Ok so I've been wanting to make this thread for a while. I've also been wanting to start a "random thoughts" thread...but I figured I'd separate the categories so that at least the "beauty" one is on the front page, rather than hidden in off topic. So, have a beauty-related thought but don't think it's worth starting a thread about ? Post it here ! today I got a facial at an extraordinarily nice spa. A real treat. And the results were immediate and truly great. But guys: she pulled out a clarisonic and a foamy cleanser for that first initial cleanse, and I nearly had a heart attack. Great for a lot of people but most of you know how I feel about those things !!!!!! Overall, as I said, it was great and my skin is happy. But sheesh. _____________ SWATCH REQUEST THREAD HERE: http://community.sephora.com/t5/The-Swatch-Board/T HE-SWATCH-REQUEST-THREAD/td-p/2223212 (have fun wasting even more time in the...) Welcome back to the deal sharing fun! Deals shared here may also be posted to my blog (same name as the thread) unless you write for BT only. If I share your deal, I will always thank you here. I will heart every deal I see without an outside link to acknowledge it. A heart with no comment means I already have the deal or am deciding not to list it. Thanks for sharing. Repeats are always welcome, so if you're unsure if something was previously posted, post it. People who may have missed it the first time could see the second posting. Don't forget to list the retailer, so everyone knows where to get your deal. If you're posting about something on sale at Sephora, share it here. http://community.sephora.com/t5/Hauls/Sephora-Sale s-Section-Get-it-Now/m-p/2122832#M44949
With all of the various threads dedicated to particular brands, I thought it would be fun to have one specifically for BITE Beauty. I was chosen by Sephora to receive lab samples of all the shades in this new product from NARS. I'm so thankful to Sephora for reaching out and sending me this. I thought I'd start a thread where I can share my opinion about this line once I start testing it. I'm sure I'm not the only BTer to receive this so feel free to voice your opinions here as well.

A lot of the other big beauty brands have their own threads now, so I thought, why not NARS? Let's share news about new collections, feedback on products, etc here. Spring 2016: Spoiler (Highlight to read) Have you picked up anything from the collection so far? Do tell!
Just noticed that all of the spring stuff is showing up (early as always) but the thread is still specific to Winter (which it is...but tell the brands). So what have you found, dear BTers, that is new on Sephora...
i just received YSL Vernis A Levres Glossy stain in color 13 from Sephora online but the packaging looks different. The YSL logo is black instead of red/pink & the color written is Rose Tempera instead of Rose Tempura. Is it fine, does someone have any clue about this ?
We've all felt the pain of those items that we would have gotten, should have gotten but now must pay way to much to buy from re-sellers. Maybe collective BT minds can identify (while still in stock) the limited edition must haves. My recents...the Dior Nude illuminating powder (spring 2016) is a pass. The Chanel Ribbon blush spring 2016) is a maybe. The YSL Gypsy Opale and Indie Jaspie (face powder and eye shadow) sold out within hours of the YSL site pre-release (it just went live on NM). Anyone have any thoughts on currently available or soon to be limited editions?
Was asked to post an updated thread. Let's continue the fun shall we? What are you wearing today? 1. nars sheer glow foundation, mont blanc 2. perricone md no bronzer bronzer 3. urban decay eyeshadow primer potion, original 4. too faced chocolate bar palette 5. benefit theyre real mascara 6. rimmel london stay matte powder, natural 7. benefit dallas 8. nars blush, sin 9. buxom full on lipstick, las vegas
Has anyone tried these? I just got an email from them announcing their Spring release, the Plum Blossom 23-Karat lipstick. It's a gorgeous color (rose/nude) and I'm dying to get it. But for $55?!!? I figure someone on BT must have tried their lipstick. I'd love to get some feedback, about their lipsticks in general and/or this color in particular. I like their skincare, so have high hopes for this, but their lipstick is a mystery to me. Any help?
I have tried numerous samples...trying to find a foundation to cover my imperfections...but I do not want anything thick and cakey that I have to use a beauty blender to blend it out...I prefer to se a brush. My hunt is still on to find the right one, I have normal to combination skin, definitely not oily..I prefer liquid foundation please help!
What are your beauty pet peeves? Here are a few of mine When there's a huge hype around an item/brand or your own hype to get something and you get it and you are just meh. I recently got a few items that were taking FOREVER to get to my house. Canada Post was sooo slow at processing... the items were stuck with them and the tracking wasn't moving at all. I was so excited and couldn't wait for them to be delivered and finally the items just showed up (tracking not updated) and I was like meh... not too impressed with what I got. I thought I'd love it but no... not really. Swatched and sitting in a drawer somewhere... awww that just kills me lol Another one (and this is for the Canadian girls). When you see free shipping on your favorite beauty products and then notice below in very small font US ONLY. ugh So what grinds your gears? Share your stories!!!

I didn't see a February Haul thread...and it is February. So, since I'm up early I decided to start one. Romance is in the air, so hauls for you or others count. Can't wait to see what you have found and hauled!
alright, here it is. use this thread to request swatches. the guidelines are up to you and your needs: single swatches, comparison swatches, specific skin tone swatches when comparisons are requested, feel free to provide whatever you have of that request--i want anyone to participate and contribute if they want to. have fun, hope this is helpful !
Hey Beauties- We have ALOT of threads around here for Tom Ford products. I figured I'd start one thread where we can update each other on items as they come out or we see them available. For all my UK'ers, or people willing to pay for shipping from the UK, Harrods has Softcore and Nude Dip from the Fall collection available right now. Happy Shopping!
