I don't think we have one of these yet... But, if I'm wrong, please do correct me. I've been wanting to make this thread for a while now, but as it usually is... Life got and gets in the way. But, better late than never, huh? I've been enjoying many natural skincare products for the last 15 years or so, on and off ( mainly facial oils and balms, but masks, treatments, and body oils and balms, as well. ) I even used to make my own for years ( years ago ) as good natural skincare products were not a very easy thing to obtain. You'd have to try and hunt down quality ingredients and make stuff yourself most of the time. And, that was quite a task! It makes me happy to see that there is so many wonderful products widely and easily available lately. It makes things so much easier! Natural skincare performs better for me personally. I love and enjoy using it. My skin adores it. I love the idea of it and behind it. So, I wanted to make a place for us natural skincare lovers to talk about anything natural skincare as I see there are many others out there that are interested, or already in love with it, as well. So why not have our own little place on here? So we can share our experiences ( good and/or bad ), loves, favorite products, favorite brands and their news/new launches, discus things, share our daily routines, talk DIYs if anyone is into that, why not? Anything really. By "natural" skincare here I'm talking about skincare made mostly or completely of ingredients available in nature, like plant-derived ingredients, minerals... You know, the whole nine. Anyway - feel free to join in! You don't have to be a natural skincare lover exclusively. Everybody's welcomed! A word of caution ... For those who are new to natural skincare, proceed with caution. Inform and educate yourself really well on everything you are interested in trying and putting on your skin. Natural does not mean it won't hurt you! And, it certainly doesn't mean it's safe. Some natural ingredients can be irritating for some people. Go with what's good for you, don't force anything on your skin just because someone said it is good. Do patch tests. Be smart. People prone to allergies should pay careful attention to what they use on their skin. P.S. I am not completely and 100% natural, nor I imagine I ever will be as I do love me some other stuff, as well. But mostly, yes.
I'm making this thread because I simply don't want to create a new thread for every little question that pops into my head, nor do I think that most questions need a separate topic. I had previously just dropped whatever random question that came to mind into the Random Thread (thanks jemly!), but I had been thinking about starting this for a while and figured I'd give it a shot to see if it could be of any use. I'm well aware that the people who could best utilize this thread will likely remain completely oblivious to it, but if it can consolidate even a small fraction of questions -- and maybe even generate some interesting conversations both beauty and non-beauty related -- that seems worthwhile. Official thread mascots: The Curious Puppies. Official thread anti-mascot: Lucille Bluth. It probably would've been wise of me to have a relatively inane question to use as an example and kick this thread off... Well, since I apparently don't have any pressing questions, I'll start with this two-parter: What's your favorite drug store nail polish shade AND which official mascot puppy is your favorite? Bonus/Extra Credit: What's it's name?
Show off pics of your pets, tell stories, anything you want to share about those special animals in your life Post as much and as often as you want! What is the best moisturizer/skin care routine for sensitive, combination skin? My face randomly breaks out in hives and gets red, dry patches and previous products I have used have made this worse. Other parts of my face like my nose get extremely oily though so I'm not sure what products to use. Please help!!
I am a teenager just starting out in makeup and almost every foundation makes my skin look orange because of how pale I am and I found one foundation that didn't make my face look as orange but the coverage was awful so if you know of any good foundations and maybe concealer and bronzer help a girl out and let me know thanks in advance
At this time of my life, when my friends text to say they need an opinion, I'm expecting questions on love/money/STDs. I LMFAOed when my friend asked me which brushes to get. And honestly, she's my gem of a friend that I text when I need to know which d*** lip colour suits me. Have you got girl/guy friends that will drop all to answer your beauty puzzles?
Welcome! This thread is all about the SiJCP experience! These stores are different than the stand-alone Sephora stores and like everything else, there are pros & cons. Some of the pros: SiJCP has exclusive Sephora Favorites Sets ( which aren’t sold online ): Post a pic of any you may find out there in the wild GWP promos: sent out via email, snail mail or postcard offers in the store. There is usually no minimum purchase requirement but you will need the barcode. Be a pal? Post any offers you come across here Their own “Rewards”: the 100-pt’ers are usually different then stand-alone stores Some of the cons ( IMO ): Their own “Rewards”: which are hardly ever stocked The great mystery of the “ SiJCP Email Distribution List ” is still….you guessed it – a mystery! No one, not even store employees, know how to get on this email distribution list. The investigation is still ongoing Communication isn’t consistent and each store seems to operate differently. BTW, if you had a good experience at the store, please complete the survey – this means a lot to the hard working SA’s. Thanks everyone for your help
Hope it's okay we continue the fun and haulin' here for May! It is Also Mother's day soon and my birthday month so I am excited to share what I will haul this month and would love to see yours as well! I thought since a few BTer's like mermaids, unicorns, cute stuff, iridescent/holographic items... I'd start a thread so we could post all the products (beauty or not) that could fit this category.... even more enabling! hahahaha Share products you find that you think others might like....
