Outstanding October Hauls!!
It's midnight in New York and you know what that means... it's October!! I don't care if I'm in California, I'm still making this post hahaha.    I started my haul at CVS because my sister had $10 rewards for beauty and I used that towards lipsticks for my kit.    I got Wet n Wild lipsticks in Sugar Plum Fairy, Wine Room, and Mauve Outta Here. I also got a Milani lipstick in High Voltage. I paid $2 for 4 lipsticks!   I went to Ulta to pick up NYX Dark Circle Corrector and the Essence Lipstick (4th one above) in Wear Berries   THEN, I went to Sephora to pick up a free deluxe sample of Bare Minerals lipstick in Speak Your Mind and my MUFE Birthday gift!     PS my birthday is October 18 hehe

Clarins x Dermalogica
So I have friends who work for both companies and each swears by their own products. I've been a slacker in terms of skin care and want to find a good regimen to commit to.   Any thoughts about these two brands? Or is there a third one that will show more dramatic results?   My biggest concerns: - Puffy dark circles around my eyes - Wrinkles around eyes (not super strong, if I have to pick one, the puffiness is worse) - Skin is rougher on cheeks but I get pimples in my chin more often then I think it's fair   Maybe three times a month or so... There's one starting right now    So I think maybe something with retin acid could help...

Colourpop eye shadows?I
It seems like my YT home page has been inundated with reviews of these $5 Colourpop Super Shock cream eye shadows. They actually look quite lovely, but when I see everyone and their mother doing a review for something they were sent on YT, I tend to take those reviews with a heaping grain of salt. Has anyone actually tried these? The price is appealing at least.

Roller balls and eye creams?
I have always wondered about those cooling roller balls, but never introduced them to my skin care regime as I thought they wouldn't provide much hydration to replace my eye creams. Do people generally use roller balls with an eye cream?  Is there a recommended step to use it (i.e.  day or night, before eye cream or before make up)?  Do you have any specific product recommendations? Let me know, I am very curious! Sugarislove

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks
I've been eyeballing the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks in Rose for quite some time now, adding it to my basket and then removing it again, repeatedly. Before I committed to the purchase, I wanted to ask some questions about it here, since the "Ask a Question" section on that product page says it's currently unavailable. The questions are thus: How sheer is the color? Does the product go on thick, like a full-on lipstick? Does the product look very natural, as it claims in the description? I own the Stila Convertible Color in Poppy, and while it is a beautiful shade, I find that the product is pretty thick. I'm looking for something that's going to be fairly sheer while still providing a good amount of color, but is natural-looking as well. I would be using this product just for lips, as I don't wear blush. Have any of you tried or bought this product, and if so, what are your opinions about it? Can you answer my questions regarding it? I would very much appreciate it!

Worst Customer Service EVER!!!!
So let me start off by saying I never posted here before but after yesterdays horrible experience I didn't know anywhere else to go.  So yesterday I went to sephora on 34th st herald square. This store is known for its bad customer service and rude employees, its like that every time I go. No one can ever help you because the employees are always talking to each other and if you dare ask for help they always have an attitude as if you're bothering them.    I went to the store to buy a tria laser which Ive been wanting to buy for a while. As Im browsing for 30 minutes looking for it (no one has offered help nor can I even find someone to help me) I eventually make my way upstairs and finally I find it. As soon as I get near the tria laser I get this nasty look from an employee with glasses ( too bad I didn't get her name). So Im looking at the tester model and grab a box and she tells me with a nasty tone "you can't open that". I choose to ignore her since I wasn't opening the box and she knows that and nor were those my intentions. As Im holding the box and looking at the information on the box she rudely tells me in a horrible tone "its the same as the model except white" and then she rudely yells at me with a condescending tone "don't open that" once again, at this point I'm shocked at the way she's speaking to me that all I can say is "I know that". I was with mother and she too was shocked at how we were treated and spoken too.   The entire time she was staring us down as if we were gonna steal something or do something illegal. It was unbelievable. She was spying us on. She even followed us to the cash register. Even though at that point I felt like leaving and not buying anything or ever returning back the whole point we even went to sephora was so I could buy the tria laser. I did buy it but I felt really bad afterwards. Even when we were at the register she kept giving us dirty looks. I will say the cashier evangeline was nice to us.   Ive had bad experiences before but nothing like this. This tops the cake. Im not even excited to use my tria anymore since I can't help but think of the horrible way we were treated talked down to and looked at. I felt horrible walking out of that store. Im a paying customer so why am I being treated this way. I have been a customer of sephora for years and spent so much money, but never again. It really saddens me to say but I'll just take my business else where, where Im not treated like a criminal just because of the way I look. I really hope sephora fixes this so It doesn't happen to anyone else.

Waxing Your Neck?
Does it hurt? I get my eye brows waxed occasionally but waxing your neck sounds really - REALLY - painful.   I have a lot of hairs on my neck and chin, and they're long, not like peach fuzz unfortunately (I could deal with that) and I think my only option is waxing. Does the hair grow back lighter after the first waxing or do you need several sessions for it to start growing slower? I don't know why I have facial hair like that, but if it's hormonal will waxing even work? Or will the hair grow back within a week?   Thank you!

