Hi ladies! I'm interested in trying the Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Foundation, but I'm having trouble choosing a shade. My color IQ from last month is 2Y04 and that matched to Bisque Light 22 - fair with pink undertones. That makes no sense to me, as I definitely have a yellow undertone. I'm a MAC NC20-25, and I'm currently wearing MUFE Ultra HD in Y313. The MUFE is a shade too dark, as my summer tan is starting to fade. Does anyone have any swatches they would be wiling to share with me? I'm torn between Bisque Neutral 27 - fair with yellow undertones and Bisque Medium 26 - fair with neutral undertones. Any advice, comparisons or swatches is appreciated, as there's no way I can make the trip to my local Sephora this week.
Fyi, I just stopped by ulta and saw that they have Tony Moly masks in stock. The associate said they'll be getting more products soon! She's not sure when it'll show up online! :-D I love their panda collection. It's hard to find the panda eye patches but they work wonders!
Is Jennifer Anniston's perfume discontinued? It was my favorite perfume & I noticed the last 3 times I ordered it, it smelled old & the strength didn't last. I wondered if it sat on the shelves for awhile if it hadn't been popular. I noticed it's no longer available on your list of perfumes -- I wondered where I could find it? Please Advise.
sorry guys, i don't have the wits right now to come up with a more clever title. but wanna talk about your favorites this past month ? as some of you know, august was a DIFFICULT month for moi. a serious breakup, a death in the family. TURNING 30. but...this all corresponded with me using makeup as a coping mechanism, so i have lots of new faves ! maybelline color tattoo pots. these things DO NOT BUDGE. they're all i wore for the first half of the month. with bad to the bronze, tough as taupe and creamy beige all being in rotation. anything that contributed toward my copper / rusty eye fixation that took over the second half of the month. MAC mythology, KVD raw power, UD freelove , and extra shoutout to MUFE artist shadow in the matte auburn shade (which is my new very favorite !! i can look up the mufe code style name if anyone is interested....) the month was a tale of 3 blushes , all from NARS : the first half of the month was dominated by sex appeal . the second half of the month i used exhibit a almost every day as a transition shade on my eyes. and the unsuspecting reigning queen: mata hari . with the warm tones on the eyes and the cooler tones on my lips, this proved to be the perfect glowy bridge between the two. not too warm, not too cool. perfect. (also wore mata hari as an eyeshadow recently and loved it. now i need to find a single shadow in a similar color, if any of your guys know of one to recommend ??) COLOURPOP ultra matte liquid lipsticks in trap and kapow (with kapow being my new favorite ever). i don't know how long this 'greige' thing will hang around and still look remotely fresh, but i am just really feeling it. DIPTYQUE vanille candle . this is extraordinary (the accompanying duelle eau de toilette is extraordinary too, though i only have a sample of that atm). it's a warm sweetness with no sugary overwhelmingness. favorite diptyque candle i've ever experienced. i don't have any skincare favorites this month because i've been pretty loyal to my usual cast. but i do have a couple of non beauty things to mention: iphone game ' neko atsume '. it's such a simple game (that is entirely in japanese but don't let that deter you) where you collect cats by setting up a space for them to come and visit. i've found it to be very soothing, zen, and good for my anxiety. my brother told me i need to watch ' new girl ' so i've been binge watching that and am thoroughly enjoying it. alright, how about you ? anything you'd like to shout from the rooftops ?
Is Jennifer Aniston's perfume discontinued? It was my favorite fragrance , but the last 3 times I purchased it f/Sephora, it smelled old, like it had lost it's strength-- I'm thinking it might not have been popular & sat on the shelves awhile, so I was just receiving old product. Please advise since I couldn't find it listed on your fragrance list, I would like to know if it's still being manufactured & if it's available elsewhere? Thank You, Bookworm
Hi, I have been using the shade 'Barcelona' (medium w/ olive undertones) in the NARS Sheer Glow through the summer and love it. However, my tan is fading and I'm looking for a lighter shade to mix into my Barcelona as I head towards my naturally paler complexion in the winter. What would you suggest as I have to buy online and can't make it into a store? Cheers, Courtenay
Ok ,, so I've put this off and I should have done this months ago but I was in a deep depression and also not ready to face you all. As you know my husband (mygreathair12)) passed away several months ago. In his last days his only joy was beauty talk and Sephora in general. He loved you guys so much, you will never know what you ladies ment to him. I know that he read the thread you guys made for him as often as he could. I wasn't sure if I should keep using our account we had together with his screen name. Somehow it comforts me to keep his spirit alive still. I was so unsure if I should do this but I felt like I had to say a special thank you for all you did for him. I feel like I can't say enough but I'll end this here.,,,Donna
Hey guys! I need some advice for men skincare. My 32 year old brother suffers from oily skin and breakouts. I want to get him a gift to combat his skincare concerns and I've been telling him he should try clearsonic. I don't have one but I've always wanted one myself! I saw they have a new clearsonic alpha fit cleansing system for men but it is $189 whereas there is also a new Clinique for men sonic deep cleansing brush for only $89. Does anyone have any recommendations or thoughts on each? The Clinique definitely fits my budget more but is it any less effective? Or any other skincare and tool recommendations for him?
