Hey fellow beauty lovers. I was thinking we could all use one thread to swatch our lipstick collections. Or even just a place to put up pics of just new lipsticks or any Lippy product we get. What do you think? If you're for it....go ahead! I'll be sure to post mine tomorrow. 😀💄
Hello all! Recently I purchased the Kat Von D lock it foundation in shade light 42. I was so joyed to see, or I should say,I was so joyed at the lack of seeing a noticeable difference between my face's skin tone and my neck! Finally I had found a product that matched my pale skin! Now let me tell you, I am new to higher end make up, skin care, and liquid foundation. But I believe I have dry skin to combo skin. I've been washing my face rdaily with a mild cleanser, moisturizing, priming with the kat von d primer, exfoliating 2-3 a week with a damp towel, and making sure not to apply too much of the foundation on my face. (one pump, with a few extra dabs to red areas all while using a damp bb.) But for some reason, it still looks off. I've seen plenty and plenty of pictures of flawless complexions using this product, but mind doesn't compare. I've tried no primer underneath, I've tried primer underneath with foundation on top, I've tried primer underneath, foundation then powder, I've tried primer underneath, then mixing primer with the foundation. I really want to like it, but I'm wondering if I should try MUFE velvet foundation instead? I want a full coverage (Scarring and LOTS of red) matte, pale foundation, and bonus points for being long wearing! Please some opinions and advice! Below is a picture of today of the Lock it foundation (and my attempt at learning how to eyeshadow.) mixed with the kat von d primer.
Hi everyone! I thought I'd start a discussion on the best perfumes similar to Dolce & Gabbana's The One, and also just to see what your personal favorites are and what y'all recommend for a younger age group! (My favorite right now is D&G The One)
HI! Just wondering what y'all's opinions are on One Direction's three fragrances (Our Moment, That Moment, and You & I). I haven't tried any of them, but I am eager to and am wondering which ones you recommend. Thanks!
I'm 21 years old, I have combo to dry skin. It isn't acne prone BUT I suffer severe blackheads and white heads around my mouth, jaw and the forehead area. I also noticed that my smile lines have gotten deeper. I've never tried looking into high end skin care so this is where I ask for advice or recommendations. I recently purchased the GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD™ CLEARING TREATMENT for the blackheads/whiteheads and the Estée Lauder Perfectionist CP+R Wrinkle Lifting/Firming Serum for the fine lines. Has anyone tried any of these products out? If so, are they good? I feel like I've hit rock bottom trying out drug store skin care products but they just don't seem to work for my skin.
I need some expertise from all you beautiful people!! I am getting married in 34 days, omg the count is on. I still don't know what I'm doing for my wedding makeup. I have combination skin. I'm currently in Canada where is cold an snowy, but will be getting married in St. Thomas, USVI. I usually just moisturize with Origins Energy-Boosting moisturizer, followed by Stilla one step correct, and Bareminerals original foundation (this I'm starting not to like as i find it applies quite cakey). Or on days where my skin doesn't have many imperfections I only wear tarte BB tinted 12-hour primer with SPF 30. I'm wanting some ideas so that my pictures look flawless and beautiful, especially in the sun since we are getting married on the beach! Any tips or suggestions you have would be amazing, Thanks
Hello. I noticed there is a new makeup store in my mall. Its a Kiko Cosmetics. I have never heard of the brand... anyone know anything about them? Anything wonderful there that I should check out? Thank you
My mom and I keep seeing commercials for it pop up and both of us have gotten really interested in it. The downside is that they seem to be really expensive so buying a set out of the blue wouldn't be convenient without doing some research. Has anyone tried an airbrush kit? Were the results better than normal foundation? Is there a good brand to try? Is it worth the investment? A lot of commercials show the models looking significantly younger, does it really make you look more youthful?
I just got a YouTube account. Now that I have one, I can subscribe to different channels. I was wondering who you all would suggest for someone over 40 and makeup challenged. I love makeup but am very challenged with it.
As a beginner, I got so much inspiration through beauty videos on youtube. What's the best best brush set for a beginner starting out make up? Also, are there any great ones that I can easily travel with?
i'm a light to medium in my eyes but my sister said I can do it by looking at my inner forearm veins, my veins are a blueish / green . so i'm not sure what color that would lead me too. so if anyone can help THANK YOU
Hello! For the past two years I have been using either Murad (1 year) Clarifying Cleanser, and Peter Thomas Roth (1 year) Anti Aging Cleansing Gel. At first, I loved both products, but soon discovered that my blemishes had not really changed much month to month. My skin is dry and uneven, but around my menstrual cycle (and other random time during stress, etc), I tend to get small breakouts in my T-zone area, and even on my cheeks. A lot of my blemishes are white or skin toned in color, with no head. Just raised, skin toned bumps. I use the First Aid moisturizer line, under eye cream, and lip moisturizer and are really satisfied with those products for my dry skin. I desperately need advice on a good face wash/exfoliator that will work for my skin and help in keeping my skin as clear as possible. Thank you Sephora!
I absolutely love the coverage of Laura Mercier's Oil Free tinted moisturizer in Sand, but after about a week of using it, I begin to break out. I think it's just too moisturizing for my oily skin, but I love the coverage of a tinted moisturizer--particularly of this particular product. How do you think Peter Thomas Roth's CC cream stands up. Is it a good alternative? Is the coverage as good, but without the possible break-out factor?
I've tried EVERYTHING! Murad? Kate Sommerville? Clairsonic? I am looking for any advice on my never ending skin problems. I just turned thirty and for as long as I can possibly remember I've had problem skin. I get acne breakouts---the worst being hormonal break outs around my cycle. I get blackheads, white heads, large blemishes, small blemishes---you name it. Unfortunately it is not only on my face but also on my neck, chest and back. It feels like I have tried everything. From perscription remedies from my dermatologist, acutane and I am sure I have spent a small fortune on skin care products. I am currently using Kiehl's products. I have been using them since October and I have seen minimal results. I have heard good things about Kate Sommerville, Murad and the Clairsonic but before I change my skin care line once again I thought I would get as much advice as possible to avoid spending more money! Please! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
I need a new concealer. I'm almost out of my Mac pro longwear concealer and I'm looking to try something different. I have the nars creamy concealer but I'm not totally in love with it. I have dark circles. My skin is on the drier side. I can't use anything super moisturizing because it creases under my eyes even after I set it. What are your suggestions?? Has anyone tried the Estée Lauder double wear concealer? Thanks!
I use an eyeshadow base all the time, either a drugstore brand, Essence or the Benefit Lemon-Aid Primer. I use either or just depends. Anyway, so my issue is that when I want to do a smokey look using a black shadow or just a dark color, it doesn't stay through-out the day, it seems like it fades slowly on my top lip and when I smoke out my bottom lash area, it seems to be the same. Both top and bottom seem to fade out slowly throughout the day...is there something other technique I could use to prevent that? I love dark smokey looks, but rarely ever do them because of this issue I have. Any suggestions?
After watching Jaclyn Hill YouTube video on Becca Cosmetics I grew very curious about the line and would like to know some recommendations on what products should I get and what would complement my skin tone (I am a 1Y11 in Nars I'm a Tahoe) I like a foundation that's gives me moisture and medium coverage.
I just wondering if anyone had swatches of any of the Burberry single eyeshadows on dark skin. I've been combing the internet and YouTube and am not finding much, but I would love to get my hands on one of them -- particularly the ones that are a bit more nude. Any photos or recommendations as to where I can find swatches would be a great help.