What is going on with Sephora's warehouses?!? 10 missing samples, 2 missing promo code items!
Today I came home and was super excited to have 8 Sephora boxes to open up even though most were gifts for my family and friends. I had purchased a few of  the Ocos Locos 2, Feminine Palettes, Philosophy make up removers , etc from the recent sale   First of all, I noticed that instead of receiving the Sephora gift bag like I requested, all 8 orders were in big gift boxes.   Then, after opening all of my packages, I was missing 10 samples in total. All of the ones that I was supposed to get the Kate Sommerville exfloiant were missing. I know that they are allowed to substitute samples, which they did for some, but I was still missing 10 !   To make matters worse, I was missing 2 of the Clinique Smart serums that I was supposed to get for using the SMART promo code.    I'm not impressed at all with the warehouse! Can someone please tell me what is going on with the warehouses?

Looks like PinkTober is upon us. This means new items For Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Well, it's that time of the year again - the time when we get to buy special products for ourselves (and others) and possibly feel a little less guilty about spending, knowing that a portion of the money we spend goes to a worthy cause.    Breast Cancer is not just something for women to worry about, it is a disease that men can be diagnosed with too.   * I was hoping we could all post products that we find that support legitimate charities to raise money, Please feel free to post whatever you find.*  If you search "Beauty That Gives Back" here at Sephora you'll find a few cute items, I"m hoping there are more to come. I Just bought a pink Tweezerman tweezer - looks like it may need a BCA mate. Clinique and Sephora both offer "BCA Pink With a Purpose" Lipstick in a cute little case.   A Huge fave of mine is by Bobbi Brown - it's "Pretty Pink Ribbon Lip Gloss Collection" It's 4 glosses and they're gorgeous! (I'm hoping they're minty flavored - sometimes they do offer mint gloss - waiting on that info.) This one is really screaming my name! Estee Lauder usually does something as does Ford (they usually have special T-shirts.)   So many decisions to make, but it's so worth it. For a pinkaholic like me, this is a dream & a nightmare! But hopefully our purchases will help make other peoples true nightmares - past, present and future - turn into a dream come true.   So please feel free to add any other offers you may find.  Oh, just one other thing, please feel free to leave one of everything pink for me!   btw - As usual, sorry so long. I also hope the wording of this was okay, didn't want to use certain words that might upset someone or make light of this situation at all - I hope that came through.

Well, I just met the most incompetent cashier ever.. Way to go Sephora!
Guys, you know the saying.. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I went to Sephora on two separate occasions. First, I went to make an exchange from the DUO Mat powder to a Stila eyeliner. Meaning from $34 to $20. So I should be getting $14+tax back on a store credit card. Cashier scans the eyeliner first then the Duo Mat, then the eyeliner. Bro tells me that I owed $7.XX for 1 eyeliner that cost less than my Duo Mat. I don't think that is how math works, I am not an accountant, but I can do basic math. This dude obviously can't. He swiped the store credit card twice, meaning he puts my amount of $14.+tax on the card and then takes it back out and tells me to pay more. Uh no. Fast forward to the afternoon of the same day, I called to check my balance. NADA. There is nothing on it, that was 9/8/2014. I called numerous times to have this solved and nothing. FINE. I will pretend that I got burglarized and lost about $16.   Fast forward some more, to 10/1/2014. I went to the same Sephora to pick up some makeup removing wipes. $12 for Josie Maran and $8 for Ole Harry. $20 total. I have some gift cards to use. One had about $2.XX and the other had about $35. I gave the dude the first one, then the second one. He then tells me that the second one was just enough to cover the charge and  then threw away my gift card. I asked for the cards back and he gave me the receipts. I am now home and was looking through my receipts. Well, guess what?! Bro threw away $14.13 into the thrash, if I had not ask for my cards back. AND IF I HAVE YET TO MAKE IT CLEAR, IT WAS THE SAME SA THAT CHECKED ME OUT.   So here is my wonderful Sephora service story.  Even if they are as nice as angels, I cannot tolerate the SA's being so incompetent. I almost lost $30 just from this one guy.   Bottom line, lesson learned. If possible avoid Stonestown Galleria Sephora.

I've been experimenting with different products and I need help figuring out why my makeup never turns out the way I want. Lately I've been using Benefit Porefessional and Clinique Moisture Surge Liquid Foundation (I also use Missha BB Cream) and a Clinque compact and when I use those products (especially when I use the compact) my face looks cakey and I'm not sure how to fix it. Primer.
So I have a few primers, which I will probably keep messing around with anyway. But I use UD's Naked Skin foundation and lately it's been caking on my chin. I'm almost certain my technique is fine. I wash my face and moisturize beforehand. But now on my chin it just catches flakes of skin I can't even see. It's so frustrating because I need/want the coverage, but then you can totally tell I have foundation on.     So I need a good primer rec. I have acne prone skin, and I'm super pale so no tinted options please.

But if anyone else has any other brand suggestions.  I tried the benefit they're real push up liner and when I get it right, I love the way the formula looks, just a real deep black matte, but I don't like the applicator form.  If anyone has good suggestions I'd like to know but so far UD remains inthe lead. Most used products and the ones we always repurchase!
I am sure we all have some products that we use the most and then we "run" to Sephora (or other stores) to repurchase and stock up on it, with a thought - "Just in case or I am about to finish up my other one, so I might as well pick up a back up now... etc" .    What are your most used products, the ones you know you'll go and repurchase no matter what?    Mine are: - Anastasia Brow Wiz -  ohh boy - this is one of my little fave things that I use the most and I buy few of them a year, just because I use it so often. - Nars Creamy Consealer - does its job, so smooth and gives me the coverage I need! - When Travelmate face masque <3 - so amazing, portable, and  travel safe/mess free!!