Hi, So I have combination oily sensitive skin that is prone to getting congested and breaking out. I've been checking out Sunday Riley after hearing good things about them, but I'm not sure which oil would be best for my skin type. I'm currently using boscia Tsubaki oil as my oil with no problems, if that helps. If anyone has any experiences with the different oils and recommendations, they would be must appreciated! Thank you
What is the current equivalent color for the old color "AMUSED" for TARTE AMAZONIAN CLAY BLUSH??? THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH! KIND REGARDS, MARIJO GILLIS TWINKIEPERKYEBBY@MSN.COM OR NINAKI1@VERIZON.NET 212 427 ~ 0587 NYC
I have scarring from acne and tweezing ingrown hairs (hirsituism). I need a new skin care routine and all new makeup. I have combination skin that gets more oily as the day goes. I have used Clinique and bare minerals in the past. What do you suggest for a new routine that is affordable? Thanks in advance!
Hello, I bought a Dior Foundation while vacationing in Lash Vegas. The representative "matched" my color but, it looks oranges on me. I don't have my receipt or packaging. Would I be able to exchange it for another color at the SEPHORA in my home town?
i have tried MANY different concealers and foundations to try and cover the dark patches on my skin. (especially for the dark patch above my upper lip that resembles a five o' clock shadow, and is quite embarrasing) any suggestions?
I've been debating (for what seems like years now) whether or not to try this. I've heard and read very mixed reviews on the product - either you love or hate it. I know it depends on the type of hair you have. I have long dark brown, fairly frizzy, wavy, dull hair (when left untreated or styled). These commercials just seem too good to be true. Shine is something I've been after for a while. Since I don't dye my hair, I don't have that lustre that so many have. I also have a hard time believing that "one wash will change my world". Just wondering what BT's opinion is and if I should take the plunge. Have you tried Wen? What type of hair do you have? What's your overall opinion? Thanks!
I'm fairly new to this and recently got a few samples from my local sephora. I now want to try other foundations I've heard really great things about but I don't know my shade. The foundation samples I got were from MUFE y365 and Kat Von D #53 & #54. Is it possible to find my skintone number based on these foundations?
I really need a good foundation/foundation tips for dry skin. I also have some acne scars on my cheeks. However, whenever I put on my foundation and concealer it always ends up looking cakey and gross. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks!!
This is more about helping me understand what the girl at Sephora wrote on my foundation sample. So I've been looking for a good foundation for some time now and since I don't know much about this I decided to visit my local Sephora. I found the foundation I liked but I'm just having a really hard time finding it since what the girl helping me wrote down doesn't seem to match any of the foundations online. Would someone please help me find this foundations by MUFE or tell me if she just wrote random numbers down? The foundation is MUFE #4365
Hey everyone, I really could use some help/advice/suggestions on this. Now that we're going to be heading into autumn and winter, I want to buy a new foundation. I normally use BB Cream Spring + Summer, and Foundation Autumn + Winter. The only problem is, I have NO idea what foundation to get. Do you have any favorites? I've been eyeing the UD Naked Skin and KVD Lock-It foundations, but I'm really open to suggestions. For reference, I have dry skin and I use Smashbox BB Cream in Fair. Thank you in advance!
I recently have been having horrible flare ups and my skin is very sentimental to harsh acne treatments. I tried the Clinique acne three step solutions and it made my skin a lot worse. I currently use Fresh soy cleanser in the morning and Purity 3 in 1 cleanser at night, Lush tea tree toner, Clinique spot treatment and try out various lotions. Any recommendations that works better? I don't work well with salicylic acid cleansers
Hi! I am in need of new makeup that i can count on! I have the oiliest of oiliest skin (especially in my T-zone) and i want to be able to control it as much as i can. But i hate looking cakey! I need products that can control my oils without making me look like a cake face or feel super heavy on my skin. No matter what i do, my makeup always looks cakey within a few hours! Anything that can keep my oils down yet keep me looking natural is what I'm looking for. Definitely need help! P.s. I hope this makes sense!
Hey All! I'll be 31 soon and am finally starting to take my eye skincare regiment seriously. I'm looking for something (especially at night) to help address fine lines/wrinkles, but am totally overwhelmed at all of the options. I do understand that I should be looking for something with retinol and have been pouring over reviews for a bunch of products (Verso Super Eye and Dr. Gross Triple Correction serums seem to be the top so far), but want to make sure I don't spend money on something that's not going to help in the long run - so here I am! Thanks in advance!
