Thinking of using FRESH soy face cleaner as a face wash, DIOR hydra life Pro-Youth Creme as moisturizer, and the MURAD acne spot fast fix as a routine system. As far as foundation... Bobbi Brown skin foundation stick. Good combo.... or NO?!
I am so gonna try this!! This trick will hold your foundation in place all day. No excess post powdering. It will also fill in pores and some fine lines! I KNOW! We've been told to powder after foundation, and this makes total sense. And it works. But what works really well is to powder before foundation. After moisturiser and primer THEN YOU POWDER. Then you apply foundation OVER THE POWDER! This will fill in pores. But what it will do is keep your foundation in place all day. If you have dry skin you will not need to powder your foundation after. You can just leave it. For those with very oily skin you will need a touch of powder on the t-zone only. Give it a go. Let me know what you think and the results Oh and thumbs up! Thank you!
I'm going to post a picture of me without makeup. Because hey, I love makeup, but I'm also working on embracing my face au naturel, too. None of this "I'm not wearing makeup" when you're wearing a tinted moisturizer, brown mascara, and have a slight flush to your cheeks and lips. I'm talking no makeup AT ALL (No, not even clear lip balm). This is me, about 10 minutes out of the shower. Anyone else brave enough?
Woo-Hoo!!!! I've been a bit absent lately and have missed some heart parties (sorry, my bad) So I was Thrilled when I noticed that someone very near and dear to me has just passed the 2500 mark! My buddy, rdesigns, has earned 2503 hearts!! Her avatar grabbed my attention and put some kind of a spell on me - her friendship and love has warmed my heart and given me much comfort and strength. Thank you my friend. Thanks to **Sephora** for giving us this forum, were it not for bt, I would have never met some of the most special and extraordinary ladies who I am proud to call my friends. You know who you are, thank you all. ps -rdesigns - trying really hard to turn Crappy Anniversary Friday around - Thank you rdesigns for being kind enough to hit the 2500 mark today, just for me.
Hey everyone, I am in serious need of foundation ideas for my wedding. I have combination skin, but after wearing almost any foundation for more than 3 or 4 hours my face is shiny everywhere to the point where powder cannot even help it. I usually use Clinique Stay-Matte foundation, but I was wondering if anyone had any different idea for a foundation that would not cause me to become oily after a few hours. Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated because it is a destination wedding and the make-up artist won't have time to do a trial run, so I need to make sure to bring the correct foundation with me.
So I only have to spend 24$ to make VIB2015.. And I've been eyeballing the oHourglass palette since it was limited edition and I missed out on it/: but now it's back and I can't make my mind up.. Should I buy it or not? I have enough makeup as it is but it's killing me... Lol I'm addicted haha! however, ladies i need your voted! Hourglass palette or Météorites’ Pearls?? Which one is better or worth it??
Only one more day until TGIF! Here are some questions to hold you over 1. What beauty brands do you know of that are releasing new collections soon? 2. Does anyone own a Nutribullet? Ever tried using one?( I am considering buying one and I wanted some feedback) 3. What 2 pairs of shoes do you find you wear the most? Styles and brands? 4. What is your current favorite drink? Besides water of course! 5. How many times a week do you use a face mask? What kinds? Brands? 6. Have you ever meet anyone in person that you first met through BT? 7. 2 Favorite nail polish colors to wear? Brands and colors please. My answers: 1. Bite Beauty has those tinted lip balms which I think are already available now, but I'm super excited to try them! 2. My friend owns one and it seems like such a great product, but it costs $99 so I wanted to be sure it was awesome before I spent the money. 3. My floral Keds and my Black bow flats from Sam & Libby. 4. I am all about chamomile tea right now! 5. Twice; I used the Origins charcoal mask and the Glamglow supermud every other week. 6. Nope, but I met someone based on a recommendation made by someone on BT, my hair colorist. 7. Essie Ballet slippers and Julep Oxygen formula...which is funny because they look really similar.
How much did you spend during the sale? I got a lot of things since it started (stocking up on favorites and trying new things) and spent just a tad over a grand. But, I'm happy with what I have! I feel like I should look like this, haha!
