Currently I wash my face AM and PM. I use eye cream and day cream w/spf & night cream. I also use my clarisonic every other day. I feel like im missing something because my face looks so blah. Anything else that is a must to include in my daily facial regimen?

Hello my Fellow Lipstick Addicts, I am on a never ending quest for the most Holy of Holys - the Precious of any Purse - THE REAL LONG LASTING LIPSTICK (or Stain). So many claim to be long lasting but we know they are filled with lies. Piles of lip stains, balms, sticks, and pencils go unwanted after they have failed the Last test yet their makers continue to mislead us in a belief that their product will last long! For shame I say - for shame!!!! If YOU hold the Precious please share its gift with one such as I for I fear I have gone without for far too long. Please aid me in my quest and if you do hold the secret of the Precious than you shakllk be rewarded! (ok you will get a Thank You post but that is like a reward) -Lipsticky in Colorado
I was at Sephora yesterday and asked an SA if she’d heard when the Hourglass Holiday Ultimate Ambient Lighting Palette would be released. Unsurprisingly, she didn’t know a release month. She did inform me that Hourglass has mini pans in the works – like what the flagship store has to create your own palette. She didn’t know if it would be limited to the ambient lighting powders or if you could mix and match powder, blush, and bronzer. Has anyone else heard about this?
There are a lot of music festivals and things coming up where I will be outside a lot and I need a good foundation that won't melt off my face. I was recommended this in the matte liquid form when I went in to get matched for a new foundation. i have yet to try this where im outsidemost of the day so would this be a good foundation that will last all day and wont melt off my face? I also use a lotion with spf, veil mineral primer and urban decay all nighter setting spray.
I'll admit it, I rarely buy a new product that we sell without attempting to convince someone in the office to give it to me to try first (What? I'm frugal!), but I was so intrigued by everything I was hearing about new haircare line Briogeo that I snapped up a couple of their products as soon as they came back in stock on the site. So I was really excited to sit down with Briogeo founder Nancy Twine (who is SUPER SWEET and cool, btw), to find out more about this awesome little brand.
What is the inspiration behind the brand?
Briogeo was inspired by my own family history of making homemade products in the kitchen of our home. It first started when my grandmother was swayed to create her own products out of necessity to provide for the large family she raised on her farm. From there, my mother learned the craft. She held onto my grandmother's ingredient journal, and when I was growing up she and I would make a wide assortment of homemade products ranging from soaps to hair care products using my grandmother's formulas as the base. My family history of making natural products at home and my passion for entrepreneurism are what motivated my desire to create Briogeo .
Talk a little about your sustainable packaging and ingredient methodology.
We've coined a concept called "6-Free" haircare, meaning, ALL of our products are free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, silicones, synthetic fragrance, and artificial colors. Briogeo 's mantra is: when it doubt, leave it out. We pride ourselves in creating pure, potent, and non-toxic products that are specifically formulated to give you the results you want and deserve. Every formula is fortified with potent blends of natural oils, vitamins, antioxidants, and fruit & plant extracts for super healthy and vibrant hair.
We're sticklers for green packaging, too! All of our shampoo and conditioner bottles are manufactured right here in the USA. We use recycled, plastic milk jugs to make our bottles, which are also recyclable. So we've essentially created a two-way chain of recycling where we incorporate recycled materials into our packaging that can then be recycled again and again.
Does your line work on all hair types?
We created Briogeo to carry out a mission of "Hair Care for All" - meaning, our product line caters to a diverse array of hair textures and types. Because I come from a diverse background, I wanted to create an all-inclusive line that people with different hair types could identify with. Our line is solutions oriented and focuses on three hair care segments: curly/texture, volume, and repair. We've done extensive research into the concerns of each of these hair categories and have focused all of our product formulations on addressing the specific needs of each one - using the finest concoctions of natural, performance based ingredients. So whether your hair is coarse & unruly, thin & brittle, or dry & damaged - the Briogeo assortment contains texture-specific products to match your specific hair needs.
What are your top product picks for:
Controlling Frizz: Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray , this stuff is the best!
Adding volume and shine to limp hair: Blossom & Bloom Ginseng + Biotin Volumizing Blow Dry Spray . I spritz this on my roots before blow drying.
Adding moisture and shine to dry and damaged hair: Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask . I use this to deep condition my hair every other week.
What advice do you have for beauty entrepreneurs interested in starting their own product line?
I would encourage beauty entrepreneurs to take the time and do the research necessary to understand the market inside and out. That includes knowing your competitors, customers, and ways you plan to differentiate your brand amongst the current assortment. I see a lot of startups rush into production before taking these crucial steps and it often creates early setbacks that could have been avoided. I also encourage seeking out mentors within the industry as a way to gain meaningful advice and potential connections. There's a lot to be gained from the experience and lessons learned by others!
