yall think?
Hey everyone! I'm a teenage guy and I love skincare. I'm starting to get into very natural looking makeup just to conceal and even out some redness. Im very excited to be part of this forum! I get very passionate about this stuff! I just love it. I want to work in the beauty industry after I graduate!
I absolutely love the foundation but the lady I bought it from suggested a beauty blender and I don't really like beauty blenders so I've been looking for another option. What is the cheapest and best brush to use with the bareskin foundation?
I'm interested in trying the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush, but I'm unsure of which color to buy. I have blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. I am a little tanner than usual at the moment, but I'd like something that will work in the summer months as well. Any suggestions?
I love the matte look, something very long lasting and full coverage. I live in DC, extreme weather, humidity and cold. I've heard the Tarte Amazonion 12 hour coverage is a must try. Is this worth all the hype? I've tried Urban Decay, both MAFU brands, as well as MAC and even drugstore Rimmel. How does Tarte compare? Any thoughts, ladies? <3
Long time ago I purchased a bulletproof eyebrow kit by Too Faced, at first it worked excellent. It glided on well when I put it on but lately its been so dry that I had to buy a different type of eyebrow dip. Now, I really love this bulletproof eyebrow kit, do you guys have any idea how I can make it become moist like when I first got it?? So I dont throw out $30 in the trash... it would suck for me. Thanks.
Does this look familiar to anyone? I found a post about this on INMYKIT on facebook. Benefit claims that the They're Real Push Up Liner is the first ever lash hugging gel eyeliner in a pen. However, that Maybelline pen gel eyeliner was released in 2013 . It's only available in Asian countries, I think. I'm not sure whether Benefit is claiming to be the first lash hugging gel eyeliner pen, or just the first gel eyeliner pen in general. What do you think? Did Benefit copy Maybelline?
Hi everyone! So it's been, like forever, since I last posted on here. Oh, how I've missed this beauty realm! Anyway, I have an interesting topic I'd like to share and hear your thoughts on! I grew up as the niece of a Mary Kay consultant, and from day one I was always told that every beauty regimen consisted of "cleansing, toning, and moisturizing". In attempts to combat my acne-prone skin, I researched and researched the best ways to achieve clear skin and realized that toning isn't always the key to healthy, acne-free skin--everyone's skin is different, and sometimes being too harsh or using products that are too drying can actually CAUSE acne. I had finally found a routine and products that worked and, through trial-and-error, discovered ingredients that aggravate my skin (which I now avoid). Before, I had been using Murad's AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser twice a day (I can already hear the gasps) and my skin was clearer than it had been in a while and my skin seemed to tolerate the exfoliation. However, I'm moving to Florida in three weeks and was just recently there to scout out the area. MAN, had I forgotten how HOT, HUMID, and MUGGY it is! Phew!! Guess what happened? Of course my skin was constantly oily, and instantly began to break out. And my Murad cleanser instantly seemed to stop helping and began aggravating my skin. So when I returned home (Ohio), I realized that I really need to rethink my skincare routine and LISTEN to my skin. ANYWAY, long story short, I re-visited my toner, Sea Breeze Original Formula. I used this long ago, but stopped due to the fact that I was afraid of drying out my skin too much and therefore causing my skin to produce too much oil and therefore creating acne. **ugh, the deadly cycle**. So I've been using a gentle cleanser morning and night, followed by my Sea Breeze toner (I hate that they call it an *astringent*...it sounds so....harsh), followed by a gentle, basic moisturizer or my beloved Argan Oil. Honestly, my skin improved overnight. So I wondered, am I really CLEANING my skin enough? Today, I experimented with just that! I had nothing to do today (and by nothing, I mean NOTHING!) So that meant no makeup, nada. I cleansed, toned, and moisturized this morning at around 9:00. It's 7:00 pm now and I was feeling grimy, so I cleansed my face then just took a few cotton rounds and toner and swiped them on my face. OH. MY. GOSH....THE DIRT!!! It's unbelievable!! And this is from literally doing anything and not wearing any makeup!!! I'm just stunned by how much dirt and grime my toner and cotton pad were able to pick up, and it has really made me reconsider the methods in which we "clean" our face. I know toners aren't for everyone, and I've been against them ever since I did my research on clearing acne-prone skin. But my golly, I'm just stunned so I had to share this with you all, pictures included!! I used it several times, the first cotton round being the first swipe, and the last one being a clean, un-used one (just so you can see the difference). How do you feel about toners, and if you use 'em, which ones do you prefer? P.S. Sorry for the super. Incredibly. Long. Post. It's been way too long, and I felt the need to be thorough. Plus, as I said, I had NOTHING to do today, which equals boredom. Which equals this post.
I have oily skin, and also an extremely yellow skin tone. I tried MUFE Mat velvet+ in#40, and it was still too pink toned for me.. What foundations would work for me? Thank you much in advance. Mostly I need great foundations in yellow skin tone...