... Or am I Sephora's only #1 sucker lol I have a recent obsession with Guerlain.. Am I the only one?! Any product recommendations from them that I need in my life? I already have Meteorites in medium and terracotta bronzer with both pretty brushes to match. i just ordered the perles meteroites which i am super excited about, meteorites in dore (just in case before its gone again- i know, Sephora addiction problems... but i missed out on the anastasia contour kit so i had to make up for it some how until its back in may lol)and the midnight secret cream. I have the mirror lipstick in and out of my cart for weeks trying to decide between Garance and Garcia... Any suggestions?? any recommendations? Anyone try and love the midnight cream or not love it? feedback more than welcome and appreciated
I'm trying SO hard not to break my wallet so I'll live vivaciously through y'all's hauls until end of the month. I am in the middle of establishing a skin care routine (trial and error), it's been very frustrating but I am willing to try anything. I know that anti-aging care is important at an early age. I am in my mid 20's and I have come to the conclusion that I am allergic to the chemical form of SPF. Any suggestions of an spf (moisturizer) that has none of the chemical elements? One that won't look pasty on my face that I can use with my makeup? (I have combo, sensitive, acne prone skin)
So I'm a doof who mistook a regular Favorites fragrance set for a set of minis. O.o (I still wan that Bottled Dreams to be available, though.) I'm leaving this up on the off chance someone else makes the same mistake as me. ~~~~~~ On Sephora's front page (!), in the ad for the triple points, they show a Favorites Sampler set of Minis. I want it. It isn't for sale. (I suspect it is an older set.) Even more, I want the Bottled Dreams set of fragrance minis that currently actually has a product page. But it has been OOS/ "Coming Soon" forEVER. http://www.sephora.com/bottled-dreams-fragrance-sa mpler-for-her-P385509?skuId=1605260 Is it really coming soon? Or is it just gone? Because I would buy that set right now, dammit. Sephora. You're killing me. ... Again.
Hi ladies, I know they have other threads about sigma ,but I'm just wondering if I should get them or it'll be a waste of money. Jaclyn Hill loves them although she gets paid to rave about them and I wanted to get a set but I'm not sure which one to get! Which one would you suggest? I contour and highlight a lot & do my eyes all the time. What's your favorite sigma brushes? TIA. xoxo, Kelly P.S has anyone tried morphe brushes? A lot of beauty gurus on instagram have been using them + they're super cheap so they caught my eye.
I love this product so much! I wanted to share a tip for having it apply easily. Put a small amount in your palm (pea-sized) and then add a few drops of water to it and rub your hands together. It thins it out and it absorbs into your skin quicker.
Who is with me?! The rules are as follows … Must post a screenshot weekly showing you haven’t made any purchased ;-) (this will serve to keep me honest) Will not be swayed by cute little promos, perks or samples. Will not click the ‘Just Arrived’ link. Will not perform search for ‘sephora favorites’ Will not post any promo codes in thread. Will NOT allow outside ‘enables’ entice you to purchase! Even though a product that is on your ‘love’ list but has been sold out, comes back in stock you WILL NOT buy!!! Set a NO-BUY time frame (THIS IS NOT FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR, you pick what would work best for you!).
When I first started buying high end make up, there were a couple of brands that I would run from the lady at the counter because I wasn't interested in "That Brand!". There were a couple of booths that I would stay away from like Estee Lauder, Clinique, Clarins just to name a few. I thought of them as brands my grandmother would wear. But it was strange that I thought that brands like Dior, Gucci and Chanel were the pinnacle of cool though. I always thought of them as classics like the little black dress with pearls. Now that I'm 40 going on 41, I finally tried my first Estee Lauder lipstick and I'm in love (the free GWP didn't hurt either). I never in a million years thought I would ever buy anything from them but i'm really liking them right now. I don't know what it is... maybe the "cool" factor of who's wearing what and the ignorance of youth but I find myself shopping brands that I wouldn't have 15 years ago. Is it because I'm getting old and older, that trusted brands are now appealing to me? Who knows.... I'll always check out to see what's new on the UD website or what Kat Von D is releasing but I think that maybe I'm looking for something classic now. That and I didn't even know that Estee Lauder knew that fuchsia existed! Maybe they're trying to appeal to a younger clientel now but I'm on the bandwagon! Are there any brands that you steer clear of or that you have in the past but now you're rethinking? I find it interesting...
Well it's about darn time, hah, I have been stalking the brush and checking my email nearly every morning (they tend to send restock emails about 6AM). I just got the email at 11:29 and bought it within 10 minutes. Here's hoping it is awesome! Ladies who have it- do you love it? Which bronzers do you use it with?
I usually don't like wearing a base & prefer to go natural, but I got a sample of Supergoop's CC cream & really liked the effect it had on evening my skin tone. I'm pretty sure that one broke me out though, so I'd love to know which formula's are really good for very dry, sensitive skin. Thanks!
Does anybody else look at makeup not only as a hobby, but as a distraction? I find it as an escape sometimes. I'm in a long distance relationship, go to school, and work full time. Makeup is a way for me to numb and distract myself. Anyone else feel this way about makeup?