A place to say thanks to helpful BTer's, share your new BT status or heart achievement... A place to joke around, share memes, riddles or anything else you want to. Let's bring back some life in this place!!!!
This thread will be for Ulta GWPs only. Share ulta promos here. 4/15/17: Please do NOT post requests for the spreadsheet in this thread. Please post requests for the Ulta GWP google spread sheet in this thread: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Off-Topic/Ulta-GWP-Google-Spreadsheet-Request-Thread/m-p/2753063#M11... Let's keep this thread on topic! ********************************************************* Since a lot of information is being removed from this thread, try to help each other out and add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can search for items on ulta. *****Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item. The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. It's not a search, but a direct link to the page.*****
Welcome back to the deal sharing fun! Deals shared here may also be posted to my blog (same name as the thread) unless you write for BT only. If I share your deal, I will always thank you here. I will heart every deal I see (without an outside or cheat link) to acknowledge it. Beautytalk (the forum) does not allow outside links. A heart with no comment means I already have the deal or am deciding not to list it. Please list the retailer (without the link or cheat link; dot com) if it is not mentioned in the picture. Mods come in more often when they see any type of link. Thanks for sharing (original deals and repeats are welcome)! Please also share any deal haul you want, especially mystery gifts. Discussion is encouraged. A lot of questions come with certain deals or retailers. When I see questions I can answer, I will respond (unless the poster consistently ignores me or someone else already answered the complete question). I read all the main posts (so no need to tag me). If you're replying to a post that is not near the top of the thread and want me or a specific person to see it, please tag us. If you're posting about something on sale at Sephora, please share it here: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Hauls/Sephora-Sales-Section-Get-it-Now/m-p/2122832#M44949 I thought I edited this to leave a message here, but after reading some private messages, I realize it did not take. This time, I will make sure it does before I sign off. Instead of waiting until I can return to reading every message to return at all, I will just pop in on certain days. I hope everyone is doing well. For me, some days are better than others.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone had some skincare suggestions. I am fairly new to the world of skincare and I really want to work towards more radiant skin. I have sensitive and combination skin. I also have some acne problems, but those aren't my main priority at the moment. I was looking into some of Sephora Collection's cleansers and was wondering how those are. Also, how is the Urban Decay Hot Springs Hydrating Gel and would it work alone as a moisturizer? If you have any suggestions or tips, I would really appreciate the help! Thank you!

So I have 2 girls 13 and 14yrs old. They always see me using skin care items and they are starting to get interested taking care of their skin. Which is good because I didnt do it when I was their age 😬 I want to ask what brands are good for teens for a face moisturizer? From sephora or any drugstore brand 😊 Thank you in advance!
I just found out that the "Espresso Your Love" has been discontinued. I am not interested in the "Caffeine Buzz" shade which is a red brown. What is a good dupe for the Espresso Your Love? I'm looking for something that wears all day on my upper lid, and is a dark brown.

Do you agree with her views on skincare products? I'm on a hunt for my Summer night serum & moisturizer. I think I'm going to purchase the Perricone Blue Plasma even though it stinks so bad of fish & I hate fish. I've been researching products a lot and one of the sites I was on was Paula's Choice. She is not a fan of the serum... Actually the more I read through her "beautypedia" reviews, it seems like she's not a fan of a lot of products. I also got a feeling she was mainly trying to push her own products and Olay. Examples: - She's against treatment cleansers since it's just "washed down the drain". I have to disagree with this. When I use a treatment cleanser, although they can be drying, I do see improvement in my breakouts. - Witch Hazel is bad. I find witch hazel to be an important ingredient when choosing a toner. She think it's just as bad as alcohol if not worse. Products she gave a "poor" rating to: - Anthony Logistic's Glycolic cleanser got a poor rating because it doesn't contain any glycolic acid. - doctor dennis gross's A/B pads since we can just skip step 2 by simply splashing water on our face to deactivate step 1. - Dior Capture Totale One Essential Serum because it's not a "miracle serum" since it's primarily just "water, slip agents, and alcohol" - ExfoliKate - Just about every Ole Henriksen product I love - Origins Checks & Balances, Charcoal Mask & every other decent product from them - Most Murad products I do agree with a few points she makes, like companies need to stop putting active ingredients in clear vials so the sun doesn't break down the properties of the treatment. Also jar packaging is a big no-no for her. I understand that some creams are too thick to be put in a pump, but what about those airless jars that Bosica & Dermadoctor are using? I hate sticking my fingers in jars & the air does break down the active ingredients over time... Overall though, I don't think I'll be going to her site when I'm researching a new product I want to try.