Hey ladies - looking for some feedback. I am in Canada and pre-ordered these brushes, mine are set for the August 30 delivery. I'm considering cancelling the order though now that I've had some time to think about it. The one and only reason (but a compelling one lol) that I want these is because of the gorgeous handles. I have tons of quality brushes from Wayne Goss and the Chikuhodo GSN series, plus MAC and Sephora + Hakuhudo. As a matter of fact, I never once considered these to be brushes I would use, just keep as a collection item. From the reviews I've read the quality isn't as good as the GSN series or the Goss brushes. Also, and this is a big factor - I'm in Canada. With the horrid exchange rate now the total of these brushes came to almost $300!! I'm starting to think there are many other things I could buy - and actually USE for $300. Any thoughts? For my American friends that have these, if you had to pay $300 for them, would you still think they were worth it? Esp. if you already have tons of better quality brushes? Thanks!!
So my friends birthday is coming and and she asked for and I quote: "Any mascara that will make my **bleep** eyelashes POP!" So i was wondering what would be better..a great mascara or a tube of eyelash enhancers? What brands are the best for big lashes? Im more of a lipstick/eyeliner gal so I need some expertise!
I got this email yesterday and I wanted to check and make sure it is authentic, because I don't want to risk a scam and getting my account hacked. It sounds like an exciting opportunity, but before I proceed, I wanted to check with the Sephora experts.
Hi! I usually wear the Becca Ultimate foundation Crème in color Nude, I wanted to try the Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink...just because the Sephora I am going to today does not carry Becca, which color would be a good match? Or what would be another great full coverage foundation? Thanks!
Can someone please tell me if Bite Beauty Barberry from the Frozen Berries Collection will be Back in stock online? I am currently on Vacation and today is my last day in a city with a Sephora so I need to know if I should just go pick it up in store before I go home.
I purchased the NARS under eye concealer because of all of the rave reviews and I am extremely disappointed! It creases horribly and has a very dry texture and not very good coverage. I guess I will stick with the Laura Mercier secret concealer until I can find a product with a creamy texture and more coverage. Any suggestions??
For as long as I can remember I have always applied my skincare routine with my fingers. Last night I was I was rearranging some things on my vanity and realized I have 2 beautblenders Im currently using to blend my foundation plus I have 4 more brand new ones and 4 Sephora sponges. I was thinking of other ways to use them so I am turning to my lovely BT'ers who always have awesome ideas. I used a Sephora one last night to aaply serum, moisturizer, eye cream and oil. I liked that I was patting it on rather then rubbing it in which typically happens when I use my fingers. My only concern is does the sponge absorb too much product and less goes on the face? I would hate to waste expensive skin care to a sponge. Can't wait to hear any other ideas you have and your take on using it with your skin care routine!
I am considering shelling out the dough for this foundation. I tried it in the store and got a nice color match and the light coverage I was looking for. However, I would love to hear what anyone has to say about it - pro or con - because as we all know, foundation is tricky and I would be very reluctant to use, then return, something so expensive.
i currently have brown hair with balayage highlights and use the Medium Brown Anastasia Brow Wiz for my ashy brown hair. However, tomorrow i am dying my hair to a warm reddish brown color. I am wondering if you girls think I should change up my brow routine and start using the Auburn brow wiz in conjunction with my medium brown color? I'm nit picky about brows totally not matching hair color, and am just wanting additional opinions. The color is by no means fiery red!
I don't know about you ladies, but I rarely wear makeup on dates. Maybe just mascara (Guerlain Maxi Lash sample). I don't want foundation or lipstick rubbing off... or heck, even sweating off sometimes. What would you guys wear for a date? My dates are usually brunch, movie and dinner. (If you're wondering what I do instead, I usually get a sheet mask and prep my skin the day before or day of.)
Hello, so I'm looking for the perfect foundation for my skin. I have a very oily tzone with some dry spots (which is why I gave up on nars illuminous foundation cus it would stick to my dry spots really bad) and I also would love a foundation with as much coverage as possible as well as a foundation that stays on for hours. Nothing over $50 cus Ima struggling college kid lol. I'm not a fan of mattifying foundations because for some reason they make skin look lifeless & dry. also my skin is a little sensitive & so I avoid any acne treating foundations cus they tend to contain chemicals that only cause me to break out even more
What is the best cleanser/treatment for clogged large pores on nose and cheek area. I feel as though my skin is rougher there and you can usually see small bumps when I have foundation on. What should I do about this to make my skin clear and not have as many clogged pores? Thanks!!