I am 21 years old, and my skin is super dry because of the winter weather, but oily in the summer. I struggle with a little bit of acne (that is clearing up), acne scars, uneven texture, and uneven skin tone. I was looking to add a serum, if I needed it? Would adding the OLE HENRIKSEN Truth Serum help with any of that? My current skin care routine: AM Shiseido Pureness Foaming Cleanser (if my skin is very oily) Shiseido Pureness Toner Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Moisturizer Sunscreen PM Makeup Remover Wipes Shiseido Pureness Foaming Cleanser Shiseido Pureness Toner May Coop Raw Sauce Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel Shiseido White Lucent Moisturizing Cream Tarte Maracuja Oil or Farsali Rose Gold Elixir Any info helps, thank you!
Okay, I love myself some Sephora and I've saved myself a hefty amount of points but lately I feel as if the 500 perks aren't worth myself spending $500. If they're giving away deluxe samples when you spend $25, why should I spend $500 to get, what four samples? I'm pretty sure the little kits they give for when you spend $25 are much more worth it. Anyone have the same feelings by chance??
Often people ask for recommendations on a skincare routine or for specific products/combinations. This might be a place to share your everyday skincare, both AM and PM. A skincare "what are you wearing" as it were. Hope this is useful. *Age - 40 Skin type - oily/combination Current skin condition - quite dehydrated (winter/indoor heating)* 01/17/16 - AM skincare in the order I used 1. Nude Jelly cleanser (love) 2. Pixi Glow tonic (5% glycolic toner - love) 3. Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Spritz (sample) 4. Radical Skincare Youth Infusion serum - hydrating and anti-ageing (new to me. Testing) 5. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream (like) 6. Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine cream (really like as an AM moisturizer) I will try to post PM skincare tonight so the post can be comprehensive. General comments - Okay skin. Apparently the age between 38-42 is a transformational time in hormones (dehydrated skin/spots), so I am more aware of how my skin performs/reacts . My skincare definitely has more "actives" now than before.
Little help ladies. I fell in love with the color Nice n Spicy pro long wear lip liner by mac only i could fine a lipstick in that same or similar shade /: any help?(: i love the orange /peach/ terracotra under tone to it.
Do you ever think about what products are truly important to you, and what you could live without? We're all dirty dragons who hoard sparkly and beloved treasures. If you had to get rid of all of your makeup, except for what you can fit into a single makeup bag (or train-case if you're not feeling daring), what would you keep? Why? I would love to see photos of how much you guys can jam-pack into a makeup bag. Did you end up packing lighter than you thought or was it hard to choose? I'm not including skin care, because I'm not a monster. Second Part: Can we stand by our decisions and live with our makeup bag for at least a week? Who can go the longest??? I'm going to sleep on it and start tomorrow
Ladies (and gentlemen!) Since Canada seems to be getting different/fewer brands added to the website, and any cross-border new releases seem to be several days to weeks later than US releases, I thought we could use our own 'what's new/found in the wild' post. Please feel free to share any new products/brands you find on the Canadian site here.
With so many users looking for the right product to use on their fair/pale/alabaster skin, I thought it would be great to start a thread specifically for this. Some of the main questions I see have to do with the following: - Foundation/concealer shades - Contouring - Highlighting I'll be posting comparison reviews and photos of everything I can get my hands on with these categories, as well as any others that people would like to inquire about. If you'd like to give input as well, please list the following: - Skin IQ/MAC ID/describe skin tone and undertones - Skin type - Foundation matches (make it clear what is a perfect match if you have one, and what is slightly off) - (optional, but highly helpful) Photos of your skin with and without makeup, swatch comparisons, etc. Please ensure there is proper lighting, with little colour overcast (like fluorescent lighting). ME: Skin IQ: 1y02 (closest neutral "match") MAC: NC8-10 Skintone is very pale, neutral to cool toned, translucent, prone to burning and freckles. Some surface redness. Cannot tan whatsoever. Type: Currently normal/combo. Slightly sensitive. Prone to dryness/patches and oilier nose. Foundation Matches: - Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer sx01 (99% match; more neutral toned, which evens out my redness perfectly) - CoverFX Custom Drops N10 (same tone as KA SS) - Dolce & Gabbana 60 Classic (perfect match) - MUFE HD Foundation Y205 (ever so slightly too light, but looks super natural with contour or blended with a drop of coverfx n10) - Giorgio Armani Luminessence (slightly cooler toned, great match though) - NARS Chantilly Concealer - DiorSkin Nude BB Cream 001 (slightly darker and too pink, but wearable, especially if wearing contour or bronzer) - KVD 42 Common recommendations that are too dark for me: Urban Decay Naked Foundation 0.5 (too dark for me, but would for for a tone darker than I) YSL (Touche Eclat concealer in 1.5 works though) GA Hourglass Tarte EL Too Faced Smashbox (fair is slightly too dark; would work for some a tone darker than I) Dior Foundations/serums (other than the one BB cream) Too light: MJ Genius Gel cream 010 Foundation comparison swatches in natural light: L-R: Spoiler (Highlight to read) NARS Chantilly Concealer MUFE Y205 D&G Classic 60 KA SSE sx01 GA Luminessence CoverfX Custom Drops N10 DiorSkin Nude BB Cream 001 UD Naked 0.5 NARS Chantilly ConcealerMUFE Y205D&G Classic 60KA SSE sx01GA LuminessenceCoverfX Custom Drops N10DiorSkin Nude BB Cream 001UD Naked 0.5 Contour: WIP Highlighting: WIP Let me know if you'd like any other categories, would like more info, or have any questions!
